this is what worked for me
1. Launch Origin on your computer.
o If prompted, log in using your EA Account information.
o If you have not purchased the pack you want yet, you can buy it on Origin.
2. Go to the My Game Library tab.
3. Right-click on The Sims 4 base game image and click Show Game Details.
4. Click on the More menu to access the dropdown list of extra content.
5. Click the Expansion Packs, Game Packs, or Stuff Packs tab depending on what pack you purchased.
o Note: You can also buy packs under Show Game Details.
6. Select the pack you need to install from the list and click Download.
7. After the installation is complete, click The Sims 4 and then Play to launch the game. The pack content will now be available within The Sims 4.
