@emorrill sad to see you're having problems. I had similar issue with fluid in the ear and the dr told me to get a nasal spray for allergies. It has worked for me but I was only getting a little ear ache not dizzyness etc. I hope you find a solution soon.

Hey everyone. (Will do reply comments tomorrow. It's late and I gotta head to bed...)
Good news! Since my head has been feeling a little less dizzy and wobbly today I was able to get some writing done. Yay!
Now, as I was beginning to write the next scene of my Stardew Valley fanfic I make some subtle references to things that were mentioned/happened in one of the early chapters (Chapter 4! Feels like forever ago...) and because it was so long ago I thought I would post a flashback to jog your memory so y'all don't feel completely lost when reading the latest update.
We're going WAY back to the time when the group all met together for the very first time to discuss the mysterious Quest. Elliott and Leah had just hooked up and had a "romp" in Abigail and Maru's room upstairs! Remember? Anyhoo, Harvey called everyone together for the meeting and that is where this flashback begins.
It's really so amazing for me to see how the characters were then compared to how they are now. They've all grown SO much!

“Alrighty, do we have everyone here?” Harvey asked, glancing amongst the crowd and counting.
“All except for Leah and Elliott,” Haley remarked, smacking on some gum she found in her bedroom end table.
“Gee I wonder why?” Shane muttered.
“Sorry everyone, we’re coming!” Leah declared, racing down the stairs fixing her hair with her fingers, Elliott trailing behind her. Everyone in the room shot the two a questionable look. They both sat down in the empty loveseat facing Harvey which they were surprised a couple of the others hadn’t chosen to sit on instead of in a chair or on the floor.
“Nice of you two to join us,” Harvey said and then cleared his throat. “Alright so I’ve called all of us here together so that we can discuss this ‘quest’ the Wizard has sent us on.”
“What quest!?” Sam blurted out.
“Yeah!” Alex added. “I don’t recall him giving us any details about it, unless one of you heard something I didn’t.” Haley nodded at his comment.
“That’s exactly why I’ve brought us together to discuss it,” Harvey said, “but first, let’s talk about what happened, from the beginning, that brought us all here. Starting at the beginning should jog all of our memories.” He then looked over at the guys sitting on the left to the guys sitting on his right. “Guys do you mind if I’m the spokesperson for all of us on how we were summoned to the tower?”
They all nodded, except for Shane.
“Yes, I mind,” the lone wolf of the group replied, “because the ladies might be interested to hear each of our accounts about it.”
“They’re…pretty much the same,” Harvey interposed, annoyed by Shane’s minding which he knew he was only doing to pester him.
But Shane ignored his comment. “Besides who made you the leader here anyway?”
“It kinda makes sense since he’s the oldest,” Sam voiced.
“What?” Sebastian asked him, “I thought Elliott was the oldest.”
All eyes looked over at Elliott and the man simply scrunched up his nose and shook his head at them. Sam shot Sebastian a wide, victorious grin.
“Look this isn’t a matter of me being the oldest or not, or trying to be the leader,” Harvey said, giving Shane a quick glance. “I just thought it would be a good idea for all of us to come together and discuss this so that we’re all on the same page and can figure out what exactly this quest is all about.” All the girls nodded to that.
“Whatever…,” Shane muttered again.
“Shane knock it off and let the man speak,” Elliott firmly addressed.
“Make me bard boy!”
Elliott’s mouth dropped in surprise at the name call. “I’m not a bard,” he countered, “I’m a writer!”
“Well you sure look like one to me!”
“Hey!” Leah cut in, eyeballing Shane with a waggling finger. “No one talks to my boyfriend like that!”
“WHAT!?” everyone cried out, staring at the new couple.
A dead silence filled the room as Leah blushed, trying to put together what she was going to say.
“Yes,” she began with, “Elliott and I are officially a couple now.” She gripped his hand and turned toward him with a loving smile. “It took us being apart like this to realize just how much we love each other. And we didn’t want to waste anymore time.” Elliott returned the smile with a blush and wrapped his arm around her, bringing her in for a cuddle.
“Aww!” Emily cooed.
Sam leaned back in his chair with his legs crossed, picking at the cuticles on his fingers as he said, “I guess it’s not too surprising since you two have always paired off together at the seasonal festivals.”
“Yup, and they totally had sex upstairs,” Shane muttered again.
“Alright…,” Abigail but in, giving Shane a look. “Please continue the discussion Harvey.”
Shane shook his head with an eye roll.

Thank you! I do send my sims off for a camping weekend occasionally in my non story games. I've made a few camping lots over the years. It's fun getting them out of the house and doing something different.
Good to see Stephen's story being written. I've enjoyed reading about his luck or lack thereof in the romance department. Oh, cool! Finally! Some luck!
@texansky Thank you! Appreciate the comments. I do love watching them play gnubb and yes, the bonk on the head is too funny! It's always a good time to check on other sims while they are playing too as they generally won't stop until I make them.

Even though Judy has been preggers since I started testing Supernatural, she finally told Jorge officially. You can see his sister cooking in the background. She is living with them for now. This picture was taken April 4th. Been a while since I played in that world. My plan this week is to work and play in Mary's story during my free time. I don't know how much I will have though. Both companies I work for are begging for help this week. Good for the pocketbook even if not my play time.
Because I was inactive for nearly 5 years, I've only made 530 posts in all that time, while you have made over 4,200+.

I’m enjoying your many posts and wishing I had a replacement computer already but the 9 months to an year time frame still stands firm so I won’t be seeing a computer before next year February at the earliest - 2023.

Yeah, Daisy's other three children have all had kids by now, and a lot of them are almost or already are young adults. Daisy got a wish granted from the genie to make her live longer, so her lifespan is double a normal Sim.
Thanks, he gets that from his genetics.
She's an elder now, just a bit earlier in that stage than one of her younger daughters.

@bekkasan thank you. That spreadsheet has been growing over the years. I seem to add extra columns occasionally but tend to keep the already existing columns, even if I'm not currently using them. They contain data that I once thought useful and may well want to use again. The skills sims have makes an interesting pattern. There are some skills lots of unplayed sims get and other skills they rarely seem to get. And every so often I have to add a new skill column because someone has learned something none of the other 1000 or so sims in the spreadsheet have done.
The castle was a great learning experience. Especially since I first built it on top of that plateau at the far side of Dragon Valley. I really had to learn about the set terrain offset cheat to be able to place it anywhere else. It took me days to get it onto a flat lot.
I enjoyed the pictures you posted of your new build. It looks beautiful, plus it seems to have lots of mysterious places for sims to explore.

I kind of thought so, but I couldn't remember. I was playing Ava Sinclair, a Sim I created, and her family with Hank Goddard back then. Not too long after, I started doing my first Ultimate Sim attempt.
Daisy helped to take care of Jacob since his parents were busy.
Brandon continues to workout and is almost at level 10. When he hits that, he will complete another LTW.
Lily has been working in the garden as much as possible to ready it for the coming winter.
Lauren continues to work on writing at least one book in every genre. She's either at level 7 or 8.
When Lily completed her LTW, I decided to give her the One (Wo)Man Band one and had her start working on the piano skill. She's already a master at guitar so she only has three to go.
Jacob has found out he has wings now and he will sometimes float around the area he is in.

Daisy and Brandon had a bit of a chat in the morning.
Brandon then went outside to pester the paparazzi by switching him into his sleepwear.
It was still pretty early when Lily went out to the garden.
Afterwards, Lily and Brandon chatted a bit in the kitchen.
And Daisy read a book. Otherwise, there wasn't a lot going on.

(I took it from his cash and gave it directly to the children, rather than the household funds. I don't think I would have had that option if the households hadn't been out and about at the time.)

Yeah, it seems like both of my muses love the stimulation that my getting behind the wheel gives them.
Now of course I naturally don’t write while driving as that would be a recipe for a car wreck, but by the time I drop my wife off, it will be a nice little kick in the rear ends for my muses that, “hey, it’s time to go to work and cook up some writing ideas.”

@texansky Thanks a lot for your wonderful comments. It's surprising how much effort you put into these, and even more so how much detail you record in your simselves run. I more or less just picked a few pics here and there from the many I took, and I hardly ever take shots of the notifications. Given I usually play the whole town - to different degrees, of course - a lot of that stuff is just a fleeting image in my games. Maybe, the way the Slayer and the Helsing were getting rid of all of the town's vampires in my game would have made for the more exciting story, but I didn't take pics of the notifications and missed most of the fights themselves.
I never played in Appaloosa Plains, and I probably won't (don't like to deal with lots of pets in the game), but it's good I at least recognize a few of the simselves in your game . That must be pretty funny to see for the people who provided them .
I gather that Ephraim Slayer and Danette Starr are Ethan's children?
Yes, Ethan has lots of children (about a dozen), although he's only raising the last straggler and her former IF himself. I should make everyone in town related to everyone else in about three generations tops .

@emorrill Fluid in the ears is something I absolutely hate. I have had a hole in my right ear drum since a rather severe case of that. Not particularly fun. And yes, I remember that meeting in your story. Of course, I now also know the significance of the stars. Not so many Junimos in your story though .
@bekkasan Yes, I'm back. Sort of. I should do more outside this summer though, so you will see less of me if I succeed. Which should be a good thing in that case. Or so I think .
Stephen's "story" is again vastly shortened, so there isn't much written out. I hope it's enjoyable, anyway.

Can't decide whether living in the pirate past is better than modern diving gear? Why not use both. You know you can have it all.

I've been working hard over the past few days trying to fix Cake Island. I can now see why I ran away from it when I visited initially.
There are a lot of young sims in this world that need attention. The world was slightly overpopulated so I should have been able to fix it by just moving one or two households out.
I moved the Black Household. It consisted of a family with 5 children.
Rod and Fleur Black are an old pair of sims I made ages ago. Fleur is the first fairy I ever made just after Supernatural was released. I made Rod at some point but don't remember if I made him specifically for her or not. I think I've only ever played him with her though.
I moved the entire household and their house to a new world. That's really All I had to do. But I didn't stop there.
The world I chose for them is 'Ridgeview - in Summer'. It is empty. Flat. Nothing in it other than geographic features and empty lots. It took me ALL Day to add buildings to the community lots. Then I had to do the rabbit holes. I think I got them all eventually. So I moved the family in.
I was aging them up and working on skills first. Then I needed to buy books. I told Fleur to buy books on line but it was greyed out and it said there was no bookshop in the world to shop for books on line at. So I added a bookshop.
I just plonked the rabbit holes down onto the lots and rarely did any decorating to the lots. They look a bit 'different' with huge business buildings sitting on mowed grass. Then I thought - I've seen that look before - when I was working I had to go to Canberra a few times. That's the Australian Capital City. And I saw lots of huge Government buildings with just grass - no concrete or anything covering the grass. They just have grass growing from the footpath right up to the bottom of the walls. So I am planning to leave the commercial buildings in Ridgeview with just grass around them - mostly.
I didn't get many screen shots. None of Ridgeview actually. I did manage a few of the Black family members. The youngest is a daughter named Yvonne. When I moved them Yvonne was a toddler. She is a fairy and I didn't manage to get a screen shot of her as a toddler. She completed her toddler skills and read her toddler books.

She was born in game so I gave her new hair and outfits.
Yvonne made her Imaginary Friend, Rags real.
I needed a potion to turn all of their imaginary friends real. I set Fleur and Felicity to work making the potions. Felicity is the first alien baby any of my sims had born in a game. She came along a few years after 2014. I don't remember exactly when. She was at the boarding school long before I ever started even thinking about making videos. She's still a teen because her family has been living in a world that hasn't been played much since she aged up to teen.
Eventually both Fleur and Felicity managed to work out how to make the Imaginary Friend Metamorphium potion. In the end Fleur made most of the potions I needed because Felicity had to go to school and there was after school activities and it was really hard to pin her down to do much of what I wanted her to do during a school week.

Yvonne and Ross (previously Rags) worked on their child skills together.
Behind them Fleur was watching Rod and Felicity have a pillow fight and Epsilon had his Sprite to talk to.
Rod is Fleur's husband and father to their children and Felicity.
All of Fleur's children are fairies. Most inherited her blue wings. This couple surprised me once when I told them to woohoo in a fairy house expecting Rod, a human, wouldn't be able to enter the tiny house but he managed it and they had their fun together in a fairy house. Having so many fairies in the household there are several fairy houses in their home.
Just a pic of Cake Island - it looks deceptively empty. I almost deleted it and replaced it with an empty world but sent a sim back there to be sure and found after a while all the houses begin to appear.
There was a traffic incident outside the school in Ridgeview.
This is one of the family Plumbots. They've been in the household from before the children were all born. They used to have chips but the chips seem to have vanished. Some times one or the other of them can garden. But never both at the same time and at first I thought I was confused but I did eventually pin them down and am now sure both of them can, and does garden, But never both at the same time. Weird. The other one is Wozza but I have no pictures of him. He is very different from Epsilon and has an oval shaped head with long skinny limbs and is black and orange in colour.
This is Epsilon. I'm glad he's shiny silver again. There was a time when none of my shiny silver Plumbots were actually shiny.

Fred is the first born of the Black children. He made his Imaginary Friend, Boinky, real and she got the name Brooke. They were teens for a while but I needed to move a few of the children out so Fred and then Brooke aged up to Young Adult and I moved them into a house I placed from my library into the new world of 'Ridgeview - in Summer'. I think I'll just refer to it as Ridgeview as writing the entire name out all the time is a bit cumbersome.
Fred's Birthday - they had cake
Brooke had cake too. Ooh look - there's Wozza helping Brooke celebrate her birthday. So you do get to see both of the family Plumbots after all.
Then she went into Stylist and had an unfortunate moment or two with suggested hair and outfits.
Brooke and Fred moved together into their new house in Ridgeview. I've given them similar traits so I hope they might end up a couple but I'm not going to do anything about that. I'll just leave them to it.
The second eldest of the Black family children is Frank. He is insane but manages to get along without too much trouble. I hope.
Frank had cake too.
Frank had an imaginary friend named Buddy who became Bronwyn after being made real and aging up. I don't seem to have a pic of her. She standing directly behind him and is wearing a blue and pink dress with white spots. They've all just returned from Fred's graduation so they are in formal attire.
I moved Frank and Bronwyn out to live in another house I placed in the world for them.
Felicity had cake too and then she was a Young Adult. Her imaginary friend was Wiggles who became Winifred.

Winnifred and Felicity each got a small house to live in alone. We'll see what happens. There aren't many empty houses in the world currently. There might be one or two of them. I grabbed a sim from my library to help me set up the world before I put it into the game. That sim is living alone in a house on the other side of town.
Before moving anyone out to live in their own home I sent three of them to the Future. I'd been thinking Rod Black needed to go to the future to collect nanites. I've had these thoughts on and off for a few months now. So when I was actually playing his household, however briefly, I thought I should just do it. So I sent Rod with his son Fred and imaginary friend made real Brooke to the future.
This was a disaster. Nothing was visible inside the buildings. I could see sims sitting and using furniture but it was all invisible. And I couldn't move up or down any levels unless I had a sim with me. I tried really hard and they managed to catch a few nanites but in the end I just gave up and sent them home. The game crashed when they got home. So I had another go. This time it all worked perfectly. Maybe there wasn't enough available memory to cope during their first visit.
They came across a Spotted Sixam and I just had to get a screenshot of it. There was a nanite beside it.
They collected a few nanites. It was very helpful when Rod got enough lifetime happiness points to buy a Collection Helper. It made a huge difference when trying to find nanites in a hurry. They stayed a few days and collected some future stuff and picked some crystal flowers.
When they got home they planted a rough circle of crystal plants around the Tree of Prosperity.
A funny thing happened when I sent them home from Oasis Landing. They had to use the time portal and chose to travel home. Now, I'd sent only the 3 members of the Black household to the Future. But when they went 'home' from the future, they travelled to Twikkii Island and landed in the Genie household with Melanie Kelly. Now, Melanie is another sim I added when I needed a sim to assist me set up Twikkii Island. She never went to the Future with the Black family. While I am in Cake Island Melanie lives in a building I use as a traveller destination but isn't set up as a base camp. When I sent the Blacks from Cake Island to Ridgeview I sent them with Melanie so she could travel back to Cake Island and leave the Blacks all in Ridgeview. While I played with the Blacks in Ridgeview, Melanie was living on her own in a house near the Sim that I'd used to help me with setting up Ridgeview. However, when the Blacks arrived home from Oasis Landing in the Future, they turned up in the Genie Household with Melanie Kelly in Twikkii Island.
So I saved that and sent the Blacks, with Melanie, back to Ridgeview. I placed all of the Blacks into their new homes where necessary and grabbed Melanie and travelled back to Cake Island.
That's when the mayhem really broke out. The next post will explain what's happening in Cake Island.

Good news! Since my head has been feeling a little less dizzy and wobbly today I was able to get some writing done.
Now, as I was beginning to write the next scene of my Stardew Valley fanfic I make some subtle references to things that were mentioned/happened in one of the early chapters (Chapter 4! Feels like forever ago...) and because it was so long ago I thought I would post a flashback to jog your memory so y'all don't feel completely lost when reading the latest update.
We're going WAY back to the time when the group all met together for the very first time to discuss the mysterious Quest.
It's really so amazing for me to see how the characters were then compared to how they are now.

Yeah, Daisy's other three children have all had kids by now, and a lot of them are almost or already are young adults. Daisy got a wish granted from the genie to make her live longer, so her lifespan is double a normal Sim.

The castle was a great learning experience. Especially since I first built it on top of that plateau at the far side of Dragon Valley. I really had to learn about the set terrain offset cheat to be able to place it anywhere else. It took me days to get it onto a flat lot.
I enjoyed the pictures you posted of your new build. It looks beautiful, plus it seems to have lots of mysterious places for sims to explore.

Daisy helped to take care of Jacob since his parents were busy.
Brandon continues to workout and is almost at level 10. When he hits that, he will complete another LTW.
Lily has been working in the garden as much as possible to ready it for the coming winter.
Lauren continues to work on writing at least one book in every genre. She's either at level 7 or 8.
When Lily completed her LTW, I decided to give her the One (Wo)Man Band one and had her start working on the piano skill. She's already a master at guitar so she only has three to go.
Jacob has found out he has wings now and he will sometimes float around the area he is in.

Yeah, it seems like both of my muses love the stimulation that my getting behind the wheel gives them.
Now of course I naturally don’t write while driving as that would be a recipe for a car wreck, but by the time I drop my wife off, it will be a nice little kick in the rear ends for my muses that, “hey, it’s time to go to work and cook up some writing ideas.”
I figure my phone will be thoroughly full by the time I get a replacement computer.

I never played in Appaloosa Plains, and I probably won't (don't like to deal with lots of pets in the game), but it's good I at least recognize a few of the simselves in your game
Regarding Russ Hemlock, no worries. SP first married him off to Elvira Slayer, but that's a drama for another time. I took care of them later.
Other than that, I'm just watching your very well ordered chaos. It's a fun ride
@emorrill Fluid in the ears is something I absolutely hate. I have had a hole in my right ear drum since a rather severe case of that. Not particularly fun. And yes, I remember that meeting in your story. Of course, I now also know the significance of the stars. Not so many Junimos in your story though
@bekkasan Yes, I'm back. Sort of. I should do more outside this summer though, so you will see less of me if I succeed. Which should be a good thing in that case. Or so I think
Stephen's "story" is again vastly shortened, so there isn't much written out. I hope it's enjoyable, anyway.
I did some camping in my younger years, but it never got a real pastime. I like it a bit more comfortable, I guess

Just some random pics of sims that aged up in my game.
Natur-loving Bigfoot aspirant. Note the Afro haircut, Bavarian lederhosen and stylish "shoes". That's everything you need for getting some excitement out of random campers in the wilderness and confuse the hunters. Just know when to take cover.
Some oriental-style circus jacket, a Scottish kilt and some cowboy boots perfect this image of cultural fusion. Wear your worldliness on your sleeves.
Can't decide whether living in the pirate past is better than modern diving gear? Why not use both. You know you can have it all.
Let's see whether I'll get to some update anytime soon.
There are a lot of young sims in this world that need attention. The world was slightly overpopulated so I should have been able to fix it by just moving one or two households out.
I moved the Black Household. It consisted of a family with 5 children.
Rod and Fleur Black are an old pair of sims I made ages ago. Fleur is the first fairy I ever made just after Supernatural was released. I made Rod at some point but don't remember if I made him specifically for her or not. I think I've only ever played him with her though.
I moved the entire household and their house to a new world. That's really All I had to do. But I didn't stop there.
The world I chose for them is 'Ridgeview - in Summer'. It is empty. Flat. Nothing in it other than geographic features and empty lots. It took me ALL Day to add buildings to the community lots. Then I had to do the rabbit holes. I think I got them all eventually. So I moved the family in.
I was aging them up and working on skills first. Then I needed to buy books. I told Fleur to buy books on line but it was greyed out and it said there was no bookshop in the world to shop for books on line at. So I added a bookshop.
I just plonked the rabbit holes down onto the lots and rarely did any decorating to the lots. They look a bit 'different' with huge business buildings sitting on mowed grass. Then I thought - I've seen that look before - when I was working I had to go to Canberra a few times. That's the Australian Capital City. And I saw lots of huge Government buildings with just grass - no concrete or anything covering the grass. They just have grass growing from the footpath right up to the bottom of the walls. So I am planning to leave the commercial buildings in Ridgeview with just grass around them - mostly.
I didn't get many screen shots. None of Ridgeview actually. I did manage a few of the Black family members. The youngest is a daughter named Yvonne. When I moved them Yvonne was a toddler. She is a fairy and I didn't manage to get a screen shot of her as a toddler. She completed her toddler skills and read her toddler books.

She was born in game so I gave her new hair and outfits.
Yvonne made her Imaginary Friend, Rags real.
I needed a potion to turn all of their imaginary friends real. I set Fleur and Felicity to work making the potions. Felicity is the first alien baby any of my sims had born in a game. She came along a few years after 2014. I don't remember exactly when. She was at the boarding school long before I ever started even thinking about making videos. She's still a teen because her family has been living in a world that hasn't been played much since she aged up to teen.
Eventually both Fleur and Felicity managed to work out how to make the Imaginary Friend Metamorphium potion. In the end Fleur made most of the potions I needed because Felicity had to go to school and there was after school activities and it was really hard to pin her down to do much of what I wanted her to do during a school week.

Yvonne and Ross (previously Rags) worked on their child skills together.
Behind them Fleur was watching Rod and Felicity have a pillow fight and Epsilon had his Sprite to talk to.
Rod is Fleur's husband and father to their children and Felicity.
All of Fleur's children are fairies. Most inherited her blue wings. This couple surprised me once when I told them to woohoo in a fairy house expecting Rod, a human, wouldn't be able to enter the tiny house but he managed it and they had their fun together in a fairy house. Having so many fairies in the household there are several fairy houses in their home.
Just a pic of Cake Island - it looks deceptively empty. I almost deleted it and replaced it with an empty world but sent a sim back there to be sure and found after a while all the houses begin to appear.
There was a traffic incident outside the school in Ridgeview.
This is one of the family Plumbots. They've been in the household from before the children were all born. They used to have chips but the chips seem to have vanished. Some times one or the other of them can garden. But never both at the same time and at first I thought I was confused but I did eventually pin them down and am now sure both of them can, and does garden, But never both at the same time. Weird. The other one is Wozza but I have no pictures of him. He is very different from Epsilon and has an oval shaped head with long skinny limbs and is black and orange in colour.
This is Epsilon. I'm glad he's shiny silver again. There was a time when none of my shiny silver Plumbots were actually shiny.

Fred is the first born of the Black children. He made his Imaginary Friend, Boinky, real and she got the name Brooke. They were teens for a while but I needed to move a few of the children out so Fred and then Brooke aged up to Young Adult and I moved them into a house I placed from my library into the new world of 'Ridgeview - in Summer'. I think I'll just refer to it as Ridgeview as writing the entire name out all the time is a bit cumbersome.
Fred's Birthday - they had cake
Brooke had cake too. Ooh look - there's Wozza helping Brooke celebrate her birthday. So you do get to see both of the family Plumbots after all.
Then she went into Stylist and had an unfortunate moment or two with suggested hair and outfits.
Brooke and Fred moved together into their new house in Ridgeview. I've given them similar traits so I hope they might end up a couple but I'm not going to do anything about that. I'll just leave them to it.
The second eldest of the Black family children is Frank. He is insane but manages to get along without too much trouble. I hope.
Frank had cake too.
Frank had an imaginary friend named Buddy who became Bronwyn after being made real and aging up. I don't seem to have a pic of her. She standing directly behind him and is wearing a blue and pink dress with white spots. They've all just returned from Fred's graduation so they are in formal attire.
I moved Frank and Bronwyn out to live in another house I placed in the world for them.
Felicity had cake too and then she was a Young Adult. Her imaginary friend was Wiggles who became Winifred.

Winnifred and Felicity each got a small house to live in alone. We'll see what happens. There aren't many empty houses in the world currently. There might be one or two of them. I grabbed a sim from my library to help me set up the world before I put it into the game. That sim is living alone in a house on the other side of town.
Before moving anyone out to live in their own home I sent three of them to the Future. I'd been thinking Rod Black needed to go to the future to collect nanites. I've had these thoughts on and off for a few months now. So when I was actually playing his household, however briefly, I thought I should just do it. So I sent Rod with his son Fred and imaginary friend made real Brooke to the future.
This was a disaster. Nothing was visible inside the buildings. I could see sims sitting and using furniture but it was all invisible. And I couldn't move up or down any levels unless I had a sim with me. I tried really hard and they managed to catch a few nanites but in the end I just gave up and sent them home. The game crashed when they got home. So I had another go. This time it all worked perfectly. Maybe there wasn't enough available memory to cope during their first visit.
They came across a Spotted Sixam and I just had to get a screenshot of it. There was a nanite beside it.
They collected a few nanites. It was very helpful when Rod got enough lifetime happiness points to buy a Collection Helper. It made a huge difference when trying to find nanites in a hurry. They stayed a few days and collected some future stuff and picked some crystal flowers.
When they got home they planted a rough circle of crystal plants around the Tree of Prosperity.
A funny thing happened when I sent them home from Oasis Landing. They had to use the time portal and chose to travel home. Now, I'd sent only the 3 members of the Black household to the Future. But when they went 'home' from the future, they travelled to Twikkii Island and landed in the Genie household with Melanie Kelly. Now, Melanie is another sim I added when I needed a sim to assist me set up Twikkii Island. She never went to the Future with the Black family. While I am in Cake Island Melanie lives in a building I use as a traveller destination but isn't set up as a base camp. When I sent the Blacks from Cake Island to Ridgeview I sent them with Melanie so she could travel back to Cake Island and leave the Blacks all in Ridgeview. While I played with the Blacks in Ridgeview, Melanie was living on her own in a house near the Sim that I'd used to help me with setting up Ridgeview. However, when the Blacks arrived home from Oasis Landing in the Future, they turned up in the Genie Household with Melanie Kelly in Twikkii Island.
So I saved that and sent the Blacks, with Melanie, back to Ridgeview. I placed all of the Blacks into their new homes where necessary and grabbed Melanie and travelled back to Cake Island.
That's when the mayhem really broke out. The next post will explain what's happening in Cake Island.
