After not playing the game for a few weeks, but still adding store items, it caught my eye one day that everything in the Launcher had an icon of a box, instead of the actual item. It was acting like nothing was installed (except the venues) and attempting to launch the game confirmed this. If I installed something, it would look like it installed, but next time opening the Launcher it would be uninstalled again.
One site suggested it was a corrupted download, so I tried redownloading/reinstalling store items purchased after I last played the game, but no luck. I also tried deleting the contents of DCBackup and DCCache, but no luck. Decided to start over and re-downloaded all store content (though the "item count" in the Downloads folder hints that I missed one thing ... d'oh) and the icons are fixed. Reinstalled the worlds and venues to start - will consult ciane's thread before installing the rest.
Reflecting on the situation, it looks like there were multiple .ebt files that were over the magic number of 200MB. :/

I just completed best of 2012 yesterday with the grill and the greenhouse!! Wooo!!!!
When I purchased the greenhouse and first entered the complication, it is showed as 50% complete, but the green download button is there as expected, pheww
I also visited January 2012 and shocked me that I can't claimed it because it didn't consider I own more magic, but I change another device and it worked!!! I have that two kitchen set!
Now April 2012 complication is 582 simpoints, and I have added the kitchen set to my wishlist. Some of them is at night time(Quite bad.).

Congrats on completing the Best of 2012 and January 2012. Having the Grill makes the percent less helpful for my Greenhouse value estimation, but I might still be able to get something out of it.

I remember in an earlier version, I think TS2, my (ex)husband found a CC teleport pad that you placed on bottom and top of stairs and Sims would instantly move from the top to the bottom or bottom to top, eliminating precious game time for large builds. He was very fond of building large, fancy lots with lots of stairs.
I am pleasantly surprised to see such a surge in activity here! Since I moved, (almost a year ago!) I have been busy with other things and haven't even finished installing the game+content on my new system. But I continue to lurk this thread. I have such fond memories of the members of this particular thread and can't bring myself to stop checking in occasionally.
I am from the "free points with ads" generation. So I did not pay much out of pocket for my content and even gifted many points over time. It always makes me a little sad when someone says they are going to miss an item/set by a few points. Back in the day it was nothing for me to gift the items mentioned. Especially since I remember being gifted certain items when mentioning that, even with ads, I would not be able to afford something in time to enter a build contest.

For there to be two versions of an item with different patterns they would have to upload a new version with a new product ID. Since none of The Monarch Suite's items seem to have a new product ID I'm guessing they don't have new patterns. I wouldn't blame you though for waiting on the input of someone who actually owns the set and can check the actual items in-game (I only own 5/28 so far).

I also noticed that and there aren't any icons showing the new patterns, though i assume the screenshots give a preview. I'm at 30% CYS, so it's on the radar for the future after obtaining a few more items.

For there to be two versions of an item with different patterns they would have to upload a new version with a new product ID. Since none of The Monarch Suite's items seem to have a new product ID I'm guessing they don't have new patterns. I wouldn't blame you though for waiting on the input of someone who actually owns the set and can check the actual items in-game (I only own 5/28 so far).
@LauraBow and @SpiredMoth - I will install the set in a fresh game folder and let you know.
The Monarch Suite is a compilation of items from other sets, but says it comes with new patterns. Is there a way to confirm this?
@LauraBow - I looked at the feature set in my game and checked all of the 28 items. There are no new patterns that are added to the CAST pattern list (such as the new pattern that comes with the Popsicle Ceiling Light). The "new patterns" are that half the items have been recolored. Some such as the Starlight Satellite Chandelier are simple recolors. For others such as Penelope Bed, a different pattern from CAST has been applied and that pattern has been recolored. For the recolored items, the customized item appears as an additional option in buy mode. The original item has a store icon but the recolored item has a custom content icon.
If you use the CAST tool on a recolored item, the recolored pattern appears as a custom content pattern at the end of the specific category. You have the option to save the recolored pattern as a custom content pattern.

Ah, so usage of the word "pattern" is a bit of a misnomer. Thank you for checking this out on my behalf! I see in the video there's a premade lot that comes with all of the items inside ~ makes it easier to find everything. :)

One site suggested it was a corrupted download, so I tried redownloading/reinstalling store items purchased after I last played the game, but no luck. I also tried deleting the contents of DCBackup and DCCache, but no luck. Decided to start over and re-downloaded all store content (though the "item count" in the Downloads folder hints that I missed one thing ... d'oh) and the icons are fixed. Reinstalled the worlds and venues to start - will consult ciane's thread before installing the rest.
Reflecting on the situation, it looks like there were multiple .ebt files that were over the magic number of 200MB. :/

When I purchased the greenhouse and first entered the complication, it is showed as 50% complete, but the green download button is there as expected, pheww
I also visited January 2012 and shocked me that I can't claimed it because it didn't consider I own more magic, but I change another device and it worked!!! I have that two kitchen set!
Now April 2012 complication is 582 simpoints, and I have added the kitchen set to my wishlist. Some of them is at night time(Quite bad.).
Congrats on completing the Best of 2012 and January 2012. Having the Grill makes the percent less helpful for my Greenhouse value estimation, but I might still be able to get something out of it.
Meanwhile I'm anxiously waiting for Provence to come up in a couple weeks. My CYS on DD #152 should be only 5 SP, and finishing that set will make the rest of World Inspiration Collection free for me.

I remember in an earlier version, I think TS2, my (ex)husband found a CC teleport pad that you placed on bottom and top of stairs and Sims would instantly move from the top to the bottom or bottom to top, eliminating precious game time for large builds. For there to be two versions of an item with different patterns they would have to upload a new version with a new product ID. Since none of The Monarch Suite's items seem to have a new product ID I'm guessing they don't have new patterns. I wouldn't blame you though for waiting on the input of someone who actually owns the set and can check the actual items in-game (I only own 5/28 so far).

I also noticed that and there aren't any icons showing the new patterns, though i assume the screenshots give a preview. I'm at 30% CYS, so it's on the radar for the future after obtaining a few more items.

@LauraBow - I looked at the feature set in my game and checked all of the 28 items. There are no new patterns that are added to the CAST pattern list (such as the new pattern that comes with the Popsicle Ceiling Light). The "new patterns" are that half the items have been recolored. Some such as the Starlight Satellite Chandelier are simple recolors. For others such as Penelope Bed, a different pattern from CAST has been applied and that pattern has been recolored. For the recolored items, the customized item appears as an additional option in buy mode. The original item has a store icon but the recolored item has a custom content icon.
If you use the CAST tool on a recolored item, the recolored pattern appears as a custom content pattern at the end of the specific category. You have the option to save the recolored pattern as a custom content pattern.

Ah, so usage of the word "pattern" is a bit of a misnomer. Thank you for checking this out on my behalf! I see in the video there's a premade lot that comes with all of the items inside ~ makes it easier to find everything. :)
