Welcome to the Roaring Heights Chronicles, a thread dedicated to documenting all of the happenings in my latest gameplay driven story. One that is set in the 1950s, and follows the lives of not one, bit three separate households as they try to live their lives in the neon-lit skyline of The Roaring Heights!

THE WHITNEY HOUSEHOLD

"Brant and Corrine are two runaways who left their home to escape the drama that their family created. Brant is a charming young man who is as handy with the ladies as he is with his car. Corrine is his younger shy sister, who, despite her struggles, does her best to follow in her brother's footsteps. Brant wants to work on the radio and fix up his cars. Corrine wants to work on her charm. Both have a lot of work ahead of them."

THE BOUCHARD HOUSEHOLD

This club, once finished, would serve her as her home, her business, and a reliable ticket to the highest of ranks of vampiric society. Will she succeed or be swept away like so many before her? Only time will tell, and of that, she has plenty.."

THE FINK HOUSEHOLD

"Eddie was once a proud and prominent private eye, but the times have changed, and so has his luck. His girlfriend had drowned, his father's ghost haunts him still, and the only friend he has is the bottom of a bottle. Things look rather grim, but everything can happen, and everything can change. Perhaps another case is all that he needs."

Eddie Fink's Traits: brave, neurotic, loner, perceptive, light sleeper.

THE WHITNEY HOUSEHOLD
DAY ONE

Unable to sleep, Brant woke up early in the morning and headed to his kitchen to try his hand at cooking. The previous night had left him exhausted, and the rain just wasn't helping like he thought it would. He made an attempt at baking some waffles, but they ended up a burned-up mess, and so he had to resort to alternative food. Cereal.

Corrine joined him just minutes after his disaster, and the two of them enjoyed a "nice" family breakfast. After they were done, Corrine retreated to her bedroom to read, and Brant went out to mingle with the locals.

He visited The Palm Tree Cafe, and had himself some coffee, but his attempts at mingling were more or less a failure. The cafe was almost empty, and the only one there was a local hot-shot that wanted nothing to do with the jittery greaser. He ended up chatting with the rather dull staff, before turning around, and heading back home.

When he returned, he checked up on his sleeping sister, and then passed out on the lounge chair. His lack of sleep finally showing.

THE BOUCHARD HOUSEHOLD
DAY ONE

Cornella spent most of her day resting at home, sculpting, staving off the sun and awaiting the night. When the night finally came, she dressed up and headed for the city.

She was the new blood in town, and it was only a matter of time before the local vampires (if there were any) would sniff her out. She had to learn all that she could about this new and unfamiliar place.

The first area she chose to explore was the infamous park located at the center of the city. It was here that she ran into someone that would eventually serve her as prey.

She approached the young woman just as the refreshment stalls were closing up, and then they talked for almost two hours. They discussed everything from gossip, to wealth and to sculpting. But then, the woman had to leave, and Cornella diverted her attention to a snake that was crawling around by her feet.

She gazed upon it and admired the creature, before finally returning to her truck and heading back home. One the way back, she passed by her target's apartment.

THE FINK HOUSEHOLD
DAY ONE

Eddie started his day by reading a book, taking a bath and then heading out to visit the local P.D. He was hurting for simoleons, he needed a case, but he was also very anxious and still in a state of grieving. He didn't really feel like solving any cases, but he knew that he had to. And so he pushed himself against his very will.

At the P.D. he received a case of suspected vandalism, and went off to confront the person that had initially reported it. He met the client by his house, and the two of them discussed the details.

Gil McGinnis told Eddie that he suspected that his next door neighbor was behind the crimes, but he lacked the proof, and so Eddie began to investigate. He followed his target, observed her moves, but in the end, couldn't find anything that would help him with the case. Samantha, despite her strange behavior, and intriguing choice of company, was entirely innocent.

He confronted Gil in the morning, and found out that the crime was nothing but a false accusation. He was still paid, but Eddie left the scene feeling like his night had just been wasted.

It's really not enjoyable for me to be switching households every in game day. Takes away from the gameplay and immersion, so what I'll do from here on out is that I'll choose a household to play with, and I'll stick to them until I'm bored. At which point, I'll switch on over to another. And so on and so forth.

THE WHITNEY HOUSEHOLD
DAY TWO

Since it was a school-free day, Corrine decided to spend her Saturday over at the beach, where she roasted marshmellows and later solved some equations in her notebook. It felt like the perfect time for her to do her homework.

There were many other people at the beach, but she found herself a nice and quiet spot. A place where she wouldn't be bothered.

Meanwhile, her big brother Brant was over at the central park, hoping to grab a quick snack from one of the festival vendors. He was low on money, lacked a job, and sucked at cooking. For him, this seemed like the most practical way to get food.

Brant bought his food, sat down and began eating, but then, his lunch had taken an unexpected twist. A woman sat down by the bench across from him, and then two engaged in conversation.

The woman had a visible ring on her finger, but Brant decided to flirt with her anyway. She wasn't overly pleased. Meanwhile, Corrine was returning home from the beach, just as the rain begun to pour. She came home as wet as a fish, took a bath and headed off to sleep.

THE WHITNEY HOUSEHOLD
DAY THREE

When the next day came, it was still raining. Corrine woke up as early as usual, and headed off to school. Brant woke up an hour later, fixed a broken sink, had breakfast and then headed off to town. He, for the first time in a long time, managed to get himself a job, and became a local Lifeguard. A gallant protector of the beaches.

he worked until the evening, which is when the beaches started clearing, and he was free to head on out. He walked to the local diner, used their phone and called Corrine, Inviting her to meet with him.

Corine arrived by bicycle around an hour later, and the two of them enjoyed a nice relaxing dinner.

They stayed for the main course, and even the dessert. When they were done, they left the building, hugged, and headed back home.

I've decided to discontinue this thread, but I will be making a let's play series on my twitch based around the same idea. Though only focusing one one of the households. All episodes will then be uploaded to my youtube channel.
