if we do get a Romance Pack I would love more places to go on dates like the movies or an AMUSEMENT PARK or an ARCADE
I'd love to see those things, too,as well as multi-purpose community lots. Also,I'm hoping that if there is a new world that EA/Maxis won't plunk ANOTHER boring bar or dull library into the new world. I've gotten so sick and tired of seeing libraries, gyms and bars being plunked into every new world that's created for Sims 4.
I wonder why we never got any EA pool lot after Get Together.
I think Amusement Park and Arcade a clearly outside the range for this Pack. Maybe we'll get them with a later pack? (Pool tables anyone?)
well if they should add venue for romance/wedding pack
i think we should have "wedding/party hall"
no religious connotation but just having venue where random uninvited sims won't interrupt your wedding and your guests are on suitable behavior would be useful
and/or of course: Ballroom/Dance Hall
somewhere sims shall all twirl in peace with the (hopefully included) couple dancing skill
i would really also like lot trait or something to disable random people interrupting my sims on their date tho
nothing spoils the mood like billie jang tryna chat u up while ur trying to get your sims some... quality time...
speaking of which maybe no kids allowed would be... useful.
I would say hotels but id rather they do it in another pack cause im afraid it would eat too much of the pack to really get romance done properly
After seeing the Korean Wedding clothes released today, it seems more likely to be just a Wedding Planner Pack. Maybe a Wedding Planning around the world pack? Doesn't really interest me.
While I'd love a fully fleshed out Romance pack, prospects aren't looking too good! Bummer
So I was actually kind of onto something with my presumption.
My must have features for the new Gamepack are:
slow dance
in-law relationship bits (preferably also in-law to be relbits)
faithful and unfaithful preferences (or traits)
table proposal (and holding hands)
cuddling in and on bed
photo booth and new photo poses
functional bear rug and picnic blanket (from TS1)
What are yours?
The bed stuff would probably come in a free update since we got relax in bed in an update.
My personal wishlist:
Slow dancing definitely!
In laws and asking for permission.
Conflict if marrying when the in-laws deny.
Dad walking bride down aisle
Veils
LOTS of wedding dresses
Able to hold flowers while getting married
New ways of proposing
New marriage animations because the one now is just plain with a bunch of recycled animations.
Step children
A lot of fancy hairstyles. Would like some with jewels and flower intertwined in them.
Able to choose people for roles in the wedding, such as bride maids and such.
New casual romantic interactions in general.
Woohoo spots
I bet the Woohoo Spot will be Photobooths. I have a feeling those will be returning to this pack.
Huh. Maybe I just don't get it, but I really can't understand the hype about the return of these things. In my eyes they are just tacky as they can be. 😅
Back in the day I played Sims 2 and even then I never ever used this mouth shaped couch... The only place I could imagine this couch would be in the living room of a successful Joey Tribbiani - based on his style in friends - with the giant plastic white dog and the colourful parrot statue beside both ends. 🤣
I really really would like being able to watch my Sims dance together as a couple on their wedding day and other romantic occasions. 🥰 Cuddling in bed and real picknicks on the grass would be cute too.

I feel the same way. The only object out of this list that I like is the fireplace. The bed is so stuck in 2000, and that couch is awful.

It would be good if they integrated lot types into the lot traits system.

Tbh thats the part of charm of these things
it reminds people of times when tacky=hot and also like ts2 where furniture was just meant to be fun rather than peak interior design
+ id love to put these in lotharios house cause its not looking silly enough without them
tbh if we must have random furniture unrelated to weddings i wouldn't mind some 90s - early 2000 furniture like those horrifying inflatable chairs every kid had
sure unrelated to romance but im so tired of random boring modern furniture that is related to nothing
oh well maybe for generations style pack they could do some silly decades furniture

Totally agree. Really want to see them step entirely out of the box! Not everything has to make sense😂😂

Honeymoon suites.
Superman 3 or 4 that Christopher Reeves starred in had a a Honeymoon Suite with the heart fireplace and heartbed.
Clark Kent and Lois Lane stayed in the suite together as they were on assignment. That fireplace had a string you pulled for the flames.
Oh, wow! I didn’t know Sims 3 had this stuff! 😲 Love the bed and fireplace! (I only knew about some heart stuff from Sims 1.)
Heartbed came with the Hifi SP. It was part of the 10th Anniversary of the Sims.
Fireplace and Lip Sofas came from TS3 Store. Lip sofas came with the Vegas Pack but the store pulled that one down really quick so you had to download them quick.
I loved the heart shaped hot tub from TS1, it had a rustic look to it. The tubs from the other games look too industrial and high tech. Would be lovely to get another tub that is not so modern looking, think it would fit nicely with outdoor retreat.
In laws and asking for permission.
Conflict if marrying when the in-laws deny.
I hate this so much.
That would interfere with game play for me. I'm sick of having to work to get everything. By the time I get stuff ready I have lost interest. I don't really want those.

I wouldn't get my hopes up.
After the weird pack(Star Wars, Strangerville), the last several kits I haven't bought, tied down farm animals, no underwater for mermaids, no boat houses, no nice selection of coffins, no crystal ball, no hammock, no moving people pictures, no riders for toddlers, lack of toys, babies not freed, no cemeteries, not much goth stuff, lack of Grim stuff, and if gyms are important enough for every world, why not new gym equipment (stationary bikes, steppers, chin up bar, skier machine, mini trampoline, hand weights, string door knob thing, and those machines you sit on and pull up to almost standing. They could add some new video game machines, a pool bar for the pool outside and other pool stuff from Sims 3, and a machine people put simpleton in to try to win a toy( all new toys). No new living room/kitchen junk for a gym pack; packs don't stay on subject.
I will say at least it's something I am interested in. Aside from the no real farm animals and objects from the knitting pack, I haven't seen anything I have been really excited about in years.
I'm not gonna let myself down before I know what's in the pack - most certainly not by a free content delivery that cannot possibly reveal what will be included in the Gamepack.
Now now EA, don't be stinking up our lovely lavender bath with your shopping fart. - My TS4 mods - Gallery ID: 83bienchen
I mean, I personally would totally be good for a wedding pack, but since it’s a game pack, I would assume there is still some kind of system involved. (Otherwise, why wouldn’t they just do a stuff pack, or divide the wedding further into kits?)

Yeah I agree, lil simsie posted a video on her channel and she said she is keeping her expectations low for a romance pack as the clues hint rather towards a wedding pack. She said they specifically mentioned the word "party" in the road map and there hints are sometimes very literal.
If it is more of a wedding pack then I hope they integrate proper wedding systems. Like a ceremony setup that lets you choose the chairs and setup and then forces the guests to sit down and same for the reception, tables and chairs with selectable style and forces guests to sit. They could also use the Seasons tradition systems to provide choices like speeches or breaking plates etc and include different cultures. This would most likely come with a honeymoon option as well.
As for romance I think they would have to at least provide slow dancing and online dating to the game, it is 2022 after all and the sims 4 has been around for years now. The other thing which it seems they have been working towards is an attraction system using the likes and dislikes system. Although, due to a lot of unhappiness, they are currently also focusing on releasing new items etc to the base game and upgrading existing packs so these items might come as a base game update.
The other thing they could add is a career. I feel like after Dream Home Decorator they were probably planning a similar pack and this pack may have even been originally geared towards a wedding planner career but after the complaints the DHD added very little game play outside of the career, they hopefully have decided to focus it on the wedding event and not the career. I much like a lot of people would prefer if it focused on romance instead.
A plus could be that due to many complaints, Cottage Living actually provided a fair amount of new game play and items so maybe we could get hotels as well but I am starting to think it is unlikely as it is game pack. Unless they are released to the base game.

I also want the return of either/both:
The Sims heartshaped hot tub
The Sims 2 love tub
