My favourite sim so far was a scientist, really liked that career. Especially in combination with Strangerville's story, I just pretend it was part of the job. In general, the active ones are my favorite
I'm actually enjoying the medical career. Someone who is part of the same Facebook group as me showed me how to see what illness a patient has so your sim doesn't screw up a diagnosis on a patient. It doesn't automatically cure the sim in question, but helps when you're searching for a diagnosis.

I actually haven’t played with a good chunk of the careers so it’s hard to say which one is my favorite but Scientist is definitely up there.
If I’m playing larger households I prefer rabbithole careers because then I don’t have to deal with all of my sims all the time. Out of the rabbithole careers I like Education, Writer, and Painter.
Hospital, promotion favorite is orderly. I like no job! Playing bum sims who couch surf, and don't pay back loans. Absolutely more of an adventure to live.
I think my favorite is writer. The promotion and daily tasks are easy, it’s fairly easy to write bestsellers that bring in a lot of royalties you just have to be inspired and have high needs, and speaking about royalties, they bring in a ton of simoleons! Just write a loadddd of books and the royalties will stack up and give you so much simoleons, that’s mainly why I love the writer career!
I'm curious to know what are your favorite careers that you tend to pick for your Sims in Sims4? Either with the base game or the additional game packs. Some of my favorite ones include, the Actor's career (GF), Writer (Base game), Entrepreneur (GTW), Lifestyle Blogger (Patched in), and once in a while, the Doctor/Nurse career (GTW).
I'm not sure. I've just recently gotten back into Sims 4 after a multi-year break. So far I have a babysitter who wants to be a vet, a medical intern, and a police officer. Good stuff.

I'm actually enjoying the Science career, also from GTW. Ironically, every time I'd start over with my Cole save, I'd put my founder in that career. This time I picked up with the same family I'd made six years ago in 2015 and put Ryan's son Ryder in that career. His parents are elders with grandchildren and the game put his dad- my founder Ryan- in the Science career*! *That happened through the MCC Mod. I laughed so hard I choked. But I'm fine now. Lol! Now the family has grown by two- turning the family of 8 into a family of 10- and is getting ready to become a family of 12 as Ryder Cole and his wife are awaiting the arrival of their second set of twins! Culinary Career as a Chef, I somehow always end up with someone who does that career. Maybe not the first gen. but by the second, I have a Chef and most likely a bartender in my played sims. 😋
Well, it's now 2022 and it's rumored that Sims 5 could really be on its way in the near future. It's just too bad, we never had anymore interactive careers other than the four that came with extra packs. Or a pack refresh like Spa day that could have added a few more interactive careers. Such as modeling with Get Famous or maybe, that can still come with a European (ex. Paris, London, or Milan) or NYC fashion themed pack.
Always be your unapologetically and authentic self
