Installing Mods?

Ok, I'm so happy that I think I finally found the list of mods I'd like to install into my game. Having never done this before though I don't know how to go about doing it. It's too late to figure it out right now for me, but how do I go about installing them?

I think the easiest way to get the hang of it is to read a tutorial about how to install mods and cc, like this one here: https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/tutorials/mods-cc.php

There is also a lot of youtube videos if you find that easier, just search for "install mods sims 4" and you will see tons of videos about the topic.

I also highly recommend organizing your mods folder so it will be easier to find and update your mods when needed. You'll find a good thread about this here: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/925775/organizing-your-cc

I hope my answer was helpful!

One way is to check on the page where you would download the mod from. Oftentimes, the creator of the mod will say how to install it. Mostly, it's pretty easy and I'm no techie by a long shot.
You can download (free) all three volumes of my Night Whispers Star Trek Fanfiction here: http://galacticgal.deviantart.com/gallery/ You'll need to have a pdf reader. New websites: http://www.trekkiefanfiction.com/st-tos.php

Are you using a PC or Mac?

For Mac, put the downloaded file in /Users/<your user name>/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods

Then enter into the game, game options -> other -> enable custom content & mod -> view custom content (might need restart the game)
