  This is a fantastic idea! I particularly like the idea of Sims having different singing abilities. If singing's going to be a big feature, what about the ability to sing opera as well? 😁

  I might be going a bit too far here but also what about the ability to put on musicals (I'm aware there are acting sets in Get Famous so maybe something similar?) with costumes available in CAS.

  You get my approval just because you didn't leave out woodwind and brass instruments! (EA would, though. I know them too well by this point.)

  As someone who did symphonic band in high school, I saw my friends get stabbed with a bassoon mouthpiece/reed more times that I can count.

  I've played bassoon for over a decade now. I don't recall that ever happening to me or anyone else. Not saying that it doesn't happen, just that I think it's a little dramatic to add a death with the bassoon when that has never happened for any other instrument in the series (correct me if I'm wrong). Out of all of the years I've played the instrument, the worst thing that could happen was bonking someone else with the bell because you're not careful. lol

  Yeah, apparently, people have died from bassoon deaths, but I think it's rare.

  I could be great if we could record our songs in a studio and sell albums and singles in retails or in parks. Maybe, this pack could introduce radio stations and careers. Our Sims would be able to do interviews for instance and their songs could be played on radio.

  Sadly, they probably will never put an old major record label hit song in Simlish due to the costs (royalties) of licensing, and the extension around the turn of the century on copyrights and patents (DMCA, I'm looking at you). So basically, we would be talking songs by indie artists, or less well known singers/songwriters looking to promote their music. And yes, that is the accountant (along with the cynic) in me talking.

  I have been playing The Sims since 2001, when Livin Large came out. My avatar deliberately looks like Chris Roomies from TS1.

  Yeah, true, but I think they once had a Katy Perry song before in the Sims 3 so they might be able to get some of those artists or bands to sing. If the sims team does make this pack I hope they are able to get many of the artists or bands I listed.

  Okay, I've been seeing speculation on a possible music and bands pack so I'm bumping this thread up in hopes the Sims team will use our ideas. Post more of your ideas to this thread and I'll edit them into the main post.

  Bands, new music instruments like drum, bass or saxophone, venue as new lot type and traits
  
  And maybe, some artistic careers from TS3 Showtime, including magician and acrobat.
