May We Please Have a Way to Bypass CAS?

I love CAS, but when I wish to start a new save strictly to build, I really hate having to go through CAS. It would be very useful, if we could simply toggle something to allow us to bypass the CAS process to make a meaningless, never-to-be-played Sim just to get into the world of choice to build.

Thank you very much for considering this and for your very kind attention.

I am pretty sure you don't need to create a sim just to start building. When you click on a lot there is an option to visit for building.

I usually just add a sim from the gallery in that case, that goes pretty fast.

In a brand new save, I have always had to create a sim before I could ever get to the neighborhood screen to actually build. If there's some work around to actually getting to the neighborhood screen and bypass CAS that would be awesome!

Now if I'm playing an existing save, I can get to the neighborhood screen because it will load the last played family's world.

But sometimes I want to build when I"m bored, and my saves already have houses or venues on all of the lots so I have to start a new save to build, and I always have to create a Sim first.

Could be you are right. I haven't started a new save in years. When I feel like building I just demolish something and save lot to the library. Not all the builds I build fit properly within my neighbourhoods, and many of my builds go through changes. I also like to have a sim on the lot to test stuff.

Not when you need to start a new save in order to build on the lot of choice. I made a decision to give my Rock Star a new house, but I wanted him to stay on the lot he's currently living on. 2 Olde Mill Lane in HoB. Every time I move him to a new town, the Starlight Accolades goes buggy on me. So, I had to start a new save to get to that specific lot and build a new place. I've done that twice, now, because I wasn't totally satisfied with the first replacement build. I much prefer the second one I just finished this morning. But, it was a pain in the patoot just to get started. I suppose I could have used the first 'new' save but for some strange reason I decided not to. But the fact still remains that we have to go through CAS to build on a lot that is otherwise 'taken' in the existing save.

It's annoying, and I hate it. I don't want to create a sim, I want to play the premades! Or build, or whatever. Seriously, just make it go away,

And while we are at it, can we also get an option to opt out of getting our newly created households saved into our library? For safety reasons the default should be to save the household, of course, but there could be a checkbox that we can uncheck if we don't want that.

I have a "Townie starter kit" household that I use everytime I start a new save, and every single time the game places a new copy of the bunch into my library.

That sounds complicated. I just build on whatever lot is free (or I can free up), as long as it's big enough for my needs. Once I save it to library, it can be placed on any other lot.

This reminds me to do some Spring Cleaning and clear out all of those unnecessary copies of the exact same family/Sim! (Making sure, of course, that I don't accidentally delete those whose skills are still in place, that is.) Oi, it gets full fast, doesn't it?

YES PLEASE!!! I hate that it defaults to saving a copy to the library, because again, I can't build without a sim to actually get into the world, so I have to create a sim, that I'm not ever going to play with.

We're not talking about getting rid of CAS - we want to bypass it when we make a new save so that we don't have to create useless sims just so we can play with the premades or whatever.

I love this new CAS, I would never ever want to remove it. But there are times when I need a new save to build on a lot that is otherwise occupied. Building takes time, at least for me, because I'm rather fussy, and wasting time creating a place-holder Sim is annoying.

I LOVE this new CAS it's so much better than we've had before. I am not advocating to remove it at all. I just would like an option to bypass it when I need to start a new save to be able to build on a lot that is otherwise occupied in the save I'm playing. Point in case. My celebrity Sim suffered a break-in from his Obsessed Fans and felt threatened when they left their customary tiered cake and a plate of Ambrosia in his eldest child's room, the boy was still a Toddler. I didn't wish to destroy the lot to start again, but I needed the very same size lot to make sure what I was going to build would fit and he could keep his Chicken Coop, his garden and his swimming pool. And his Toddler children's gym.

Since all the lots appear to be occupied in this months' old save already, my option was to start a new save, which I intend to make my "Build Save'. Building for me anyway, takes some time. I am a bit of a perfectionist and it was my idea to build the new lot and then go back and do the floor and wall treatments. It took the rest of the afternoon, plus a couple of more hours the next day. While I liked how it turned out in looks, it proved a bit unplayable. I use the Sims3 cameral and I was getting the bouncy, bouncy, bouncy thing going on, ad nauseum. (Would that there was a way to fix or at least prevent this.) At any rate, I was so unhappy with it, I decided to build another lot entirely.) Going through CAS even just randomizing the Sim, Traits, name, et al, then placing them somewhere and saving it, takes up precious build time. I was anxious to get back to my main save. My Global Superstar Rock Star was up for yet another Starlight Accolade. All those moments in CAS was wasted time for me.

I just want a way to build, especially under the above circumstances, without having to waste those few minutes getting to the neighborhood I wanted and get right to building.

Agree. Load times are long and a sim gets in the time.
