I hate the autonomous 'troll teh forums' too! I use MCCC to block it. If your sims age up with high conflict resolution, they'll get the Mediator trait and then they can 'mediate the forums'... also autonomous. I guess it's better than trolling.

The fact that sims won't sit tf still, they always have to be in a room with one another. It infuriates me to see sims walk halfway across their house just to sit on the bed or a chair in the room that another household member is in just to eat their lunch or drink a glass of water. Or the fact that they refuse to sit at the dining table, but insist on sitting in the lounge room three rooms away because the cat or dog is asleep on the couch.

Edit: A minor one, but when they decide to light fires in the middle of summer, in a heatwave. Mind over matter in that one I suppose. >.>

Set the table and they will sit there.

I'm not good in CAS. So by the time I'm ready to play my sim has aged quite a bit.

I haven't had a chance to read all of the pages here so I apologize if this has been mentioned before.

Something that annoys me is how social topics are arranged in the Friendly category. Most of the topics that appear first are negative. Trying to start a decent conversation with someone my Sim just met, I have to scroll past various types of complaints about things like the weather, the holiday, a movie they just watched, or the food a Sim just ate. They can even complain or debate about Vampires before they can opt to enthuse ing about Vampires.

So, your Sim finally manages to rack up enough positive social points to ask a Sim on a date. One of the goals of that date will probably be to have a "Deep Conversation" with your date. Will that option be on the first page? Nope. The second page? Nope. Good luck scrolling to the last page fast enough to find it before your date wanders off and your Sim has to chase them down to have said conversation near a bathroom or while they're chatting with Sims seated at another table. (SOS - Dine Out needs help.)

Didn't we get a pack called Parenthood? Didn't it seem to encourage the importance of children growing up to be responsible Sims with good manners? I thought it did but maybe it didn't. Maybe that's why complaining about things are the first topics in the Friendly category. Maybe kids and teens should have the option to grow up and become weirdoes so they can dress up like raccoons and luchadors and wear their clothes backwards. (Or is this considered high fashion now?) Best of all, when they become weirdoes Maxis will give them some of the highest skills in the game and they never even had to go to school.

I pause game, Q up and start again.

Um... is there any option for switching the white screen background in here ? That is annoying to me ! The header can be changed from white to green, which is pointless imho.... so if the main screen had a similar option like a dark theme that would be great to allow me to be here more than 15 minutes at a time lol unless there is already one that i didnt find !

Good to know! I'll fix that when I load up again :)

That you can’t complete the music aspiration task of mentoring with the DJ booth but can do everything else. Also that you can’t license more than one song per week.

CAS items that aren’t tagged for certain categories even though it feels like they should be. I know I can untick the filters but it’s annoying that I even have to do that. It doesn’t make sense that a random pair of earrings isn’t tagged for hot weather or certain pairs of pants that seem like they would be fine to wear in cold weather aren’t tagged for it.

Not always in my experience, I can and have set the table, but sims will still march across the house to sit in the bedroom because their household member is using the computer or practising an instrument.

Same. Sims still stand around the fridge eating or head across the lot to some random place to stand eating.

There seem to be a problem where Distance, not Time trigger these things ( eating in the bedroom, washing dishes in the sink in the bathroom etc).

It was very noticeable in a house I built where there was a very very comfy bed directly over the fridge (on the second floor).
It took LONGER for the Sims to walk up the stairs than to the dinner table, but measured in feet / squares / whatever it was a little bit shorter, so the higher Comfort level on the bed "won out" over the dinner table and they always marched upstairs to eat.

    • Sims constantly rubbing their temples like they have a headache at random times.
    • Looking sideways while playing video games, chatting, dancing, etc.
    • When I cancel chat topics in my Sims queue, but they don't cancel and do them anyway.
    • The need to delete between 20-50 game generated townies before every single play session.
    • Just like the cake is a lie, so is the 'no autonomy' option.
    • Camera bounce near/in tall buildings or trees/hills, etc.
    • Stair railings visible through walls.
    • Curtains snapping to windows and/or above or to the side when using a curtain intended for a taller and/or wider window. I know I can place curtains first without a window, then the window, but it's fiddly and extremely annoying!
    • Object swatches intended as a set not available in matching colors. For example; counters/cabinets and furniture wood grains.
    • Sims lips don't touch when kissing!
    • No conversation available when Sims are relaxing watching TV in bed or on lounge chairs.
    • No option to bulldoze buildings in Manage Worlds.
    • No option to change lighting in build mode.
    • The color/lighting of my Sims when viewed in a mirror.
    • Last but certainly not least, gardening is still nerfed! Plants revert to dirt piles randomly for no reason at all! This has been bugged since the gardening free patch update before the Eco Living EP was released in June 2020. Supposedly fixed in the June 29, 2021 patch 1.76.81, but it's still happening!
I think that's enough, for now...

*Note - Anything I've mentioned that has been reported as an actual bug at EA Answers HQ, I have clicked on 'Me Too.' I have many other things that annoy me, but have found Mods to correct them. I was a advocate for and played a completely vanilla game for over 6 years until certain bugs just became too annoying and I went to the dark side. I'm never looking back now...

    Happy Simming anyway! <3

Lightening trying to destroy my penthouse! Took me a while to realize why one of my dozen or so outside lamps was all black, then had to teleport my sim onto the roof to clean up some burnt spots there (a ladder up to the roof, that could be fun, but anyways). And the poor potted plants reduced to ash piles! What did they do to you?!

Well, I finally updated my game today. I went offline just before Cottage Living landed.

Well, what is with the tea maker? All my sims do is make and drink tea. Now, I am a life long tea lover and always liked the teamaker in the game. It would sit there quietly in the kitchen and I could send a sim for a cuppa to get a nice controlled moodlet - black tea being a favourite (in real life as well).

Now they just go at it with no regard and a roomful of sims will have a complete fruit salad of moodlets built up. I did try and tell myself that this just adds a bit of spice, but actually no, its random and chaotic and I don't like it.

Why the massive spike in this objects attraction? This game sure doesn't do subtle in the balance department.

    Oh, and another one.

Sims leaving dishes, glasses and *****y tea cups on half walls that they can pick up and put back down, but can't seem to be able to take to a sink for some reason. So I pause, move all the dishes to a kitchen counter where, of course, they still ignore the kitchen sink and take it to the bathroom sink.

    Me again :)

Mac and Cheese for breakfast? Really? OK, I am sure there are some folk out there who think that is a perfectly reasonable thing to have for breakfast. but they also seem to like Spaghetti or some random thing from the gourmet cooking list.

This has been a real irritant for me since the game launched. When you direct a sim to do a meal there is a nice simple set of categories that are tied to the time of the day that make sense as to what meal to cook. Be real nice if a sim made use of this.

I have simply given up now and let em eat what they want. I used to cancel it, which never really worked right as that decision is really locked in (unlike any parent interaction which will drop if you blink - will save that one for another post), so you then have to clean up the prep board, which can't be dragged to the bin.

    Irritating stuff :)

No doorbell. Can't count the number of times I've not been on the 1st floor only to discover too late that I missed a visitor.

All the really annoying bugs with stairs! The gallery ceasing to load the builds I'm looking for, as well.

*My sims have desks in their bedrooms, yet do their homework in the dining room or outside on the patio. Neither desk has anything on it and are easily accessible.
*My sims are still walking through walls rather than doorways, and I don't play with MoveObjects on
*Another MOO issue: Whenever I place down a lot that I made, there's a pop-up that says the lot was built using the cheat when it actually wasn't.
*Sometimes my sims meet a co-worker or classmate more than once with the Socialize with coworker/classmates option when they're at work and school.

My English is not the best, but I'm trying to describe it as best as I can  Whenever there is a toddler in my household, my adult sims practivally fall over themselves to care for it. For example, Sim 1 carries the toddler to the high chair. While Sim 1 is walking to the fridge to get the baby food, Sim 2 comes along and lifts the toddler out of the high chair and carries the toddler back up to the kids room. In the meantime, the toddler is hungry and crying and gets the angry moddlet. It's such a clown fiesta that I'm inclined to turn off autonomy, at least until the toddler ages up.

This last part is super annoying especially for teenagers, because there's only an option to "meet new friends". While they can't socialise with said new friends at school. Yet adults can socialise with their new co-workers, with no hassle whatsoever, it's super annoying and lame because kids do more than just learn and meet new people at school. ffs.

No kidding, in my game yesterday, I had a sim make a meal inside and instead of going to the dining room, they went to sit on a garden bench outside because a member of the household was outside dribbling the soccer ball. Like bro...I like that they're more social, but I just don't understand the logic behind some of the choices. xO
