This house was created with Strangerville in mind, and it has desert plants landscaping. It might also look nice in Oasis Springs or Del Sol Valley. It's designed to be a very lived-in old house for an older couple whose kids have moved out. I used the shell provided by Aljay2000 on the gallery. I added a fenced garden and a work shed out back, and I decided to remove the basement (the stairs did not work well with the house being on the "stilts" foundation).

Living room, dining room and kitchen are all an open joined area, as in the blueprints.

The place where the basement stairs were, I turned into the laundry nook.

    There is one bathroom.

My sim couple turned the old kids' room into an office/crafting room.

The master bedroom. I deliberately left a lot of the walls blank in this house so there would be lots of room to put up personal family photographs.

The shed is not part of the original blue prints, but I had room on the lot and felt like this is the type of household that would definitely have a shed. The shed has a woodworking bench and a flower arranging table.

The fenced garden area of the uploaded lot is empty, so your sims can get right to work planting their own flowers and vegetables.

Old but Loved is a lovely older well lived in desert home :) Very nice warm wood texture of the walls, and the fenced garden and workshed are great! Sims will enjoy doing woodworking and flower arranging in the shed, The interior furnishing is lovely! Very nice blue and natural wood colours. The floral wall pattern is very pretty though a little faded due to the home being old. The rips in the kitchen and craft room wall are a great touch! The type of furniture used through the home reflects well the old but well lived theme. The older type of sofa and the rocking chair in the living room are very nice to sit and watch tv on. The faded kitchen counters abs cabinets are great for the type of home The laundry nook is great! Very nice crafting room to enjoy doing knitting and craft work.
The house is a lovely home for the older couple :)

@GlacierSnow I absolutely love your build! I especially like the craft room and the work shak. The whole build is quite believable.

@illusie your little cottage is so cute and I especially like the flowers.

As for me, I didn't even get to this one, my BnS family for me Sim entry have taken so much time I didn't do all my usual build challenges this month.
