Katie Seymour seemed to be a bit of a loner for her short time at Britechester.
The only time anyone noticed her was when she was going around cleaning things, like a bee zipping from flower to flower.
Other than that, she was more like a background person.
Easily missed.
But now that she is gone, she is missed in an entirely different way.
Life carries on: going to classes.
Returning from classes.
Doing homework and then gorging on food.
Working on presentation boards.
And finding moments for a little recreation.
The Llama exploded?
It's late summer and it's starting to rain and storm more often as Autumn nears.
Cassandra Goth weather.
The dorm routine is settling in.
Cassandra Goth's favorite routine is flirting with Zane in front of Meadow.
Producing a sad face from her.
It's time to put an end to this.
Zane asks Cassandra if they can just be friends.
Cassandra cheerfully responds, "Okay, Zane. I understand, friends it is."
Meadow has had enough.
"I really don't appreciate the two of you flirting when I am sitting...right...here.
It's so... disrespectful!"
She stalks sadly away.
"You know, you should really stop pushing her buttons like that."
"Yeah, I know, Zane, but I can't help it. It's so much fun."
Sad-running on the treadmill is not as humiliating as crying in bed.
That's a Throwback Fit Kit outfit.
I like it.
Hello.
Who do we have here?
She is the girlfriend of dormie, Edmond Chandra.
Well now,
okay! I know who I will pair him up with when he gets a house somewhere in the world.
There is something different about dormie behavior now.
They feel like they have a little more depth.
These two are having an argument.
This is new to me.
I need to play an individual sim through Uni with a light academic load--so many dormie love interests to steal.
I was noticing friends and family walking by the dorm.
And then it hit me. They weren't walking by. They were visiting.
They wait outside the door and leave if I don't let them in.
I have to keep watch for them and go down to get them.
Nami's Dad shouldn't be visiting anyone here.
But I will assume that he is checking out Britechester. As much as he want his daughter to be a Foxbury Scientist or engineer, he would rather have her go for a distinguished degree if she is going to major in the arts.
Jayme Abbot is a machine.
She has a body that looks like rippled steel. She is always on the treadmill.
Cassandra discovers the pipe organ in the attic--even more reasons to hangout up here.
Meadow finds Zane up here too, of course.
Time to collect him.
Cassandra and Zane really are in a platonic friendship.
Of course it will turn in a raging affair years later when they hit their mid-life crisis.
Another death?? I know you feel the pain more than me reading it, but just, wow. You must be doing something right...me, I never have anyone die in the vicinity of my sims so I can collect the urn.
On the up side, I love having my spellcasters go to the bars on ghost night and turn the adult and young adult ghosts back into living breathing sims...after my spellcaster gets to know them first, I wouldn't want to unleash a sim serial harasser back into the game.
Great science room!
Loved the update, and the pictures!
In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.

How do I know when there is going to be a ghost night at a bar?
I would love to send Cassandra.
Hi CK! Love the update! I am still amazed at the groups you take everywhere, must be a talent I don't have.
I don't know which night the game deems as ghost night, mostly I like sending my sims out to the local bar for a beer and games, socializing after a hard day's work. I have disabled most of the theme nights, just no. I was not impressed with any of them but I did keep guys' night, girls' night, singles night and ghost night. With less options I figure I have a better chance of hitting ghost night.
Good Luck!

We can disable theme nights?
It may have been so long that I have forgotten how, or are you doing it with a mod?
Cassandra has not forgotten Katie Seymour.
To succeed in bringing her back, Cassandra will have to gain mastery over her magic.
She practiced in the sealed magic chamber in the dorm's attic. Unfortunately she could not experiment with potions there.
But she knew of a place.
A place she discovered in her home town, where she first became interested in magical things.
Sylvan Glade.
There isn't much that she can do right now however.
She is short on ingredients and doesn't know the spells to accelerate the growth of the few plants here.
Sylvan Glade leads to a place even more magical.
The Magic Realm.
A place where she could learn much more.
Although the library and the Sages aren't helping her advance as fast as she would like.
She needed trial by fire. That was to be done by challenging others for knowledge.
Specifically, She needed to challenge the family members from the House of Purcell and Cross.
The best way to get their friendship and respect is to challenge them to duels, however painful that may be.
The respect did not come from actually beating them.
It is more the fact that you were brave enough to try.
Once they accepted you, you had access to their library of Spell Tomes.
Except for the color and furnishings, this Purcell/Cross house is identical to the Goth family home.
Cassandra feels quite at home.
Excellent!
The Necrocall and teleport spells are hers.
Now to pop upstairs and thank her hosts.
It's nice having other spellcasters that are also my sims.
Now to return to the dorm. She still has a way to reach the mastery level and learn the Dedeathify spell.
Oops!
She also has to master that takeoff.
There were other dangers on this journey.
Dangers like being doubly cursed with no cure on hand.
She has the Curse of Uncleansable Stench and uncontrollable charge.
She will have to do something about this, but first she must do something about her energy level.
Edmond chose to follow her.
Okay, that is one more nod towards Edmond being a love interest.
Hey... that's one thing Cassandra can use her magic.
She use her magic to cause them some social and romance issues between Edmond and his girlfriend.
Something for another time,
but for now, she is lucky that there is a curse cure still left in the potions store.
Bottoms up.
The cure didn't completely do the trick.
She has to sleep the overcharge effects off.
It is just as well, for she is terrifying anyone around her with all that energetic buzzing and crackling.
It's sad when your closest friends are not only scared for you, but scared of you too.
Zane is currently puking his guts out.
Final exam jitters, of course.
Yes they are finally at the end of this term and they are waiting outside so nothing distracts them and makes them miss their final exams.
Just sit here where I can keep an eye on you.
Excellent.
Cassandra practiced her magic until they came back.
"That should do it, Zane."
"Next!"
I have a little dorm project going.
Ooh, nice pose, Gianna.
We can do better, Edmond.
I am creating a student photo wall.
"Okay, Cassandra."
"Nice profile, Jayme!"
Ritu Srinivasan, I don't know why, but she always looks shorter to me.
It must be her clothes.
I have a lot of dormie friendships. Some of them will be given homes in the world.
I do have a memorial wall, in case anyone else ever dies in the dorm.
This was just a placement test.
And this ends the term.
Back to Smuggsworth, where Cassandra will finalize the mastery of her magic to bring Katie Seymour back from the dead.
I love your idea of students pictures, very nice looking wall. In one of the pics, Zane looks a little chubby(?) It also may have been his clothes too.
Oh, sorry, I have Deaderpool's MC Command mod, within that mod there is a setting whereby canceling the different bar night themes. I literally cannot play without it.
Probably 98% of the sims I play in rotation are spellcasters, so much easier to do everything!
Great update!

I believe he is a little overweight from all the food the dormies bring in.
Cassandra eventually gained the Mastery Level.
She reveled as she read the tome for the Dedeathify spell.
Her term at Britechester University complete, Cassandra moved back into her parent's home.
Now is the time to course correct an unfortunate accident.
But first, she must pop in and reconnect with her mother.
"A spellcaster now, okay. I'll take that over you being a vampire."
First she must use the Necrocall spell on Katie, to call her soul from the realm of the dead.
Alright, halfway there.
And then hit her with Dedeathify, to recreate her Earthly body.
Katie, however, is not in the mood to cooperate.
She storms into the Goth home, enraged.
She makes her way to the library.
Mortimer and Bella happen to be here.
Being in normal surroundings seems to give her pause.
Yes, let's calm it all down.
Cassandra is able to speak with her now.
"Katie, do you know who I am?"
Katie calms down.
"Cassandra?"
Now! "Dedeathify!"
"What's going on? How did I get here?"
Cassandra explains all that happened to her.
Katie is astounded with the news. She had no idea.
Mortimer shoots off confetti because he happens to have some on hand for the holiday.
Now is as good a time as ever to celebrate.
"I can't thank you enough Cassandra. It's strange that I don't remember any of it.
I do remember that tremendous jolt at the robotics bench, but after that, nothing."
"Perhaps it was the shock. You crossed over not actually being yourself."
"All that matters is that you're back, with us."
It feels good to be alive again, even if you don't remember being dead.
But right now, she feels like she could use a good nights sleep.
Katie will stay with the Goths until the next term starts for Britechester.
The next day Katie was insistent on going to the Foxbury University store to buy some equipment.
She really liked experimenting with robotics.
That why she was messing about with it in the first place.
She wants to change majors and this bit of tech might provide a little more protection.
Yuki?
Strange place to find her, but a happy sight all the same.
And Zane?
He looks a little guilty.
It's okay. Her death wasn't his fault and he helped get her back by getting it started.
"Thank you."
Michelle Brooks! I need to rotate around to you and progress your story.
These little guys will look cute in her room.
Better snatch them up too before someone else does.
"All set, Katie?"
"Sure am! Bring on the next term."
With Cassandra, Meadow, and Zane so close to graduation, It is time to progress more of my younger sims.
I am starting with the Chagall family in San Myshuno.
This is Edgar Chagall, future celebrity artist:
I am working on his skills, values, and aspiration--the little social butterfly.
His mother is Rita Chagall, artist and art critic.
Apparently she does not like what she is hearing.
Edgar met Nami while his mother was out adding to a mural.
My next stop was Kara Monteroy.
I also needed to progress her parents. They haven't gotten far in their careers at all and their home is so sparse.
Her mother needed to do some research for her job, so I sent them to the library I have in Windenburg. Kara met Elsa Bjergsen while there.
That's what happened to my Britechester dorm's soccer ball!
She nicked it.
A while back, I dropped by the Monteroy house to play them for a short time.
The dorm is very close to their house and I decided to have Kara explore it.
The ball was in the trophy case and I figured why not get some juggling skills early.
I thought she had put it back, not put it in her inventory.
Her parents can't afford a piano. This was a perfect chance to introduce her to a piano.
One of the dormies came over to watch her play and then began to play violin with her.
It was sweet and all, but Kara knows how bad she is at piano and would be embarrassed to play in the presence of someone so good.
I had planned to have her return for more exploring and piano playing, but with so many sims, I never got around to it.
So she can do some ball juggling, and actually earn some fame, which is actually her dream--to be famous.
Her mom finished her task and it was time to return home.
The Britechester dorm in Windenburg is visible from their house.
I was inspired to place a sleeping pod in the dorm's science lab.
I sent Kara's dad over to add an upgrade to it.
Jayme Abbot could not resist sleeping in it while he was working.
It was at this moment that I realized that it was going take more time than I was willing to give in order to play these sims with more depth. It's time to age up and anymore progression can be done at Smuggsworth.
[Teleports outside]
A quick CAS edit and she's good to go.
Yes, yes, your baby is growing up.
Moving on.
We'll just give her a little start on acting.
Wow, she's really cute.
How did that line go?
Again, with more feeling.
Our next stop is the Brown Family in Newcrest.
Monique Brown is watching her favorite TV channel.
The cake is ready.
Make a wish, kid, you are going places.
Hair okay, dress okay, shoes... eh.
Good enough.
And Gamma Vareen just happens to be walking by?
This is perfect.
Meet your future school mate.
Smuggsworth that is. They aren't going to go to University together.
Gamma is going to Foxbury and Monique will go to Britechester, as she prepares for a career in photography.
Monique asks to see Gamma's outfit.
Gamma is going to start a fashion trend at Foxbury.
And now we have come full circle to age up Edgar.
Parents? Never mind the dishes..
Uh... anyway, carry on, Edgar.
There! We will see you orientation day at Smuggsworth.
Goodbye!
I loved this update! You have got to have a spreadsheet to keep track of this many sims.
Yes.
And I do.
Only half them are in, or have been through, prep school so far.
I will never have this many sims in rotation again. They are all going to be part of a master save, and they will always be there.
I will probably just play a half-dozen households at the most in future play.
Katie Spent time in the Goth Family home while I rotated amongst my other sims.
The time has come for her to return to University.
There has been a few changes while she was away.
The dorm has some new amenities.
She happily indulged into the hot springs pool out back.
Those Britechester students are so pampered.
Foxbury is jealous. Of course this will probably result in some deaths by freezing in the winter time.
And someone may drown in the Koi pond next to it. I'll have to keep an eye on Katie.
A sleeping pod has been added to the science lab.
The rocket kit out back is now working thanks to a mod.
As my first Britechester physics major, she will be taking advantage of those.
I am sure Cassandra Goth will become her BFF.
"Whoa... whoa...!"
Oh boy, she is a clumsy sim.
Even more likely she might die in the Koi Sprite pond.
This should be an interesting stay at Uni.
Katie loves tech and has the latest gadgets.
Cassandra and the others only have one term to complete University.
Katie will be staying on for three or four more terms after they leave.
The coffee maker gets a lot of use around here.
Edmond!
OMG!
The girl dies from shock and you think it's funny to pull a shock gag on her?
That deserves a shove.
Well not much of a shove.
The poor thing is exhausted from a heavy course load.
It is time for the sleep pod.
I am suddenly reminded of the Alien movie.
A chest burster, how unnerving.
"Not to worry, there are no Xenomorphs in The Sims 4."
Anyway, it's great to have Katie back and better yet, have control of her now.
Smile, next pose.
That's one for the wall.
Hopefully Katie will survive her stay at University.
I actually had the entirety of last week off and I got in a lot of gaming.
-Gran Turismo 6 (For nostalgia and anticipation of GT 7 coming out in march)
-Final Fantasy XIII (Because I never finished it and FF VII Remake has me wishing for the next Chapter)
-And of course The Sims 4, which I played a lot.
I finished off the current batch in Uni, which included Katie Seymour. And I decided to send Kara Monteroy's family to Henford-on-Bagley.
This should add some extra immersion and background to Kara's fame and fortune scenario.
Playing Cottage Living was so enjoyable.
I haven't had a reason to start any of my sims there until now. So I am back to being way behind on installments to this thread. And it's back to work for me.
Henford-on-Bagley
So beautiful, so quaint, so small...
Who in their right mind would want to leave it?
However, it's making me think of Peter Gabriel. (Who?)
"The place where I come from is a small town.
They think so small, they use small words.
But not me, I'm smarter than that.
I've worked it out.
I'll be stretching my mouth to let those big words come right out.
Well this is going to be Kara Monteroy's scenario as her dad has packed them all up and moved them in a very isolated area of Henford-on-Bagly. They sold most of their furniture and I kachinged them a few grand to buy this house.
I had to renovate the house first.
It was a one bedroom, single level home before. It's now a two level 2 bedroom home now.
Kara needed a bedroom.
And I need to wallpaper that wall.
I think she is set up nicely now.
We have rabbits. I added a stump as well.
Kara goes out to see the rabbits in the morning.
Not much time though, it's time to go to school.
Her father quit his job as a police officer for the simple life. He will pursue farming and writing.
Welcome wagon.
These two are back from school and are doing their school work.
Kara's mom is a teacher. So I image she teaches at Kara's school, which could be problematic for Kara, in a simmer's head-canon.
Her dad is back there in the office working on his writing.
This is so nice. I wish Cottage Living had come out when I had created these sims.
This new setting is only going to fan the flames of her wish for fame and fortune.
Yep, definitely needs to star in a Simvengers movie.
Her father might love this new life of isolation, but Kara, not so much.
But she will have to tolerate it a week or two before I pack her off to Uni prep.
Yes, I do believe this Henford on Bagley inspired scenario is going to be quite enjoyable.
Certainly more of an immersion factor than if I had left her in Windenburg.
She's busy with school and chores and should be feeling pretty isolated.
She hasn't had much time for the rabbits, but perhaps another weekend.
Her free time has been taken up with singing, dancing, charisma, comedy, guitar, and acting practice.
I wouldn't mind her joing the drama club, but there is no time for that. She will join that at the Uni prep school.
Nice job, EA!
I'm having her go into town every chance she gets, especially the pub, and she happened upon Sofia Bjergsen.
Sofia is supportive and understanding of Kara's plight and will become her partner in fame..
She will eventually find Kara's quest interesting and worthwhile and will join her when she moves to San Myshuno, and eventually Del Sol Valley in their climb to the top.
I came upon the idea of having them act out scenes for tips at the pub.
It turned out to be a romance scene.
No tips and an audience of one who only wanted to chat with them.
I will try again, perhaps the setting is just wrong for it. I might build a stage at the pub.
Time moves so fast. It's really late.
We can't leave Sofia here, sleeping.
Wake up!
Of course this little excursion will cause the parents to bring out the Family Bulletin board and some new house rules.
Yes, curfew is now in effect.
That is sure to bring in same family drama.
And the final key to Kara's motivation is being invited over to the Bjergsen home.
She saw how Sofia is living on the island.
And it is nice that Sofia can relate to her, since she herself feels a bit isolated on the island.
No weeding and cleaning chicken coups going on here.
Kara also got to see the Peregrine mansion on her way out.
It's high on the top overlooking the whole island.
[Side note]
Sofia's look was really bothering me until I realized she looked so much older than Kara because she was already established as a teen in game and my Shorter Teens mod had no effect on her. So I aged her down and back up and now she looks younger.
I am surprised how much I am enjoying H-o-B.
Is this what it is like to play MySims? I never played it but didn't it have a town, mayor, citizens, and errands too? The Monteroy family recently added a llama. His name is Monty.
They are earning more money now and I can start spending money on their micro-farm.
Their house was a bit bland.
So I added some embellishments.
The likes/dislikes feature is starting to shine here.
Kara dislikes gardening and it shows on her face.
She loves singing, dancing, acting and comedy and gets fun from doing them.
She's a busy girl though, running all the errands and trying to earn her father some upgrade parts.
Sofia Bjergsen has become her best friend and these two just generate a tight bond to me somehow.
Probably because I am playing new game play features and seeing new animations.
I was going to have Sofia be a roommate when Kara moves to San Myshuno.
But now I've decided to add her to my group of sims.
They will be going to Smuggsworth prep together and then on to Uni/Britechester.
Yes, I have gone totally off the rails with my simming lately.
I haven't posted here in a long time because so much of my simming was not related to my Smuggsworth/University sims.
First of all I took Kara and Sofia for a parallel universe run of what their future may be.
It was quite fun and I plan to play it out again in my main save.
However, it was more about the photography career and Kara, Sophia, and Nami were along for the ride.
Monique will be the photographer when I play it with my main sims.
And then Scenarios came out and I tried the Romance Scenario.
And the Millionaire scenario.
And then I made the mistake of putting Hogwarts in Henford-on-Bagley.
I was having so much fun with this that I forgot about my other sims.
And this was just a trial run to figure out how I would play it. It is going to require major setup time because I plan to have a lot of characters from the Harry Potter Universe in it.
So I have plenty to do in The Sims and I am not feeling the lack of new packs, because I am way too busy.
Totally awesome update! As always, great pictures!
I must say, you are to be commended, to actually play the hard parts out, i.e. Kara helping her father out for animal upgrade parts. I have the nifty and great mod by LittleMsSam that you can order the shed's upgrade parts right from the computer...saves a lot of time. I'm not sure if you even use mods but this one sure saves time.

I haven't played my main sims since winter of last year.
I am gearing up to get back to them. I have updated my main save with new lots from the other saves I was playing instead.
I just need to get my bearings for where I left off and where I will put the old dormies that should have graduated with Olivia, Melonie, Zane, and Meadow.
I should bring these pictures over since I am gearing up to continue my sim's lives.
Forgive me for repeating the obvious if you are familiar with this thread. This was all copied over from a thread for simmers who were not familiar with my sims.
Kara and Sofia are going to move out of their parent's and moved on to Smuggsworth Preparatory School.
It's orientation day. I enjoy the first visit to the school.
Sofia was invited along because she will also be attending.
This is of course Janay Hopson, the school counselor.
I really need to ditch her casual clothes so she appears professional at all times.
This is her office where she actually works her career and answer student's Parenthood questions.
It works very well.
I also give a little tour of the school's facilities that support the degree students will be pursuing at University.
I haven't used it since these are the first acting students.
They gave it a whirl.
They also get to meet the outgoing students on orientation day as well as the ones they will be living with.
Students vacations to places such as Batuu, Mt. Komorebi, and Selvadorada are a thing here.
Batuu ties in with Cosplaying, and Geekcon, so they are getting in some Sabaac practice as they get to know the other students.
It's always the quiet one that wipes you out.
I updated the stage since we have our first drama students now.
Costumes and sets helps with immersion.
The stairs are certainly a set piece. Can't do much up there Since I don't have any acting markers on it.
Just good for pictures.
Kara had her first brush with fame.
Well, someone else's fame. She met Holly Alto while hanging out at my Cybercafe in Del Sol Valley.

I like it.

Loved the update, and the pictures!
How do I know when there is going to be a ghost night at a bar?
I would love to send Cassandra.
I believe my dark academics could use some light.
Sunlight.
And a day at the Bluffs.
Dormie, Edmond Chandra dives right in.
I told you Jayme Abbot was a machine.
Look at that stomach.
Dormie, Gianna Sizemore takes to fire dancing.
Peter!
You are now Peter Rabbit, rabbit.
This whole outing was just an excuse to tryout some Cottage Living features in Windenburg.
He's so happy!
And the birds!
I don't want everyone to have to travel to Henford, just to befriend some wildlife.
Cassandra and Edmond...?
I wonder how compatible they are. (Well probably easily in a game with no chemistry or attraction system yet.)
Getting them out of that dark dorm was a great idea.
Power strokes from Meadow, she is really cutting through the water.
It's getting late and people are getting hungry.
No problem.
The Bluffs can accommodate them.
This was nice, and a nice break from dorm life.
Thanks, Cassandra.
I don't know which night the game deems as ghost night, mostly I like sending my sims out to the local bar for a beer and games, socializing after a hard day's work.
Goodbye!
Yes.
I did post some of Kara's life on the Packs forums:
https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/995010/big-time-henford-san-myshuno-del-sol-valley-pack-inspired-scenario
That and more will be coming here.
I've had enough. I'm getting out,
to the city, the big, big city." (San Myshuno. )
https://youtu.be/PBAl9cchQac
Pursuing acting, of course.
I should probably read this entire thread again.
She's a minor celebrity, but still a celebrity.
An autographed picture! So exciting.
This is too good an opportunity to pass up.
Acting out a scene with Holly Alto.
This made her day.
To bad she can't frame it.
