Fine snow, the kind with individual snowflakes where you can see the 6-pointed shapes, falling fast, building up steadily into the light fluffy kind of snow you can blow instead of shovel.
A typical weather in December here is warm during the late morning, hot during the afternoon. Then it begins to cool down in the late afternoon and early evening, and then becomes cold at midnight and early morning.
If it's summer (March to May), it's hot all day, even at night so it's hard to sleep without the A/C on.
It's a nice toasty -22c right now! It was hovering around -35 to -40 for a few days so this is welcome relief! I mean I wish it would warm up now to the -7 and -2 we're supposed to see on the weekend but maybe I can ditch a layer and be able to move my limbs when I'm outside.
This is the season where "I hate Alberta! I'm moving somewhere tropical!" comes up way more often than normal.
unusually warm for this time of year: a few degrees above freezing, with fog and drizzle slowly melting the snow. It's going to be a glassy mess once it refreezes.
It can be cold, or hot, or hotter, then wet, or wetter. It never snows any month of the year. I had hay fever and am just recovering; I still have an itchy throat.

Let's just say B.C. has had a rough time of it this year.
...and on top of that...well...the pandemic's still going.
I know...the year cannot get any worse.

In this weather I sleep in wool longjohns and under a wool blanket and it makes a big difference.
