@OJenn - looking good so far. I don't bother with terrain tools and putting in hills (one of the gen 5 houses is supposed to have the lower floor hidden by the ground but if I chose that one, I don't think I'll bother!) so if you attempted it, you're doing well even if it didn't work out!
All sorts of people are starting to populate Brindleton Bay again - including this unusual fellow...
Kit's daughter Michaela aged to teen and came over to visit.
Dove and Holly still enjoy spending time together whether it be working or 'playing'.
Cohen came over to visit again and helped Mabel with her homework. Nellie looks a little wistful that she doesn't have a boyfriend yet.
Mabel is getting to know the cats even though she'll be taking their offspring to the next house.
Miranda came over the next night and distracted Arthur from his homework

Brant, Lark's son and the oldest of the cousins, aged to young adult and came over to visit.
And finally it was time to Arthur and Nellie to age up as well! Arthur gained the Lactose Intolerant trait and will become a Scientist. Nellie gained the Glutton trait and will become a Gardener (Floral Designer).
Nellie moved out to San Myshuno, next door to Dove's cousin Xavier. Arthur invited Miranda around so she could celebrate her birthday too!
Arthur proposed to Miranda right there and then they eloped straight away! Note in the background of the third pic, Honey is not happy with what is going on Everyone else is just ignoring them
Arthur and Miranda moved out in the gen 2 house, and Lyric moved in with Lark in the gen 1 house. This freed up enough space for Honey and Fraser to finally have a kitten! Dove was so thrilled, she often walked around the house with Honey in her arms
Arthur came back to visit not long after and Mabel was happy to see him. But when Cohen arrived not long after, Mabel was even happier to see him, while Arthur seems to be thinking "I don't want to see this!"
Mabel has been getting some bad habits from her older brother!
"All is fine, Mum, we're not doing anything we're not supposed to..."
Ivy's oopsie baby, Daphne, aged into a child and seems to be taking after her mother.
I was going to leave it there but then I realised how close I was to the end of gen 3, so I've added a few more pics. Honey gave birth to a baby boy, Apollo (named for his association with medicine), who has carried on the tradition of having white fur. He seems to have Fraser's flat ears though.

And finally it was Mabel and Beatrice's young adult birthday! Mabel rolled Loner as her final trait and Beatrice rolled Unflirty. Both will become doctors.

Gen 3 is done!! Dove topped her career and finished four aspirations but didn't end up mastering the vet skill. Holly reached Level 8 Floral Designer and almost finished her Freelance Botanist aspiration, I just couldn't get enough plants evolved to perfect. All the kids were a reasonably good mix of genetics, which was good. I'll post the comparisons with their parents in the next post, along with a tour of the gen 4 house.
Comparisons of the siblings. I love them all and if Nellie hadn't inherited all her colours from Dove, I think she might have ended up as heir. Mabel and Beatrice are identical except for eyebrows - so close!
Gen 4 house! I used plan A and I think it turned out really well. I am so proud of how the outside looks, and most of the inside too!!
Ground floor - starting from bottom left hand side and going upwards: living room, entryway, pet area, nursery, master bedroom with ensuite, bathroom, stairs to next level, dining room, kitchen.
First floor - starting from the top: girls' bedroom, study area, bathroom, boys' bedroom.
Living room, kitchen, dining rooms (sorry for the darkness - I don't know why they turned out that way; I put a lot of effort into these rooms.)

Thank you! Now that gen 5 are children, the upstairs bedrooms have been done, mainly using DHD furniture. I’m really proud of myself for my decorating skills now. I’ve just done the gen 5 house - I did originally do one plan and I liked it but I couldn’t get a roof I liked and it ended up too modern, so I did the other build and loved it! I have also been on a cc download spree, finding decor for bathrooms, pantry and hallways, as well as some carpets and wall murals. I think I’ve spent hours decorating the house and decided I still need some more decor that can go on shelving, like in kids rooms. I may also need some laundry stuff because I always have to leave that room out because I don’t own the Laundry Day pack.
I’m aiming to get the Spa Day/Get Together/Movie Hangout pack while the discounts are on. There is still a couple of stuff packs that I might want - Backyard Stuff, Laundry Day - but I’ve got to wait for some more EP and GPs that I want to be released so I can bundle them 😆
I can finally say that I am mostly done with the exterior of the next house! My plan is to get back to playing so I can get things moving along and post some updates then decorate the interior once my heir has moved in. I've totally spent waaaay too much time on the house as it is

Rebuilding Brindleton Bay Gen 4.01
Firstly, an overview of how the town is looking.
Mabel and Cohen get settled into their new home.
They got some new animals to help fill the large house - a guinea pig and a little black kitten named Waffle
Apollo and Waffle hit it off straight away and loved doing the same activities.
Despite being a loner, Mabel always enjoyed catching up with family including her aunt Lark, second cousin Kailee (who was now a teen), and Kit's twins Sheldon and Audrey.
And she always had time to catch up with twin Beatrice.
And soon it wasn't long before Cohen decided to propose. Mabel, of course, said yes!
Sometimes cooking was a little difficult but Mabel was used to cats always being around.
Romance Festival! (tried to organise a wedding but none of the family wanted to show up so they had to wait)
And Mabel finally started her career as a doctor. It didn't got too badly, even when she had to treat Dove's cousin Xavier.
Mum Holly was there to greet her after her first day.

Quite a bit has happened since my last post, in both real life and in game. On the one hand I was able to play a lot more and managed to get quite far into the current generation. On the other hand, I don't have a ton of pictures so I will do my best to fill in the blanks!
Just when I thought Leo and Iza were only having one kid they surprised me and Iza turned out to be pregnant. I decided not to look just in case there were multiples but the suspense was absolutely killing me.
Leo was very thrilled to hear the news at least so that was a relief ♥
Their little guy Chadwick turned into quite the handsome little fellow while the family prepped for the new arrival
And poor Iza learned that she would need to take it easy during this pregnancy, not even yoga would be an option. It was rough
They eventually welcomed their daughter Kendall into the world (and this is when things took a turn). Soon after baby Kendall was born her grandparents both passed away within days of each other. Her parents aged up to elders and almost died too. I was so busy trying to play damage control that I forgot to get pictures of it all. Needless to say big brother Chadwick saved the day and the apartment.
Which then revealed I had my aging settings all wonky through MC Command center. It was a mess
After taking some time to fix my settings I came back to another round of age ups. By this point I just decided to go with it and now Kendall and her brother are young adults, their parents are elders.
I managed to turn off aging so I could slip everyone a few potions to reset their lifespans to hopefully correct my little oopsie! Hopefully its all resolved now lol. This weekend I plan to have a house tour and possibly a mini update for the kids.
@Ojenn - wow, you've had some problems with your game! I'm glad you sorted it out. Both Chadwick and Kendall look a lot like their mother; it'll be interesting to see how they turn out as YAs. Have you chosen an heir yet?

The wedding day arrived with plenty of rain It didn't deter all the guests though, including Lyric, who was happy to 'meet' her first great-grandchild.

And then it was time for chatting and food. Guests were parents Dove and Holly, siblings Arthur (wife Miranda wasn't in Mabel's friendship panel), Nellie and Beatrice, grandmother Lyric, great-aunt Ivy, aunt Lark, uncle Kit, and cousins Olivia, Kelley (who was pregnant with her third daughter, Adrienne), Kailee, Brant and Michaela.
Only a few hours after the wedding finished, Mabel went into labour.

Dove even autonomously came over that evening to see her first granddaughter!

The day after the wedding, Nellie, child-hating Beatrice and cousin Olivia all got pregnant! Beatrice's boyfriend is Hugh Paulson, her fiancee, Olivia's boyfriend is some random townie, and Nellie's boyfriend is Connor Zimmer, who is some relation of @OJenn's Hayden Zimmer that I added way back at the end of Gen 1! So there's going to be a few additions to the family tree in the coming week!
As it stands where I'm actually up to in the game, these are the statistics for each generation:
Gen 2: 3 (2 girls and 1 boy)
Gen 3: 8 (4 girls and 4 boys)
Gen 4: 19 (10 girls and 9 boys)
Gen 5: 8 (3 girls and 5 boys)
Pretty even split considering most of those are NPC families Keeping track is going to get harder as time goes on so I won't be posting all the pics of the cousins unless they're either first or second cousins, or maybe just posting their selfie with the heir as teens. Only one gen 4 cousin has had kids but two others are pregnant. It's not quite as big as my Star Wars save family tree though where I've had to delete two pregnancies because MCCC didn't recognise second cousins!!
@MayaRose1138 - Yeah it definitely took me a playthroughs to get things sorted but I think I'm all set now Mabel looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day even if the rain tried to come in and ruin it! It looked like it started to let up there towards the end maybe? I was totally expecting her to give birth at the ceremony or during the reception, good thing little Peyton was patient. What a cutie ♥ And yeah I wish MCCC recognized cousins past the 1st ones it starts to get strange if you don't recognize sims or keep up with them.

I had to time that wedding really well I do wish that more than 15 sims could be invited though - it's a bit hard choosing who to invite when the family keeps extending! Now I'm into gen 5, there's not too many 1st cousins, but plenty of second cousins and third cousins now, so I'm just waiting for the in-breeding to start happening

That dress is CC I found on TSR. I don't have as much clothing cc as I do in sims 3 but there are some cute things that suit teens/YAs that I've downloaded. Once I saw Mabel's face when she caught on fire, I just knew she had to be heir She can have the most wonderful expressions!
Thank you re the house. I thought it's turned out the best so far. I was going for a more cottage feel with this house, so a lot of brown but that pink/green tiling (I think it's the kitchen/bathrooms you're talking about) worked in nicely too and suited the colour scheme well.

Cats/kittens are fun! I'm a cat person in real life so to have them in the game is more common than having a dog. The doctor career is highly annoying because of losing work performance if you get a diagnosis wrong but Mabel is up to level 7 now and she will have to do some surgeries... if my game isn't glitched like I've heard some people talk about with that career.
Mabel and Cohen were risky woohooing and I was hoping that a pregnancy wouldn't kick in until after Mabel had done a few days at the hospital but no such luck

Apollo and Waffle finally aged up but they won't be having kittens yet until I know how many kids Mabel has to have to get a boy!

Mabel continues to run into family members at the hospital. This time, it's Xavier, Mabel's first cousin once removed. Xavier has just had his third son, Blaze.
There's always time for family catch-ups; Arthur occasionally likes popping in for a chat.
"Surprise, oh darling husband, I'm pregnant again!" I'm sure you can guess what his reaction was
Peyton aged into a silly toddler on the same day as Ivy (from Gen 2) passed away. She has Mabel's hair colour and Cohen's eye and skin colour, so a good mix.

Mabel finally managed to get to level 5 in her career!
And at the same time Mabel was pregnant, so were her sisters Nellie and Beatrice, and their cousin Olivia. So of course, they had to have a "Mother's Club" meeting The three others were all having boys, Mabel was the only one expecting a girl!
Telling Dove about her next grandchild seemed to go about as well as the first time
Mabel took Peyton out to Sulani to visit cousin Kelley and her third daughter, Adrienne.
And finally it was time for the second baby to be born!

@MayaRose1138 haha! I loved the first few pictures with Apollo peaking up over the bed (my cat does that too) and Waffle's new lookout post. Of course it's from atop the small animal cage! Peyton is a super cute little toddler. I like her look. I love her room's wallpaper! This update is definitely making me want to play again! That's super fun that all the girls are pregnant at the same time. Oh I can't wait to see if it's a boy or another girl!

@MayaRose1138 - Apollo is probably my favorite of the animals in the house currently even with his little intense gaze Peyton is definitely a cute, I agree she is good mix of her parents. Oh my gosh having pregnant sisters and a cousin is sort a win! They can all bond together at least. I think at this point no one is happy about the expecting, Cohen will be happier when the baby comes I'm sure of it ♥
Since I’ve been gone so long, I figured I owed all of you a recap on where we are in my story. This is going to help me as well!
Finley Emerson is the current heir. He was one of 3 boys – triplets of course.
In high school, he dated a girl named Piper Sollitto. He thought he was in love, but she was very hot and cold with him and then one day she just announced she was getting married to someone else.
She continued to call him after that, but he always ignored her calls. Marriage was a deal breaker.
Eventually he moved out to go to college. He opted to get a small apartment off campus that his Uncle David helped him get.
He spent a lot of his time in the mountains as his neighbors were very loud. One day he discovered who that neighbor was.
Just another reason to push for extreme sports goals. She was always calling, always knocking on the doors and even following him to the gym.
But then one day, his aunt Megan introduced him to Charlotte. They really hit it off and started spending a lot of time together.
One day, close to graduation, Charlotte had some unexpected news.
They went on a trip to his mountains, and he let her know she was the most important thing in his life.
He graduated, achieved his extreme sports goals and welcomed his own set of triplets into the world and of course, made that final step.
This is where we left off, but there was just one little problem. There was no way the triplets were going to fit into Finley’s apartment and Charlotte had a special wedding present for Finley. There’s another nooboo on the way. He didn’t want to give up his apartment, but he agreed that the kids needed more room and Charlotte’s home had more room.
Finley didn’t know what to do so he wrote to his Uncle David who had helped him get the apartment in the first place. He was hoping maybe David could help him, so he didn’t lose the apartment. He still wanted to make a difference in Evergreen Harbor, and it was close to his hospital! Of course, there was the issue of Piper living nearby and always calling him though and he told David that in his letter as well. David had finally moved back to Monte Vista, but when he received Finley’s letter, he made arrangements to return immediately.
When he was going up the elevator, he could hear people fighting. He recognized Piper’s voice. When the elevator opened they pretended nothing was going on. Piper was stunned to see David. He greeted her coldly and she pretended she had no idea who he was as she got in the elevator and left.
He went into the apartment to see just how bad it was. He was considering buying the apartment next door to expand into, or maybe he could go up another floor. Something here wasn’t right though and he was drawn to the apartment next door.
He knew Piper had had children and he had a sudden urge to see them for himself. The door was unlocked, and the two young children were home alone. David was able to win them over easily. He was annoyed by the condition of the apartment and both kids were starving. The boy looked a lot like his mother, but David felt there was no denying the girl belonged to Finley.
David waited for their parents to get home so he could confront Piper. Her husband was furious that he would suggest that his children didn’t belong to him.
David stated what he felt was obvious and sent Piper over the edge. Her husband was devastated.
Piper stuck to her story refusing to admit what David knew was the truth. Her husband though was beside himself.
Piper told David to get out of her house and to leave her family alone. He was so angry but he calmly agreed and told her they’d be neighbors soon as he was planning to sublet Finley’s apartment.
Meanwhile, Finley was obliviously beginning his career at the local hospital.
@Debjameswhite - I still think the triplets turned out so well, I really love their eyes the most. Boy was I happy when Finley met Charlotte she is like a breathe of fresh air compared to Piper. I think you are carrying the multiples curse so well this entire challenge OMG I didn't even realize that Piper had Finely's kiddo. Oh dear. I feel bad for Piper's poor husband he seems like a nice guy. I wonder how Finley is going to take the news?
@OJenn What generation are you on? I'm excited to get back to a HUGE lot! The apartments are killing me! The house is looking good though. I can't wait for the house tour!
Yes 😊. I have been following the threads with interest to see what exactly is involved. At the moment, there’s a good number of lots (enough to make Tartosa a 5-gen world for this challenge!), 5 different wedding venues, and more things you can do at a wedding! Still no attraction system though, apparently 😒. I can see that maybe coming in as a base game update in the future though.
My gen 5 heir is a teen who has just met their future spouse, so I guess I know who the first wedding will involve when I eventually get the pack! I’m not going to buy it straight away (the only pack I’ve paid full price for was Cottage Living) but I’ll wait and see how other players are finding it when it’s released. I may end up getting it without waiting for a sale!
@Ojenn - the house is looking good! It looks like you’ll have plenty of room in for the next generation!

Gen 3 is done!! Dove topped her career and finished four aspirations but didn't end up mastering the vet skill. Holly reached Level 8 Floral Designer and almost finished her Freelance Botanist aspiration, I just couldn't get enough plants evolved to perfect. All the kids were a reasonably good mix of genetics, which was good. I'll post the comparisons with their parents in the next post, along with a tour of the gen 4 house.

Thank you! Now that gen 5 are children, the upstairs bedrooms have been done, mainly using DHD furniture. I’m really proud of myself for my decorating skills now. I’ve just done the gen 5 house - I did originally do one plan and I liked it but I couldn’t get a roof I liked and it ended up too modern, so I did the other build and loved it! I have also been on a cc download spree, finding decor for bathrooms, pantry and hallways, as well as some carpets and wall murals. I think I’ve spent hours decorating the house and decided I still need some more decor that can go on shelving, like in kids rooms. I may also need some laundry stuff because I always have to leave that room out because I don’t own the Laundry Day pack.
I’m aiming to get the Spa Day/Get Together/Movie Hangout pack while the discounts are on. There is still a couple of stuff packs that I might want - Backyard Stuff, Laundry Day - but I’ve got to wait for some more EP and GPs that I want to be released so I can bundle them 😆

Just when I thought Leo and Iza were only having one kid they surprised me and Iza turned out to be pregnant. I decided not to look just in case there were multiples but the suspense was absolutely killing me.
Leo was very thrilled to hear the news at least so that was a relief ♥
Their little guy Chadwick turned into quite the handsome little fellow while the family prepped for the new arrival
And poor Iza learned that she would need to take it easy during this pregnancy, not even yoga would be an option. It was rough
They eventually welcomed their daughter Kendall into the world (and this is when things took a turn). Soon after baby Kendall was born her grandparents both passed away within days of each other. Her parents aged up to elders and almost died too. I was so busy trying to play damage control that I forgot to get pictures of it all. Needless to say big brother Chadwick saved the day and the apartment.
Which then revealed I had my aging settings all wonky through MC Command center. It was a mess
After taking some time to fix my settings I came back to another round of age ups. By this point I just decided to go with it and now Kendall and her brother are young adults, their parents are elders.
I managed to turn off aging so I could slip everyone a few potions to reset their lifespans to hopefully correct my little oopsie! Hopefully its all resolved now lol. This weekend I plan to have a house tour and possibly a mini update for the kids.

The day after the wedding, Nellie, child-hating Beatrice and cousin Olivia all got pregnant! Beatrice's boyfriend is Hugh Paulson, her fiancee, Olivia's boyfriend is some random townie, and Nellie's boyfriend is Connor Zimmer, who is some relation of @OJenn's Hayden Zimmer that I added way back at the end of Gen 1! So there's going to be a few additions to the family tree in the coming week!
As it stands where I'm actually up to in the game, these are the statistics for each generation:
Gen 2: 3 (2 girls and 1 boy)
Gen 3: 8 (4 girls and 4 boys)
Gen 4: 19 (10 girls and 9 boys)
Gen 5: 8 (3 girls and 5 boys)
Pretty even split considering most of those are NPC families

Oh gosh the bowling pictures were great! Mabel looked so cute in that dress. I love it. OH! I see Mabel was chosen as heir in the most fitting manner! Excellent decision!! It looks like they had a good time on their vacation. OMG cross stitch?! It's so cute!! I really hate it when so many members of the family all die so closely together. It's hard to avoid though.
Awww the proposal was sweet and final family photo made me feel a little sad! OH haha I thought Arthur had proposed to Miranda just before they got in the shower. Ooops! The actual proposal was sweeter
Waffle is so cute! I love seeing the two kittens together. I have not gotten one of those small pets yet. I really should at least once. I was happy to see Cohen propose and a little bit of her doctor career. I think my current sim is going to be a doctor too...but I can't even remember his name right now!

@OJenn How many times have I updated townies? Man I wish I could figure out MCC Command center enough for it to keep them inline. I have a feeling it could but I just don't have the inclination to want to figure it out! At least we know we're not alone in the desire for our townies to look good. Oooo! Iza Price. I love her! I had to time that wedding really well
I am so going to run out of room for the family photos! I think there's around 30 now, and if I keep this going to gen 10, there'll be well over 100 most likely!! I felt so bad for Nellie and not getting her a romance but she's fine now, living the high life in San Myshuno
That dress is CC I found on TSR. I don't have as much clothing cc as I do in sims 3 but there are some cute things that suit teens/YAs that I've downloaded. Once I saw Mabel's face when she caught on fire, I just knew she had to be heir
Thank you re the house. I thought it's turned out the best so far. I was going for a more cottage feel with this house, so a lot of brown but that pink/green tiling (I think it's the kitchen/bathrooms you're talking about) worked in nicely too and suited the colour scheme well.
Cats/kittens are fun! I'm a cat person in real life so to have them in the game is more common than having a dog. The doctor career is highly annoying because of losing work performance if you get a diagnosis wrong but Mabel is up to level 7 now and she will have to do some surgeries... if my game isn't glitched like I've heard some people talk about with that career.
Mabel and Cohen were risky woohooing and I was hoping that a pregnancy wouldn't kick in until after Mabel had done a few days at the hospital but no such luck

Chapter 38: A Recap
Since I’ve been gone so long, I figured I owed all of you a recap on where we are in my story. This is going to help me as well!
Finley Emerson is the current heir. He was one of 3 boys – triplets of course.
In high school, he dated a girl named Piper Sollitto. He thought he was in love, but she was very hot and cold with him and then one day she just announced she was getting married to someone else.
She continued to call him after that, but he always ignored her calls. Marriage was a deal breaker.
Eventually he moved out to go to college. He opted to get a small apartment off campus that his Uncle David helped him get.
He spent a lot of his time in the mountains as his neighbors were very loud. One day he discovered who that neighbor was.
Just another reason to push for extreme sports goals. She was always calling, always knocking on the doors and even following him to the gym.
But then one day, his aunt Megan introduced him to Charlotte. They really hit it off and started spending a lot of time together.
One day, close to graduation, Charlotte had some unexpected news.
They went on a trip to his mountains, and he let her know she was the most important thing in his life.
He graduated, achieved his extreme sports goals and welcomed his own set of triplets into the world and of course, made that final step.
This is where we left off, but there was just one little problem. There was no way the triplets were going to fit into Finley’s apartment and Charlotte had a special wedding present for Finley. There’s another nooboo on the way. He didn’t want to give up his apartment, but he agreed that the kids needed more room and Charlotte’s home had more room.
Finley didn’t know what to do so he wrote to his Uncle David who had helped him get the apartment in the first place. He was hoping maybe David could help him, so he didn’t lose the apartment. He still wanted to make a difference in Evergreen Harbor, and it was close to his hospital! Of course, there was the issue of Piper living nearby and always calling him though and he told David that in his letter as well. David had finally moved back to Monte Vista, but when he received Finley’s letter, he made arrangements to return immediately.
When he was going up the elevator, he could hear people fighting. He recognized Piper’s voice. When the elevator opened they pretended nothing was going on. Piper was stunned to see David. He greeted her coldly and she pretended she had no idea who he was as she got in the elevator and left.
He went into the apartment to see just how bad it was. He was considering buying the apartment next door to expand into, or maybe he could go up another floor. Something here wasn’t right though and he was drawn to the apartment next door.
He knew Piper had had children and he had a sudden urge to see them for himself. The door was unlocked, and the two young children were home alone. David was able to win them over easily. He was annoyed by the condition of the apartment and both kids were starving. The boy looked a lot like his mother, but David felt there was no denying the girl belonged to Finley.
David waited for their parents to get home so he could confront Piper. Her husband was furious that he would suggest that his children didn’t belong to him.
David stated what he felt was obvious and sent Piper over the edge. Her husband was devastated.
Piper stuck to her story refusing to admit what David knew was the truth. Her husband though was beside himself.
Piper told David to get out of her house and to leave her family alone. He was so angry but he calmly agreed and told her they’d be neighbors soon as he was planning to sublet Finley’s apartment.
Meanwhile, Finley was obliviously beginning his career at the local hospital.

Yes 😊. I have been following the threads with interest to see what exactly is involved. At the moment, there’s a good number of lots (enough to make Tartosa a 5-gen world for this challenge!), 5 different wedding venues, and more things you can do at a wedding! Still no attraction system though, apparently 😒. I can see that maybe coming in as a base game update in the future though.
My gen 5 heir is a teen who has just met their future spouse, so I guess I know who the first wedding will involve when I eventually get the pack! I’m not going to buy it straight away (the only pack I’ve paid full price for was Cottage Living) but I’ll wait and see how other players are finding it when it’s released. I may end up getting it without waiting for a sale!
@Ojenn - the house is looking good! It looks like you’ll have plenty of room in for the next generation!
@debjameswhite - wow, another set of triplets! Are they all boys too? Living in an apartment must be so crowded!! And Piper had a child with Finley and didn’t tell him - how rude! I wonder if the daughter will end up living with Finley too? 🤣
