I almost sprayed my coffee on the screen! I've never heard any of my Sims say Boola, boola, boola with that interaction. I have seen a similar glitch with the hands though and the older Sim acting as if the tot is on their back. This was hysterical. Thanks for my morning chuckle.
Did you zoom the camera in too close? I find that the objects such as a table or whatnot disappears when I pull the camera in too close. Now, if that isn't the case, then I'd certainly call it a glitch. Yikes.

Oh, I'd love a way to turn that off! The pillars in particular. I can't count how many times I was struggling with understanding why I can't place a picture or mirror on a wall, only to see that there's a pillar there after I zoom the camera out more. >.<

I had a broken pose (mod) which I had to remove yesterday that was causing ALL of the hugging in my game to glitch out, but this is even freakier than what I was seeing.

It may not be a pose mod, it could be any mod. Other than the 50/50 way to find the culprit, can't be much help here.
(Remove half your mods and CC, then restart the game. If the glitch is gone, it's one of the ones you remove, if not, then it's one that is still there. So remove half of what's left until the glitch is gone.
Whatever 'group' of mods has the glitched mod/CC in it, you may have to do the 50/50 method to find and eliminate the culprit.
