Been poring a bit over descriptive writing in Chapter 14 of the Legacy. It’s interesting to delve into the mindsets of these characters and see what their motivations are:
4 hours later
Haruo grabbed his books off the desk. Lockers were rented by the semester and he’d rented one for his books so that he wouldn’t have to haul them around all the time at UBC. He could go to his locker and grab the ones he needed for that day.
He was never going to be top of the academic roll however, he had been pleasantly surprised when things had started to go his way in terms of learning. He’d always had trouble with certain academic subjects in high school such as algebra and calculus. He’d also failed several trigonometry quizzes. He hadn’t done much better in the sciences either.
And chemistry was just outright dangerous for him and anyone else within a fifteen foot radius, especially if potentially flammable or explosive chemicals were involved.
It was just lucky that in Athletics nothing of that sort were utilized. However there was talk in the dressing room of other intramural sports that certain performance enhancing products were being utilized; this was stuff that was potentially illegal and was not to be taken on the hockey team. Coach had taken a hard line on that. Anyone caught using performance enhancements would be kicked off the team and their scholarships stripped and they would get a lifetime ban on intramural competition. The stakes were that high and university was supposed to be clean competition.
Haruo was not about to put such chemicals into his body, nor was he going to test the ironclad resolve of his coach. He was going to compete on the ice clean. No matter what the cost or toll to his body. Those body-checks were crushing and could be felt even though the chest and shoulder protectors and most of these guys were not small by any stretch of the imagination. It was like getting run over by a Mack truck.
Lunch for Haruo was chicken and a salad. With him burning off calories with exercise he had to replace calories with protein for his muscles to burn. He also needed to be able to grow those muscles to have a chance at fending off those hard checks and not suffering a career ending injury. Making sure that he was sufficiently, well primed in order to play at the highest calibre of inter-collegiate sports was necessary.
This was, after all, competitive; even if Haruo had no illusions about the potential of his being drafted by a professional hockey club…which was slim to none and slim just left town. He had to admit that at least he was good enough that UBC had a spot for him on their roster. Collegiate hockey was quite a bit faster and more precise than AAA that he was playing before thanks to his dad insisting that he play some sports. And being a Canadian boy, naturally his love fell to hockey. However the “A” short for AHL was a few notches above that and the “Chell” (NHL) was leagues above the “A” - only the best got there. So with UBC, Haruo was playing at the pinnacle of his skill level. And putting on the Blue and Gold to go out and battle the U of A Golden Bears was awesome enough, knowing that the cheers of his classmates rang in his ears every time he got close to the opposition net or turfed an opposing player on his rear-end for getting too close to his goalie.
He cracked open his textbook for the Physical Education curriculum and started to pore through it. He needed to be aware of everything that needed to go into his head in prep for any exams he had to take. The quarter term quiz would make up fifteen percent of his final grade for the semester. The mid term would be thirty, the final exam would be fifty and five percent would be student participation. So he had to crack the books since the instructors for each of his courses would hinge a lot of their marks on the mid-terms and the finals. But he had to meet the quarter-term quiz and pass it to know two-fold that a. He could understand the course material. b. That he could garner enough points to pass his course which was a minimum 70% pass rate. Anything below that was a fail.
So he had to make it on his exams. If he scored at least a respectable 85 percent on all his exams plus the student participation he’d get an 86.67% for his final grade. Maybe not enough for honour roll, but enough to pass his semester and be on a roll going into the next semester.
Haruo was not going into medicine or anything related to kinesiology; it was just a field of study leading to a degree where he would utilize the knowledge to keep himself healthy while relying on fishing to support his family. Torao had the green thumb and Haruo would help him while their respective fiancées did their thing.
He looked forward to being able to get his degree and get out into the real world. He wondered if minoring in business was the smarter thing to do in terms of his fishing since he was going to be selling his fish to commercial stores in addition to what he would be providing for their own dinner table.
He figured he could put in for a few more courses and make business yet another set of courses to tuck under his belt and finish university with a major in athletics and a minor in business administration.
Should it be that fishing was lean there would always be something to fall back on. He could become an gym teacher at the school. It was an option that potentially could open for him.
Or the other option was business administration which was a steady job, learning the ins and outs of business and potentially becoming a CEO. Haruo preferred the sedate job of fishing however, but if he wanted to make money at that he needed to learn the techniques and locations to catch what was known in fishing circles as the money fish: the death-fish.
So at least Haruo has given himself several outs. If one business falters, he has multiple avenues of income which will help River not be the sole breadwinner in the household.

I didn't know what to have Daisy do when she woke up so I just decided to have her meditate.
Then, she got a notification that she wasn't friends with several Sims now and they also spread rumors about her. The only one I really cared about was Elizabeth's daughter, Jaimee. She summoned her to the house, then chatted with her a bit.
Afterwards, it came time for Jacob's age up party. It's a bit hard to tell who he favors at this point, but he has his fathers wing color, and his mother's skin and hair color.
The family and Jaimee all sat down to eat cake together. I didn't mess with changing Jacob's clothes, but I might do that when I play again. (Probably in about 30 minutes from now).
Lily is a couple levels away from reaching the top of the martial arts skill so I had chop some balsa wood.
Not too long after this picture was taken, Brandon reached level ten of the athletic skill and thus completed another LTW. I now gave him the one where you need to max martial arts and athletics. It shouldn't take him too long to accomplish this since he's already a master in athletics and is about halfway through the martial arts skill.
Lauren finished one book and I started her out on another. She still has a few more genre's to write in, and a few more skill points to gain. She has let her painting go for the time being, but does do one occasionally.
Daisy and Lily both started exercising but then Daisy wanted to chat with her sprite.
Lily and Brandon practiced martial arts together, but Lily has more skill points.
That night, Jacob got to sleep in a normal bed. However, Tommy Bunch came over from the family cemetery and decided to haunt the bed Jacob was sleeping in. Luckily, it didn't wake him up but it was so stupid.
Lily needed to get out of the house since she had the stir crazy moodlet, so I sent her over to collect honey and see what elixirs were for sell.
The garden is getting about empty, but the money trees are still going strong. I'm not planting any in the next town, though.
Brandon and Lily practiced martial arts again, and Brandon gained another skill level.
Lastly, a Spooky Day party was thrown but most of the guests stood on the porch. The party was still going on when I quit for the night.

Nice to still see them together at least I still have a couple of new Sims to work on myself but I am in a new job working 12 hour shifts 4 on 4 off. Been going well so far though and I work by a beach (I clean the toilets lol) but I am by my roots
Also this came up on Facebook earlier. Humara, Jean and Naggy Sue. I was thinking about her earlier thinking that in the present day my Sims stories would not actually work considering everyone would be influenced by social media (Humara would be all over date sites!)

It's good to see that you are lurking in the background. I should have been tagging the Simself creators since I started playing this game again. I had to go back and put tags in the last three posts because I keep forgetting.
Some time later I've had a bit of a think about how to explain what's currently happening in Cake Island. I've decided it'll probably take pages to fully explain so I'll give you an overview and show you a few screenshots.
This one hasn't got much to do with the story. It is an impressive social jig. These are the things that are usually invisible. Sims won't walk across or onto them. They should automatically be deleted after the sims in the social situation that generated them stop that socialisation. In this case the two of them are throwing ball to each other. Most social jigs I've seen are small circles or ellipses for human sims, or tiny shiny balls for pets. They are there to stop other sims from trying to use the same spot while another sim is using it for some reason. They are usually invisible and can be hard to find if they don't delete after the sims move on and you end up with spots of your lot that sims can't walk across. It can be really annoying if they are in front of something important, such as a fridge.
I activated a house containing a single female sim with a toddler. Now I had paired this sim up with a male sim and placed them together in this house and gave them an instant baby before leaving them to it and playing the game elsewhere.
While I was dealing with the Black family I noticed the male sim, Jay Clarke, had moved out to another house and I wanted to check on him to see if his partner and child had moved with him. I found him living alone. I do remember, while working on the Black family, I had a very brief look at him in the distance and he appeared to be heavily pregnant so I was half expecting to see him with an alien baby. But he was living alone and looking his usual trim self. I didn't get a screen shot - sorry. He is one of the sims I made years ago when I was playing 8 sim households of unrelated young adults. I made a lot of sims back then. So I had established there was potentially a household of a female sim with a baby/toddler. I quickly tracked them down.
The female sim is an adult. Her baby had become a toddler. Now this particular female sim holds a special place in my games. I previously told you about Perry Hansen. He is now an adult. He was Patience's first grandchild ever born. His mother, Heather Hansen, had a baby with her imaginary friend. Heather's parents are Patience and Marty Hansen. Her elder sister is Helena Hansen, now Helena Fields.
This was my first imaginary friend encounter and really had no idea what was going on with IFs. I knew that Imaginary Friends could have babies with their owners because people were posting about it. So I told Heather to try for baby with her Imaginary Friend. They did it a few times before Heather became pregnant. Now at that point, the Imaginary Friend was live but not real. Much later I made the potion and Heather got her IF to drink it but that failed because I already had 8 sims in the household. So I moved them out to live on their own and she made her IF real and it turned out to be a female. Of course I now know the IF gender isn't set until they become real. I know this because I've made a lot of them real and sometimes the game crashes and I lose the IF made real and it returns to doll form so it has to be made real again and it often becomes real with a different gender than it had last time it was made real before the game crashed.
So this Imaginary Friend was named Annie Hansen when she finally became real.
And, after her partner had moved out to live alone, Annie was living with her toddler daughter in this house.
Then something really dangerous to Annie's quiet existence happened. I decided there were too many toddlers in this world that were in dire need of immediate training. It would be far too time consuming for me to go to each of their households and train them individually. So I thought I'd better move them ALL in with Annie so I can train them properly and together which will be a much more efficient way of doing it.
So Annie's household expanded from 2 to 9 sims. Annie was there alone with 8 toddlers to take care of. Annie's reaction, at first, was to play very loud computer games but then she autonomously moved from computer games to playing the piano.
She started out without much skill and didn't stop, even after she got to level 10 in the Piano Skill. She has started learning some piano songs from music she purchased at the bookstore but seems to be more interested in the guitar now.
Having no conscience regarding my destruction of Annie's peaceful existence, I decided if I added the 7 unskilled children to the household as well, then I could give them some training too. And of course to add to her woes every single one of those toddlers and children had an imaginary friend doll that simply has to be made real. And then taught their skills. Fortunately for Annie I only thought about grabbing the teens from around town too but that thought led to the thought of endless crashes due to lake of memory so I relented and Annie doesn't need to worry about hoards of teenagers moving in with her too. I will ten to the teens once I've got the current sims in her household all trained and moved back with their families.
By the way, this is Perry, Annie's son with Heather.
Perry doesn't appear in Annie's family tree. Probably because Annie wasn't real when Perry was born. Perry has the pyromaniac hidden trait and I've read that children of imaginary friends sometimes get that trait. I first realised Perry was different when he was a child and was able to pick up seeds lying on the ground. Apparently children with the pyromaniac trait can do that. I later used a mod to check Perry's hidden traits and confirmed my suspicions, he is a pyromaniac.
I'm thinking of giving Annie and her toddler a makeover. This is because Annie never got a proper makeover. I did give her a new skin and hair when I paired her up with her partner but that was it. She still has the default Imaginary Friend features. And her daughter seems to have been born with a custom skin and she looks as if she has the Imaginary Friend default features too. Although I rarely see a toddler Imaginary Friend. Of course she has a doll in her inventory.
I had a peek into a few houses. I found 8 toddlers without skills. They had all been toddlers for real life years. I checked, using Master Controller, and found there were 7 children without skills. Only one of the children was expected to age up soon. She was the first mermaid I ever had born in a game and she got me the badge to have a mermaid baby. That happened way back - soon after Island Paradise was released so it's about time she grew up. But here she is and she's still a child.

Her father is that evil mermaid, Salty Seaworth. But in this game I've given them a different last name as I had another version of Salty established in the world.
This is Annie's daughter, Margie Hansen, as a toddler. Margie is a born in game Imaginary Friend. She has her own Imaginary Friend doll in her inventory. (Actually I think she has gained an extra doll at some point. I checked and everyone else still has their dolls but Margie now has two.)
Well, the toddlers I moved in with Annie include Jeannie and Paul Fields. This pair are children of Ted and Helena Fields. Helena is the eldest daughter of Patience and that makes Jennie and Paul the youngest grandchildren of Patience.

I don't have a picture of his sister, Nina. She has the same coloured hair and is older than JohnPaul. Nina is the oldest of the toddlers and is soon to age up automatically.
Here is Paul Fields. He has an older sister too. Her name is Jeannie. I didn't get a picture of Jeannie as a toddler. She had short strawberry blonde hair.
Paul and Jeannie are children of Ted Fields and Helena. Ted is an ex-partner of Patience and Helena is Patience's eldest daughter.
Another toddler in the group is Larry Langerak.
Larry is the son of Carmel and Parker Langerak.
Carmel is the daughter of Patience and Ted. So Larry is the uncle and half-brother of Jeannie and Paul. There are lots of bizarre complications in Patience's relationships.

I made sure I got a good shot of Larry as he failed to age up until I reset him and of course once he got reset he lost all of his features and became a pudding sim. I tried to return him to the features he was born with but I suspect my efforts weren't perfect. Maybe I should have tried taking him into CAS and writing down all of the numbers for his various facial features instead of trying to rely on a screenshot.
I'll go through some of the other toddlers here now.

Marlene Kluver is the younger sister of MaryAnne Kluver. I changed the Seaworth family name to Kluver when I added them to this Big Game as I already had another Salty Seaworth family in the save.
Tom Sekemoto is the son of Tammi and Leighton Sekemoto. Tom arrived at Annie's place with his sisters. They are all children.
Here are Johnpaul Flower with Mary Ann Kluver. I gave Mary Ann a makeover when I first moved her family to Cake Island and they joined the Big Game. Here she is as a child. She is by far the eldest child here and is about to age up to teen.
I added a chemistry table to the household and gave Mary Ann the job of learning how to make the Imaginary Friend Metamorphium potion. She then got to make potions to turn all of the imaginary friends in the household real. It took her forever to do and I'm sure she now has an aversion to the chemistry table but she did make it to level 10 in logic and has decided to be a Renaissance Sim. She only needs to get to level 10 in two more skills to achieve her lifetime wish.
And one more pic of John Paul Flower - this time he is aged up to child. He is a hybrid genie and fairy. His mother is Lucy who is a genie who was one of the original nannies in the old version of the boarding school. She met her future husband there when I introduced him to the game and they moved out of the boarding school and got married and had two babies, Nina and Johnpaul.

Here is Marlene Kluver. Mary Anne's little sister. They have a brother, Puck, in the house too. Puck is the middle child.
Female toddler mermaids have pink scales by default. When they age up to child they get the female default purple scales. I decided to fix Marlene's scales so she has her own scale colour. I gave their brother Puck the same colour scales as their father, Salty.

I'll post more later. We will see more of the children. Probably not many toddler pics to be found and they have since all aged up to child. I've aged Mary Anne up to teen too.
This is a continuation of the activities in Annie's Cake Island Home.
Mary Ann Kluver continues to make Imaginary Friend Metamorphium potions. She needs to make about 16 of them. She had to discover how to make the potion first though and that took her ages. But by the time she had made about 10 of the IF potion she was making them really fast.
The 7 children of the household set to work learning their child skills and got a bit of logic study done while they wait for their turn at the blocks or toy ovens.

All of them are learning skills. Some have gone fishing too.
Sometimes they got some time off learning skills and loved to play with their Imaginary Friend dolls. This was before I added the playground equipment to their back yard. Two of the Sekemoto sisters are playing with their IF dolls.

Tom Sekemoto's elder half brother is Sam Sekemoto. His parents are Tammi and Leyton Sekemoto. Tammi is a Sim I made years ago. She met and married Leyton while working as a Nanny at the boarding school while it was in Sunset Valley.
Tommy has three younger sisters, Sally, Cathy and Amanda.
I expect Tommy will age up to teen before they all return home to their parents. I'm not sure about the girls. I'll have to look at how long it is before they ought to age up.
Here are four Imaginary Friends made real learning their blocks skill. They are Bill Sekemoto with longish pale orange hair, Pricilla Sekemoto in blue with blonde bun, Wilma Kluver in striped top and Pearce Sekemoto in brown shirt.
Wiggles becoming alive

Colette is the daughter of Giles and Susie Koffi. Susie is a sim from Dragon Valley. Her original name was Susie Sackhlome. Colette has inherited her pointed ears from her mother. Giles is the son of Patience and Gobias Koffi. This means Colette is a full cousin of Eric and Susanne so I expect Oscar and Eric and Susanne will be visiting this Koffi household in Cake Island at some stage.
These three pictures of Bo bo becoming live are more about what's going on in the background. Mary Anne Kluver is telling a ghost story to some of the children. There are a few ghosts wandering around the house due to there being two gnomes of the darned on the lot.
The fairy with the green wings is Sally Secomoto. She must have been one of the many toddlers who were turned into fairies by a mod I had in for a while - I took it out when I realised all of the toddlers in the worlds were turning into fairies. But I left the little ones that had been turned as they were. Sally was not born a fairy.

Most days some of the children went fishing. Later on Annie purchased fishing bait books and the children started reading them. Mostly they could only read two or three of the bait books as their fishing skills were not very high but at least they learned something.
The screenshots I managed to get are a bit patchy. I'll try to provide a full line up at some point but they'll probably all be aged up and ready to go home before I manage to get that to happen.
The final post for a while. This one gets us up to date. I haven't posted pictures of everyone in the household yet but I'm sure that will happen eventually. There are currently 22 Sims in the household. There are still imaginary friend dolls of 7 children that need to be made real. I think one of the children has 2 dolls.
I don't dare make an extra 7 or 8 dolls real with 22 sims in the household. So I've aged up Mary Anne and her IF Wilma. They'll be returning home to the Kluver household. I'll check on them at home later to make sure everyone has a bed etc.

It was very late at night - or early morning. Annie got abducted.
I aged Wilma up and was horrified.
She looked so haggard and 🐸🐸🐸🐸. I took her into CAS and her body slider looked as if she was normal weight so I pulled it farther to the right and she didn't change. I decided I'd have to accept her as she was and returned her slider to the original position and saved. I got an Error 12. That was a relief.
I'm wondering if it was the light casting shadows that made her look so frightening as it was night time in game at the time.
Next morning I decided to have another go at aging Wilma up. She wanted to ride the bee spring rider so I let her do that first.
She aged up and this time she is exactly the same but she looks so much better to me. It must have been the light and different clothes because when I see how she looked in CAS she looked fine.
She looks much better the second time she aged up. She's still very thin. But the game gave her different clothes this time and maybe that made her look much better.
I'm quite excited now to see how the other children age up as Wilma was such a surprise. I'd never have thought of trying to make a sim looking like this but she is believable to me and now I think she's really pretty.
That's it all up to date.
I'll make some more posts later. Probably in a day or two as I have a lot to do with sending sims home before turning the remaining imaginary friends real and giving them some skills.
It's almost midnight at my place. I am shutting down now. Tonight I sent Mary Anne and Wilma home to the Kluver household after making sure they had enough beds now there will be an extra sim. Then I sent Colette and Whitney Koffi home after making sure they had enough beds. And finally I sent all of the Sekemoto children home. When I got to their house I discovered there were no beds for any of the children who had come from that household. It was set up for toddlers with cots and no beds for them when they aged up to child. So I made quite a few alterations to the house and sent all eight of them home. That household is now totally overstuffed. There are 11 sims in the household now.
Tomorrow I'll make a few more imaginary friends real. I hope to get all of the remaining 8 children at Annie's place to have their imaginary friends real. Mary Anne made an extra potion before she left because one of them now has two imaginary friends in her inventory.
I also used Master Controller to tell me how many teens are in the world. The answer is 20. But that number includes Mary Anne and Wilma. That pair are all done. It looks like I'll have another 18 imaginary friends to make real. Then I'll start moving households to other worlds because with all of these Imaginary Friends becoming real the population of the world has exploded.
@texansky I keep asking why oh why do my sims seem to gain an extra imaginary friend doll. I had one child gain a doll after she'd made her original doll real. Others suddenly turn up with 2 dolls. I thought they were stealing them from other sims but the other sims all still had their dolls. Very confusing. But all the more sims to add to my already overstuffed households and worlds.
I wonder if there is a way to merge the two Bradleys with mods. I saved the game and shut it down because I had to go to work. Maybe when I restart there will be only one. I didn't have that family active, so I don't know if there were two portraits in the panel.

It depends on how it happened. The game will see them as two different sims since they are already both in the game already. The way I handle this type of situation is I change one a bit and give him a new name. Sometimes I then usually alter the family tree so they are siblings or cousins. But siblings is easier. Or you could use Master Controller to totally annihilate one of them.
Aw, My son got an email... It said something like... How can I tell my autistic 5 year old son that we have to pay the electric bill instead of buying him presents. My son is autistic. He just had to give something away. He wants to help children like that. I told him he could use whatever points I have to buy someone here a present. I had less than a dollar. He want's to get someone the green dress. He keeps asking if anyone responded.
I guess I'll post an update before I'm more than 1000 pics ahead of my posts.
Last time, Stephen had been chatting up Vivian, his new girlfriend, and got her to move into his apartment.
Vivian, like most of the Maloney's, was still a vampire at that point, and Vivian's move left a few very upset Hemlock's behind.
Stephen knew... people and arranged to have that vampire issue for Vivan fixed, with her consent, of course.
Vivian and Stephen shared a lot of interests, and they spent much of their time with painting.
A love that followed them into their dreams.
Stephen had to scan art for his job, and the paintings both of them produced qualified.
Vivian may not have been too happy about it, but Stephen still had to invite his colleague Ashley over to keep his Rebel attachment at the top level.
Their tiny garden was growing nicely.
In the kitchen, they had a couple of Life Fruit and Bumbleleaf bushes growing. Here, Stephen is having his dose of Bumbleleaf with his autumn salad.
That made it completely safe to use his Streetart skill in town.
Vivian and Stephen were visiting the Atkins household (mostly Jett and Elspeth in those days). Vivian had to work on her relationship with Bronson Littler, who was her boss at that time. Given Bronson is inappropriate, that was more work than usual.
Bronson's half-sister Tiara was also there. She's a full adult and very pretty, as always.
Another guest was Ethan. Not sure what brought him to broach exactly this subject in his conversation with Tiara. They have four kids together, but, well, they obviously aren't living together. Then again, it's just walking distance between them, so could be worse.
In their home area, Stephen got some flowers from Jessica. Jessica is flirting with everyone, so that's not exactly uncommon.

Vivian was working on her Rebel skill in the meanwhile. This should be enough for Stephen not to need any outside "sources" to keep that one up anymore.
As usual, the two were all over each other.
At this point, Vivian decided to tie a nice bow around the whole thing and propose marriage. Which, of course, was accepted.

So I decided to move my mermaid Kiona to Isla Paradiso, since I wanted her to have access to the dive spots. I got so many good screenshots I had to really decide which ones to post. In the end I still need to split it into 2 medium posts and there are some really good shots that would just make it too much so unfortunately some shots I still loved are left out
First I moved Kiona into a houseboat, and I immediately sent her out into the world (in the first shot you can see her houseboat behind the trees)
Because she's a mermaid, the first dive spot she visited needed to be The Mermaid Grotto
She quickly started finding chests, catching fish, finding shells, etc.
There was a second chest there too.

Over at Davy Jones' Locker, she met some scuba divers, and she stopped to say hi before moving on to find more loot!

I didn't know what to have Daisy do when she woke up so I just decided to have her meditate.
Then, she got a notification that she wasn't friends with several Sims now and they also spread rumors about her. The only one I really cared about was Elizabeth's daughter, Jaimee. She summoned her to the house, then chatted with her a bit.
Afterwards, it came time for Jacob's age up party. It's a bit hard to tell who he favors at this point, but he has his fathers wing color, and his mother's skin and hair color.
The family and Jaimee all sat down to eat cake together. I didn't mess with changing Jacob's clothes, but I might do that when I play again. (Probably in about 30 minutes from now).
Lily is a couple levels away from reaching the top of the martial arts skill so I had chop some balsa wood.
Not too long after this picture was taken, Brandon reached level ten of the athletic skill and thus completed another LTW. I now gave him the one where you need to max martial arts and athletics. It shouldn't take him too long to accomplish this since he's already a master in athletics and is about halfway through the martial arts skill.
Lauren finished one book and I started her out on another. She still has a few more genre's to write in, and a few more skill points to gain. She has let her painting go for the time being, but does do one occasionally.
Daisy and Lily both started exercising but then Daisy wanted to chat with her sprite.
Lily and Brandon practiced martial arts together, but Lily has more skill points.
That night, Jacob got to sleep in a normal bed. However, Tommy Bunch came over from the family cemetery and decided to haunt the bed Jacob was sleeping in. Luckily, it didn't wake him up but it was so stupid.
Lily needed to get out of the house since she had the stir crazy moodlet, so I sent her over to collect honey and see what elixirs were for sell.
The garden is getting about empty, but the money trees are still going strong. I'm not planting any in the next town, though.
Brandon and Lily practiced martial arts again, and Brandon gained another skill level.
Lastly, a Spooky Day party was thrown but most of the guests stood on the porch. The party was still going on when I quit for the night.

It's good to see that you are lurking in the background. I should have been tagging the Simself creators since I started playing this game again. I had to go back and put tags in the last three posts because I keep forgetting.
I can see why you saved Cake Island for last (avoided it). Good update of the Black household and all of the IF makeovers.
This one hasn't got much to do with the story. It is an impressive social jig. These are the things that are usually invisible. Sims won't walk across or onto them. They should automatically be deleted after the sims in the social situation that generated them stop that socialisation. In this case the two of them are throwing ball to each other. Most social jigs I've seen are small circles or ellipses for human sims, or tiny shiny balls for pets. They are there to stop other sims from trying to use the same spot while another sim is using it for some reason. They are usually invisible and can be hard to find if they don't delete after the sims move on and you end up with spots of your lot that sims can't walk across. It can be really annoying if they are in front of something important, such as a fridge.
I activated a house containing a single female sim with a toddler. Now I had paired this sim up with a male sim and placed them together in this house and gave them an instant baby before leaving them to it and playing the game elsewhere.
While I was dealing with the Black family I noticed the male sim, Jay Clarke, had moved out to another house and I wanted to check on him to see if his partner and child had moved with him. I found him living alone. I do remember, while working on the Black family, I had a very brief look at him in the distance and he appeared to be heavily pregnant so I was half expecting to see him with an alien baby. But he was living alone and looking his usual trim self. I didn't get a screen shot - sorry. He is one of the sims I made years ago when I was playing 8 sim households of unrelated young adults. I made a lot of sims back then. So I had established there was potentially a household of a female sim with a baby/toddler. I quickly tracked them down.
The female sim is an adult. Her baby had become a toddler. Now this particular female sim holds a special place in my games. I previously told you about Perry Hansen. He is now an adult. He was Patience's first grandchild ever born. His mother, Heather Hansen, had a baby with her imaginary friend. Heather's parents are Patience and Marty Hansen. Her elder sister is Helena Hansen, now Helena Fields.
This was my first imaginary friend encounter and really had no idea what was going on with IFs. I knew that Imaginary Friends could have babies with their owners because people were posting about it. So I told Heather to try for baby with her Imaginary Friend. They did it a few times before Heather became pregnant. Now at that point, the Imaginary Friend was live but not real. Much later I made the potion and Heather got her IF to drink it but that failed because I already had 8 sims in the household. So I moved them out to live on their own and she made her IF real and it turned out to be a female. Of course I now know the IF gender isn't set until they become real. I know this because I've made a lot of them real and sometimes the game crashes and I lose the IF made real and it returns to doll form so it has to be made real again and it often becomes real with a different gender than it had last time it was made real before the game crashed.
So this Imaginary Friend was named Annie Hansen when she finally became real.
And, after her partner had moved out to live alone, Annie was living with her toddler daughter in this house.
Then something really dangerous to Annie's quiet existence happened. I decided there were too many toddlers in this world that were in dire need of immediate training. It would be far too time consuming for me to go to each of their households and train them individually. So I thought I'd better move them ALL in with Annie so I can train them properly and together which will be a much more efficient way of doing it.
So Annie's household expanded from 2 to 9 sims. Annie was there alone with 8 toddlers to take care of. Annie's reaction, at first, was to play very loud computer games but then she autonomously moved from computer games to playing the piano.
She started out without much skill and didn't stop, even after she got to level 10 in the Piano Skill. She has started learning some piano songs from music she purchased at the bookstore but seems to be more interested in the guitar now.
Having no conscience regarding my destruction of Annie's peaceful existence, I decided if I added the 7 unskilled children to the household as well, then I could give them some training too. And of course to add to her woes every single one of those toddlers and children had an imaginary friend doll that simply has to be made real. And then taught their skills. Fortunately for Annie I only thought about grabbing the teens from around town too but that thought led to the thought of endless crashes due to lake of memory so I relented and Annie doesn't need to worry about hoards of teenagers moving in with her too. I will ten to the teens once I've got the current sims in her household all trained and moved back with their families.
By the way, this is Perry, Annie's son with Heather.
Perry doesn't appear in Annie's family tree. Probably because Annie wasn't real when Perry was born. Perry has the pyromaniac hidden trait and I've read that children of imaginary friends sometimes get that trait. I first realised Perry was different when he was a child and was able to pick up seeds lying on the ground. Apparently children with the pyromaniac trait can do that. I later used a mod to check Perry's hidden traits and confirmed my suspicions, he is a pyromaniac.
I'm thinking of giving Annie and her toddler a makeover. This is because Annie never got a proper makeover. I did give her a new skin and hair when I paired her up with her partner but that was it. She still has the default Imaginary Friend features. And her daughter seems to have been born with a custom skin and she looks as if she has the Imaginary Friend default features too. Although I rarely see a toddler Imaginary Friend. Of course she has a doll in her inventory.
I had a peek into a few houses. I found 8 toddlers without skills. They had all been toddlers for real life years. I checked, using Master Controller, and found there were 7 children without skills. Only one of the children was expected to age up soon. She was the first mermaid I ever had born in a game and she got me the badge to have a mermaid baby. That happened way back - soon after Island Paradise was released so it's about time she grew up. But here she is and she's still a child.

Her father is that evil mermaid, Salty Seaworth. But in this game I've given them a different last name as I had another version of Salty established in the world.
This is Annie's daughter, Margie Hansen, as a toddler. Margie is a born in game Imaginary Friend. She has her own Imaginary Friend doll in her inventory. (Actually I think she has gained an extra doll at some point. I checked and everyone else still has their dolls but Margie now has two.)
Well, the toddlers I moved in with Annie include Jeannie and Paul Fields. This pair are children of Ted and Helena Fields. Helena is the eldest daughter of Patience and that makes Jennie and Paul the youngest grandchildren of Patience.

I don't have a picture of his sister, Nina. She has the same coloured hair and is older than JohnPaul. Nina is the oldest of the toddlers and is soon to age up automatically.
Here is Paul Fields. He has an older sister too. Her name is Jeannie. I didn't get a picture of Jeannie as a toddler. She had short strawberry blonde hair.
Paul and Jeannie are children of Ted Fields and Helena. Ted is an ex-partner of Patience and Helena is Patience's eldest daughter.
Another toddler in the group is Larry Langerak.
Larry is the son of Carmel and Parker Langerak.
Carmel is the daughter of Patience and Ted. So Larry is the uncle and half-brother of Jeannie and Paul. There are lots of bizarre complications in Patience's relationships.

I made sure I got a good shot of Larry as he failed to age up until I reset him and of course once he got reset he lost all of his features and became a pudding sim. I tried to return him to the features he was born with but I suspect my efforts weren't perfect. Maybe I should have tried taking him into CAS and writing down all of the numbers for his various facial features instead of trying to rely on a screenshot.
I'll go through some of the other toddlers here now.

Marlene Kluver is the younger sister of MaryAnne Kluver. I changed the Seaworth family name to Kluver when I added them to this Big Game as I already had another Salty Seaworth family in the save.
Tom Sekemoto is the son of Tammi and Leighton Sekemoto. Tom arrived at Annie's place with his sisters. They are all children.
Here are Johnpaul Flower with Mary Ann Kluver. I gave Mary Ann a makeover when I first moved her family to Cake Island and they joined the Big Game. Here she is as a child. She is by far the eldest child here and is about to age up to teen.
I added a chemistry table to the household and gave Mary Ann the job of learning how to make the Imaginary Friend Metamorphium potion. She then got to make potions to turn all of the imaginary friends in the household real. It took her forever to do and I'm sure she now has an aversion to the chemistry table but she did make it to level 10 in logic and has decided to be a Renaissance Sim. She only needs to get to level 10 in two more skills to achieve her lifetime wish.

His mother is Lucy who is a genie who was one of the original nannies in the old version of the boarding school. She met her future husband there when I introduced him to the game and they moved out of the boarding school and got married and had two babies, Nina and Johnpaul.

Here is Marlene Kluver. Mary Anne's little sister. They have a brother, Puck, in the house too. Puck is the middle child.
Female toddler mermaids have pink scales by default. When they age up to child they get the female default purple scales. I decided to fix Marlene's scales so she has her own scale colour. I gave their brother Puck the same colour scales as their father, Salty.

Mary Ann Kluver continues to make Imaginary Friend Metamorphium potions. She needs to make about 16 of them. She had to discover how to make the potion first though and that took her ages. But by the time she had made about 10 of the IF potion she was making them really fast.
The 7 children of the household set to work learning their child skills and got a bit of logic study done while they wait for their turn at the blocks or toy ovens.

Sometimes they got some time off learning skills and loved to play with their Imaginary Friend dolls. This was before I added the playground equipment to their back yard. Two of the Sekemoto sisters are playing with their IF dolls.

Tom Sekemoto's elder half brother is Sam Sekemoto. His parents are Tammi and Leyton Sekemoto. Tammi is a Sim I made years ago. She met and married Leyton while working as a Nanny at the boarding school while it was in Sunset Valley.
Tommy has three younger sisters, Sally, Cathy and Amanda.
I expect Tommy will age up to teen before they all return home to their parents. I'm not sure about the girls. I'll have to look at how long it is before they ought to age up.

Colette is the daughter of Giles and Susie Koffi. Susie is a sim from Dragon Valley. Her original name was Susie Sackhlome. Colette has inherited her pointed ears from her mother. Giles is the son of Patience and Gobias Koffi. This means Colette is a full cousin of Eric and Susanne so I expect Oscar and Eric and Susanne will be visiting this Koffi household in Cake Island at some stage.
These three pictures of Bo bo becoming live are more about what's going on in the background. Mary Anne Kluver is telling a ghost story to some of the children. There are a few ghosts wandering around the house due to there being two gnomes of the darned on the lot.
The fairy with the green wings is Sally Secomoto. She must have been one of the many toddlers who were turned into fairies by a mod I had in for a while - I took it out when I realised all of the toddlers in the worlds were turning into fairies. But I left the little ones that had been turned as they were. Sally was not born a fairy.

Most days some of the children went fishing. Later on Annie purchased fishing bait books and the children started reading them. Mostly they could only read two or three of the bait books as their fishing skills were not very high but at least they learned something.
The screenshots I managed to get are a bit patchy. I'll try to provide a full line up at some point but they'll probably all be aged up and ready to go home before I manage to get that to happen.

I don't dare make an extra 7 or 8 dolls real with 22 sims in the household. So I've aged up Mary Anne and her IF Wilma. They'll be returning home to the Kluver household. I'll check on them at home later to make sure everyone has a bed etc.

It was very late at night - or early morning. Annie got abducted.
I aged Wilma up and was horrified.
She looked so haggard and 🐸🐸🐸🐸. I took her into CAS and her body slider looked as if she was normal weight so I pulled it farther to the right and she didn't change. I decided I'd have to accept her as she was and returned her slider to the original position and saved. I got an Error 12. That was a relief.
I'm wondering if it was the light casting shadows that made her look so frightening as it was night time in game at the time.
Next morning I decided to have another go at aging Wilma up. She wanted to ride the bee spring rider so I let her do that first.
She aged up and this time she is exactly the same but she looks so much better to me. It must have been the light and different clothes because when I see how she looked in CAS she looked fine.
She looks much better the second time she aged up. She's still very thin. But the game gave her different clothes this time and maybe that made her look much better.
I'm quite excited now to see how the other children age up as Wilma was such a surprise. I'd never have thought of trying to make a sim looking like this but she is believable to me and now I think she's really pretty.

Tomorrow I'll make a few more imaginary friends real. I hope to get all of the remaining 8 children at Annie's place to have their imaginary friends real. Mary Anne made an extra potion before she left because one of them now has two imaginary friends in her inventory.
I also used Master Controller to tell me how many teens are in the world. The answer is 20. But that number includes Mary Anne and Wilma. That pair are all done. It looks like I'll have another 18 imaginary friends to make real. Then I'll start moving households to other worlds because with all of these Imaginary Friends becoming real the population of the world has exploded.

I wonder if there is a way to merge the two Bradleys with mods. I saved the game and shut it down because I had to go to work. Maybe when I restart there will be only one. I didn't have that family active, so I don't know if there were two portraits in the panel.
It depends on how it happened. The game will see them as two different sims since they are already both in the game already. The way I handle this type of situation is I change one a bit and give him a new name. Sometimes I then usually alter the family tree so they are siblings or cousins. But siblings is easier. Or you could use Master Controller to totally annihilate one of them.

Last time, Stephen had been chatting up Vivian, his new girlfriend, and got her to move into his apartment.
Vivian, like most of the Maloney's, was still a vampire at that point, and Vivian's move left a few very upset Hemlock's behind.
Stephen knew... people and arranged to have that vampire issue for Vivan fixed, with her consent, of course.
Vivian and Stephen shared a lot of interests, and they spent much of their time with painting.
A love that followed them into their dreams.
Stephen had to scan art for his job, and the paintings both of them produced qualified.
Vivian may not have been too happy about it, but Stephen still had to invite his colleague Ashley over to keep his Rebel attachment at the top level.
Their tiny garden was growing nicely.
In the kitchen, they had a couple of Life Fruit and Bumbleleaf bushes growing. Here, Stephen is having his dose of Bumbleleaf with his autumn salad.
That made it completely safe to use his Streetart skill in town.
Vivian and Stephen were visiting the Atkins household (mostly Jett and Elspeth in those days). Vivian had to work on her relationship with Bronson Littler, who was her boss at that time. Given Bronson is inappropriate, that was more work than usual.
Bronson's half-sister Tiara was also there. She's a full adult and very pretty, as always.
Another guest was Ethan. Not sure what brought him to broach exactly this subject in his conversation with Tiara. They have four kids together, but, well, they obviously aren't living together. Then again, it's just walking distance between them, so could be worse.
In their home area, Stephen got some flowers from Jessica. Jessica is flirting with everyone, so that's not exactly uncommon.
Elvira being Elvira just around the corner.
Vivian was working on her Rebel skill in the meanwhile. This should be enough for Stephen not to need any outside "sources" to keep that one up anymore.
As usual, the two were all over each other.
At this point, Vivian decided to tie a nice bow around the whole thing and propose marriage. Which, of course, was accepted.
It's so romantic

First I moved Kiona into a houseboat, and I immediately sent her out into the world (in the first shot you can see her houseboat behind the trees)
Because she's a mermaid, the first dive spot she visited needed to be The Mermaid Grotto
She quickly started finding chests, catching fish, finding shells, etc.
There was a second chest there too.
This memory was extremely picturesque to me
Over at Davy Jones' Locker, she met some scuba divers, and she stopped to say hi before moving on to find more loot!
Over at Pearl's Deep there was someone screaming but no attacks occurred:

I did a lil bit of editing to the houseboat, making the upstairs bathroom a really nice place for her to rehydrate sometimes, and turning the second bedroom into an aquarium room:
