I actually got mine finished, but I ran into routing issues last night when play-testing it, so I need to fix those. Then I still need to get screenshots. And before I can upload, I need to update my mods so I can patch my game. Due to how real life is at the moment, I probably won't get all that done until some time later this week. I'm pleased with how it turned out though (other than the routing problem, which I will fix).
The challenge for May is to use the blueprint above to design a home. Your build can be on any size lot and any style you choose. There is no budget but please do not use any custom content. Please hashtag with #BB30 and #AlJay2000 when you upload it to the gallery. As always, if you wish to make a household for your new build, please feel free to do that as well!
If you need a starting point, I have uploaded a shell to the gallery for you to use. This is just a guide and can be put on any size lot with any wall and foundation height.
This house is a Haunted House Residential lot type. I had to modify the bathroom plans because I was having some routing problems. I also added a small basement, for reasons that will become clear when you look at the slideshow thread. I used the shell by Aljay. Thank you so much for making those! As always, I struggled with the landscaping, but I like the final results.

I had a lot of fun making this house. Thanks for letting me turn it in late!
Your story is written so very creatively! @GlacierSnow It was great to read it and at the same time it showcases the areas of your haunted house, both inside and outdoors,so very well! It is great the way that you have written it as a letter. The home is lovely! Very great exterior design, and lovely furnishing of the interior. The wall patterns and wall tiling in the rooms are very nice.
I love your house, @GlacierSnow ! Your design choices are lovely inside and ideal outside. I like the way you've made a secret room, so clever! I enjoyed the letter home and wouldn't mind reading more. Wonderfully creative and fun.
For every time my kids have said "It's fine Mom, all good" . . . Anyways, great story @GlacierSnow and your build is perfect to set the scene for quite a story indeed.
Additional Notes: I truly cannot figure out how pictures work on this forum, I'm so sorry! If anyone can link to a tutorial please let me know and I will update this with pictures once I know how!
@GlacierSnow Love Lies Here is a beautiful Haunted house! You have done a great job of creating a historical look for this home. I love the story and characters that you made to go along with it. Well done and thank you for entering even though it was a bit late
I spent so much more time on the Sims than I should have in the past few weeks XD I wanted a break from my SanMyshuno rebuild, so I decided to try this challenge and put it in Selvadorada. I hope you all like it!
Additional Notes: New Year's happened while I was testing the build and taking pictures. Ignore the glittery decorations on the eaves and foundations in some of the pictures. I took some liberties with the furniture layout to make this rental home in Selvadorada toddler-friendly and pet-friendly.
Beautifully done @SerraNolwen! The plan is perfect for Selvadorada the way you have interpreted it as an inviting vacation rental. I’m more than half done but mine does not look anything like yours.
A Jungle in your Backyard is a lovely jungle home for Selvadorada! @SerraNolwen Very nice exterior design, and the flowers, plants, greenery, pond are so very lovely! The little floor lights look very pretty in the nighttime on the path edges. Very nice outdoors dining, bbq and fireplace sitting patio. Sims will have fun on the waterslide. The interior furnishings are lovely! Very nice tiger wall pattern in the living and dining room areas. The wood texture of the furniture through the build areas is very nice, The patterned floor rugs are very nice. Very nice blue wall tiling in the bathroom. The soft toys in the kids room are cute!
BLUEPRINT BUILDS May Shell #BB30 Origin ID: PINKUSFAMILY Gallery Name of Build & Link:DelSolValley in May Album:Photos Additional Notes: Love this shell. In my real life I have been looking at real-estate , Open concept, Ranch & Split-level homes, So I decided to make this home a split level, Sunken living room, sunken Study, up 2 steps on each side of the home are the bedrooms with their en-suite baths.. On the lot in Del Sol Valley it had so much space that I was able to give some space for gardening, for playing and a nice inground pool. I had fun with this ! I played with roofing - I thought this was a bit different..

Have fun! I am looking forward to seeing your creativity on this one!
Agree with Lissy, it's a very good floor plan. A bit large for my preferences but I think we could make wonders with it.
