Can't say that I ever have, come to think of it, even though there's one near the big movie theatre downtown.

HYE been to an animal petting zoo?

    HYE done community theater?
  • ignominiusrexignominiusrex Posts: 2,680 Member
Been to it, but was never involved in the production. It looks like loads of fun, and theater people seem like some of the most fun people anywhere, so I wish I had.

    HYE grown your own food?

    HYE been on the news?

100%, I once told my boss I was on my way to visit my grandmother so I couldn't come in and cover someone's shift, because I really did not feel like going into work and get yelled at by customers and the assistant manager. I was sitting on my couch no where near my grandmothers.

hye lied to get a job

Never, though I wonder sometimes if maybe I should have. It seemed to work for a relative of mine.
But then again, if an employer will only take people based on who puts on the best show and is a good laugh at parties, instead of assessing actual skill and how much care a person takes in their work, then I'm not sure I really want to work for them anyway. (Resist urge to rant about how biased the recruitment process is and the huge problem with attitudes in the world of work. Resist!)

Hye sneaked in places forbidden to the public?

Absolutely, and can never regret it. I'd do it again given the opportunity, it's a thrill not to be missed.

HYE seen the inside of a famous band's HQ?

Yes. I often eat them on camping trips. Marshmallows roasted on a campfire are the best for s'mores.

    HYE had a BLT sandwich?
  • cynciecyncie Posts: 4,548 Member
Yes, but since I’m allergic to tomato I make mine with cheese. So, basically a BLC sandwich

HYE been away from home for more than a few weeks?
  • ignominiusrexignominiusrex Posts: 2,680 Member
Not quite, because at the time, I was only living somewhere for a few weeks so it was more like having "home" change frequently, not like I was away and going to return to wherever I was before.

    HYE snorkeled?

HYE seen a carnival side show?
  • ignominiusrexignominiusrex Posts: 2,680 Member
The carnivals we have are basically traveling rides with midway games and food stalls. No sideshow of the sort I have only read about in historical descriptions.

Have you? And if so, please describe what a modern-day sideshow is!

I haven’t recently. As you said, most carnivals now are midway games and rides. When I was growing up, one of the traveling carnivals had a small sideshow. There was a “Oddities” museum, a fortune teller, and maybe a bearded women. It wasn’t large. The reason I mentioned it, there’s apparently been an effort to revive some of the old sideshow acts in less seedy contexts, especially things like daredevil acts, sword/fire swallowers, and contortionists.

    HYE had your fortune told?
