Discovered yesterday that there is a PC version of the game out there.
Is the game worth the hoops one must jump through?
Is the process as easy as the competing providers claim it is?
If so, which is the best route to follow?
The game appears to be a different format/play style. Is it actually enjoyable or more hassle than it's worth?
Am asking you veterans out there before I make a mess of things.

Can you transfer your mobile account to the PC version though? I didn't know there was a PC version.
@Oldeseadogge I've been Playing The Sims Freeplay on iPad since it was released in 2011. I wasn't aware there was a PC version available. Do you have a link?
I have heard players have been able to use a program called BlueStacks to play FreePlay on PC. But it's supposed to be for tablets and phones only.
I have never used BlueStacks to play FreePlay, but I have used Nox Player (which is similar to BlueStacks) to play several different android games on my PC so I could play with a friend who lived in another state.
So it probably would work for Freeplay too.
BlueStacks and Nox Player are emulators, which essentially tricks your PC into acting and displaying programs as if you were on a phone or tablet only you use your keyboard and mouse.

It appears that there is no PC version as such but rather intermediate software that enables a PC to run the original version, as several of you have posted.
The big question of whether the game is good enough to override the annoyance of the timer remains. Probably an individual choice.
