Parks (amusement parks, water parks, carnivals)

Hello everyone!

So I've been reading old surveys and noticed that the team put theme parks several times in these surveys such as amusement parks, water parks, carnivals. I don't know if something around that idea could come but I kinda hope it could. Carnivals are the ones I easily picture as they could easily add lots of gameplay: Circus related careers (clowns, magicians, acrobats, jugglers); Divination Arts (Tarot, chiromancy, Bibliomancy, radiestesia, etc...) that could be a new skill (divination skill); Talismanic Arts; Amusement rides+ carrousels; Puppeteers+ puppets (different from kids room stuff); stalls, games and booths...
What do you think?

I think it could work as long as it isn't performance-heavy. Most of the rides could be generic ride decor with a few working generic rides(I say generic because I've gotten so sick and tired of seeing EA/Maxi plunk all those annoying gnomes and boring llamas into the game),and the game booths and food stands work be functional and would have someone at the stands 24/7. We could also create our own theme parks/county fairs.

Waiting for Paralives to come out.

Me too, but I really don't know how they would implement them: a lot or an interactive neighbourhood?

I'd love this for a pack. probably GP but I'm up for it being an EP instead. I would imagine for GP probably only 5-6 lots/rides (though maybe some lots could have more than one ride, probably not). EP could bring in more like 10-12 lots/rides.

    Musts for me:
Rollercoaster with several themes of course, as well as parts to make your own. This would be the "star" of the pack so to speak.
Ferris Wheel - after rollercoasters the most recognizable theme park ride.
Carousel also with several themes- another hugely prominent and ride that everyone's familiar with.

Those are the big three. Personally I'd love to see the below, but some of these would have to be cut for GP.

Tilt-A-Whirl - this is my personal favorite ride, and seems to be fairly popular.
Bumper Cars - also a very popular ride.
Swings - some type of swing ride, the type that goes in a circle, spins the Sims around.
Scrambler (also known as many other names but this is the most common in the US) - hard to describe but easy to google.
Several water type rides - one that's more "slide" oriented and one that's more "boat/raft down a river" oriented.
Teacups (also known as "It's a Small World") - a more relaxed, slower ride.
"The Drop" - also known by many names, the ride that you get on a platform that takes you way up in the sky and then drops you at a fast pace (though I don't know how this would work with lot height limitations in the game.)

Obviously these would have to all be scaled down a bit but I would hope we could at least get 2-4 Sims in each type of ride at one time. Some would be okay on by yourself though, but some, half the fun is when you're goofing around with friends/family/other people (Bumper Cars, Tilt-A-Whirl)

I'd also love to see midway games and a house of mirrors.
It's kind of sad that I have to point out that anything I say is only just my opinion and may be a different one from someone else.

We got Journey to Batuu as a themed park. If they do another amusement park type pack, I would definitely love some more traditional rides like bumper cars, a huge water slide, and a rollercoaster.

Batuu isn't a Theme Park. It doesn't even have rides and games.

Batuu is a theme park: The rides are the different space ships, the games also depends on the faction you play in (sabacc and lightsaber/training with droids) and Dj R-3X is also a sort of attraction and finally there's a souvenir shop!

Of course it's not the classic theme park we are used too...that's why another more generic theme park in the game would be refreshing.

I’d love to see a pack with hotels, casino’s, and amusement parks. Water rides, and a few regular rides, carnival booths, I remember sims 1 or 2 had a vacation pack with a hotel with a pool, a buffet, and carnival booths that was really cute where you could win things. I think there should also be food booths with things like pizza burger, snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn, candied apples and funnel cakes.

I do hope they will make it where each ride and booth, and hotel is separate so we can make our own amusement parks, hotels, and casino’s…… I hope it’s not like snowy escape where all the activities are tied to the one world. That way there could be a lot of them on the gallery.

I think an amusement park is likely given that it's been teased in a number of surveys (like OP said) and also the fact that Sims Freeplay also has an amusement park/carnival feature and there's usually a lot of content overlap between TS4 and freeplay.

In Sims Mobile the amusement park feature comes with a carousel, roller coaster, ferris wheel, a bounce house, a juggling stage, and carnival stalls (kissing booth, fortune teller, high striker), and popcorn & cotton candy stands.

I can see similar features coming to TS4 in a game pack. There could also be a new juggling skill to go with the juggling stage.

Thanks for sharing! I've been wanting theme parks/carnivals forever and I don't play the mobile games so I didn't know all that. Seems pretty promising then for Sims 4. Fingers crossed!

I think a Themepark Pack would be an expansion pack. Gamepacks will probably be limited to Refreshes now.

I would love to see this happen.

Best worlds in Sims 4 for me are; Willow Creek, Tartosa, Windenburg, StrangerVille and Brindleton Bay. 😊😎🎉

I'd love this too, just want it with a swatch where it's all rundown and spooky, too. A haunted theme park would be fab.

I'm so ready for an Amusement Park pack. Thing is I don't know if it should be a game pack cause all the new animations or a stuff pack.

Definitely a game pack or bigger but not a stuff pack....there is too much to put in such a theme

Yes, if Snowy Escape and Island Living are Expansions, Theme Park is definitely worth an Expansion Pack development

We had roller coasters, carousels, boat gondelas and other carnival stuff in TS3 Store so I don't know why we can't have that in TS4. SimGuruCopeland aka Alan Copeland was a Godsend. He had that little red book he kept his ideas in. If only he was a producer or developer in TS4.

If there will be Amusment Parks I would love a Kondike Days Park, Calgary Stampede Days & Disneyland. Or at least parodies on all them. ;)
