How do I build a vet clinic?

I'm trying to build a clinic, but I can't find a proper lot type for it. I looked at the pre-made one in Brindleton Bay and it is set as a vet clinic lot, but when try to build one on a different lot, the drop down menu of lot types doesn't contain the vet clinic.

What's up with that?

So I can't change a lot to vet clinic, but I saved the pre-made lot to my library, placed it, and I can bulldoze the vet clinic and the lot type stays vet clinic. Now I can build a new one.

That is silly.

I have vet clinic show up in my drop down panel for venue types.

i got mine from going to the buy retail tab on the sims ui section. and i picked buy a vet clinic from that.

Do you have mods? You shouldn't be having this problem. I can always change my lots anytime I want as long as my sims are not on that lot.

Do you use Get To College or Go To School? Because that overrides the venue list and should be updated.

Thanks for all these suggestions. I don't use those mods, so that's not it. I should disable all my mods and try again. But first I should go to work.

I disabled my mods folder and the venue showed up. I think I did use Get to College a while ago, but I thought I removed it. Once I find it, I'm sure that'll fix the problem.

I know it's a while since the original post, but I found a way to do it.
I built the home/vet clinic that I wanted, then created the household of one. I moved the household into an empty lot across the street from the newly built home/clinic. I then went into Live Mode and chose to buy a vet clinic from the retail tab. When I got to the map to choose a lot, I chose the new home/clinic.
