I've seen people asking for sims 4 on the nintendo switch so I at least know there is demand for sims 4 to come to a handheld device. With the steam deck coming next year I've seen some game developers posting their game on the steam deck. I wonder if the sims team will do the same?
I am super excited for the deck because you can also connect it to a TV and play games on it like how you would play console games. The advantage is that you can have mods and you wouldn't need to repurchase all the dlc. I have also seen online that it's possible to get games from origin on there so it should work if you have the game on origin and not steam.
I wonder if the sims team got a dev kit for the steam deck and if they will confirm the compatibility.
I'm not sure how Valve will do it but Steam Deck use SteamOS Linux, a lot of games aren't compatible with this system.
I've read that all games should be playable on the deck. And most will be fully compatible. Then there's some that are not compatible but is still "playable".

Steam Deck use Proton to run Windows games.
