The new DIYs are so cute, I'm obsessed. I traded for them already cuz I just wanna decorate not hunt them down lol. I have no patience for that lol.
I finally cleared out all my flowers from my breeding area except for roses and windflowers cuz I still need blue roses and purple wildflowers. I kept 1 of everything else and put them on the beach hoping with them out of the way it would help encourage those 2 to show up finally. I forgot other areas where I planted flowers so those exploded overnight and nothing I wanted showed up lol. I was like "why did I get like 1 flower and it's just a stupid red rose then I ran across my island.. oh that's why" lol. It also opened up soooo much space for snow boys. Of course the snowballs won't spawn there lol. I haven't even found them for today yet which can't be a good sign about their location lol.
I only just got the update now. I never thought to manually search for it last night though it just finally popped up on it's own when I started my switch after work tonight. So I'm assuming I have to wait until morning to see if I have any fragments wash up.
What is weird is autosave seems to have failed from before the update. I hadn't saved properly because I shouldn't have needed to but I did lose some progress that I shouldn't have. Nothing serious that I can't easily fix. It's just odd.
I was able to do the cafe expansion today. Many have interpreted it as an art gallery, but since my cafe is an ice cream parlor, I made a birthday party room. The "guests" all arrived carrying bags which could have held presents. So fun!
Apparently I'm terrible at opening my mail in game. I opened only the mail with items attached last night I had about 100 items lol. Well I'm gonna try and do a storage cleanout christmas eve so I guess some of it can go there since clearly I don't care about even the stuff that I'd ordered from nook shopping lol.
Checking mail is the first thing I do every day. Then I head over to resident services to get my daily nook points. Next I travel the island. Same path every day. Looking for fossils to collect, villagers crafting, and the money tree. After that I do other random stuff.
I check my mail first too, but only because the beeping annoys me. I walk along part of the beach on my way to the airport in case the message bottle is there. At the airport I head to Harv's to check Katrina's forecast. Then I get my coffee before checking the rest of the beaches and finding which villager is crafting that morning.
After that I gather resources, do morning stretches, and check the stores.
I just rush to get any shopping done lol so the cranny and ables and the nook shopping app and then I go to the vacation islands check the poki shop. Then I go back and do any other dailies I feel like doing which is frankly not many of them. My sound is usually off or low so it's easy to ignore the beeping mailbox. I mostly only check mail if I ordered something that I really need.

I did manage to clear up some space and made a perfect snowboy. 3 more to go.

Interesting, I didn't find one on Kapp'ns island today. Or on the beach either.
I wonder if it is a new glitch?

I spent most of the morning designing my Christmas market in the shopping district.
I meant New Zealand.
