Hello All. I've been busy and stressed about life in general. But I did finally manage to get the next episode of the 30 Grandchildren Badge Attempt completed and loaded to YouTube. I hope you are able to watch it and enjoy it. Don't forget to give it a like if you do enjoy it and a comment on the actual video in YouTube will do wonders to assisting with the channel growing. But if you want to only comment here that's fine.

    Happy Simming.

In this episode, Coby and Sharonda travel to The Great Southern Land to meet their future spouses, Clarise and Stan.

In the previous episode the final three imaginary friends were made real. There are no more imaginary friends in Gerri's household to be made real. The end of this apparently never ending series is looming.

Lucy is evil, Bruce is a coward and Clara is unstable and currently insane too.

I had a few issues with memory in this episode as I had 19 Sims in the household and the computer didn't like it. So I focused on the romance between the two couples and then they got married. They didn't go out and slowly get to know each other in multiple venues.

Coby and Clarise are in the Dome and there is plenty going on there and it's interesting to see. Sharonda and Stan made do with a park. But both couples were very happy to find each other and all went smoothly. Until the wedding. I invited about 6 guests from town. All seemed to be going well until Coby and Clarise never got to the point of actually getting married. They just stood under the wedding arch and did lots of autonomous idle actions. Finally I got the message. I shut down without saving then relaunched and invited only 2 guests and it all went very smoothly after that.

Coby and Clarise got married and cut the cake and there was dancing. This was interrupted by Sharonda and Stan going to the wedding arch and they got married too. This was followed by more cake and dancing.

We get to meet all members of the Great Southern Land household who will be left there when the two newly married couples leave for home in Cake Island II.

Mark, Lionel, Jack, Chris, Karen, Clara, Rachael, Cameron, Bruce, Lucy

Then we have a quick look at the houses the newly married couples will live in before returning to Gerri's house and we see Megan and Latoya leaving for their journey to The Great Southern Land where they will meet their future spouses Mark and Lionel.

The end of the video is in the house in the Great Southern Land again.

The game seems to run quite nicely with 16 Sims in the house so I'll be doing a lot of training of sims before the next episode will be ready. I'll record video of the sims visiting places around the world before the weddings. But there will be a lot of skilling and book reading going on behind the scenes before I post the next episode. I can't wait for this to end. So there will be another double wedding next episode and I'm thinking there will probably be a triple wedding in the following episode.

Mark and Lionel - to be married next

    Final Five Future Spouses
    Mark-Lionel-Jack-Chris-Karen.jpg

Karen will be the last to marry - I have set the rules that there will be no moving out or marrying anyone else. But I noticed, just as I was shutting down the game last night, that Karen had moodlets indicating she has had her first kiss and first romance, presumably during the weddings. Her romance is with one of the Imaginary Friends Made Real - Cameron. I hope nothing comes of it. She's meant for Kendall. And Cameron just happens to be Kendall's imaginary friend made real.

@Karritz I finally got to watch 30 Grandchildren Badge Episode 36. I enjoy watching your Sims 3 videos even though I don't play that version any more. I like Sims 4, but miss some of the game play in 3. The different interactions between sims--many don't appear in 4. All the items from the Store and Packs are fun to see again too. The dancing sunflowers, for instance. And the dome in your video.

The romance scenes were sweet. And the proposals. The double wedding was great. Perfect music background for the ceremonies and receptions. ...I remember that Unstable trait! LOL. ...I liked the household/group photos. ...Nice homes for the newlyweds too. ...Glad you showed inside some of the community buildings--the casino, etc. Thanks for sharing your sims' lives. :)

    Hi @Karritz, I'm watching Episode 36 :)

Clarisse and Coby on a wonderful date, they are very cute! I love watching the dates and romance of your sims!
I think Coby just asked her to be his girlfriend it looked like to me, I love that 'ask' holding hands with the other arm gesticulating upwards in a question, it was a few mins before he proposed, so cute! :)

Love the wedding! Clarrisse's blue hair is so pretty I love that style! Her wedding dress is wonderful! It's so nice to see your weddings! Everything always looks amazing and is so nicely decorated!

Stan & Sheronda wedding next was great! Clara running around in her bikini was funny! I had a laugh with Stan getting confused momentarily and flirting with the guy throwing rice for a moment was priceless! Glad he went back to his new wife still under the alter! I just adore watching sims just do what they do! :D

I know what you mean about too many sims coming to the weddings, I'm sorry to hear you say in your video that you had to start one over inviting less people. I wish that worked for me, I get so many party crashers, even when I check mark the rental space and pay the fee! LOL But I'm not as nice as you are and don't restart it, I just let them be crowded and watch them wade through the jello like air space hahaha. It resolves when they go on to other activities!

The Pink rose house and orange house on butter cream lane were very nice to see and your casino looks great!

It's always so nice to see how you take such good care of and provide so much enrichment for your sims! Great video!

@lanlyn thank you for watching and for telling me about it. I am starting to put the next episode together. I'm planning another double wedding. It should be fun. I'm glad you enjoy your nostalgia hit when watching these old videos. I know I would probably do much better if I moved with the times but I still enjoy Sims 3. I do own Sims 4 but only got the base game and it isn't on this computer as I didn't put Origin on it for fear my Sims 3 would be automatically somehow upgraded to that version that gives people so much trouble. I'm glad you're enjoying your Sims 4. I might think about getting Sims 5 if it ever is released.

About looking inside those community lots. I've never bothered to look inside many of them. They came with the game and @Rflong7 does such a great detailed job of all of her worlds and lots I love to take a peek inside some of those buildings and see what's happening in them.

@DivaDoodle thank you for watching and telling me you watched and enjoyed the video. There will be some romance in the next episode too. I always look for that ask to be boyfriend and girlfriend and do see it when I'm recording the videos but for some reason I can't often pick it when I'm putting the videos together for YouTube.

The reason I shut down and started again with less guests is the game wouldn't progress with the wedding. They stood under the wedding arch and looked as if t hey were about to get married and it would drop out over and over and over again. After spending a really long time trying, I even tried the wedding arch upstairs, and always getting the same result I realised I was demonstrating that definition of madness - expecting a different outcome when doing the same thing over and over again. So I reluctantly shut down, reloaded and decided to test inviting less sims to the wedding and it worked first go.

Yes, Stan got confused. That confusion went on for quite a while in real life but I cut most of it out. Added a bit of it just for fun. I thought it amusing he suddenly remembered who he was supposed to be with and autonomously turned around and went back to her.

I won't do it in the next episode as there are a few too many sims in the household still, but probably the next episode I will sort out Clara's traits. I'm thinking of adding one of those brain enhancing machines to the household and do some experimenting on her with it. I've never used one of them fully. I've always had sims with traits I didn't want to mess up. But Clara's traits are so badly messed up already it is the perfect opportunity to see what can be done with a brain enhancing machine. And it'll be something new to add to an episode. I do try to add new experiences so the episodes are not too much of same thing over and over again.

The two couples getting married in Episode 37 will live across the street from the Coby and Sharonda houses.

I better get to work on that video now.

    Happy Simming

@Karritz Wow thanks for telling me about your wedding weirdness, you know, come to think of it I'm thinking that must be what happened with my couple who married at the festival but then the next day they both got the wish to get married at a party that was going on at the house! LOL I was too confused by all the guests at the first wedding to even understand that it had not gone through! hahaha

I just thought it was some glitch and pretended that they had liked the experience so much they wanted to do it again at the party!

Well sounds like Stan is my kind of sim! :D I love when they get confused and do things out of sorts! I'm glad you left that part of is confusion in the video!

Glad to hear you are still working on the big challenge of getting all those sims skilled up and married and moved out! I'm sure it will be another great video! :)

@DivaDoodle I really just want to get it done so I can move on to other video series. I found my two sisters who have gone to The Great Southern Land to meet and marry their future husbands haven't completed reading their books. I've got almost everyone in the household reading and learning things and some are trying to get a few extra lifetime happiness points. I will do the wedding today some time though. It's just gone 10 am here at the moment.

Next episode will probably see a triple wedding and then that'll be it for all the weddings. The following episode will see a sudden baby boom. Hopefully each couple will have two babies and then I think Gerri, their mother, will have to have one more for the badge to trigger. But only if I remember to log on while playing before all these babies start arriving.

I'm thinking Master Controller might be used to ensure each couple is pregnant. I don't plan to make them all instant babies. All 15 of Gerrie's babies were instant. They arrived in batches of 4 or 5 so it didn't take long. All on the same sim day. She was very surprised.

    Happy Simming
  • DivaDoodleDivaDoodle Posts: 1,858 Member

@Karritz I hope it all goes well and that you are logged on when the couples have their kids if that is what needs to be done! And of course Gerri, the super Mom and Granny!

I wonder if it must be horrible to play logged on, I imagine it can get laggy or have ads or something that makes people not want to do it very often!

I am very excited for you to get that Badge!!!

Your play isn't just play, it's an art form! Enjoy your time with your great sims! :)
  • KarritzKarritz Posts: 21,918 Member
@DivaDoodle thanks. Well I am an artist. Have lots of watercolours and oils and drawings and things to show for it and plan to get into it more soon.

When I'm logged on it isn't too bad but can be a bit difficult at times. I don't have Origin on my computer so don't have all the problems most people have when they are logged on. My version of the game is from pre 2012 so I can play without Origin. We had something else that Origin replaced originally so that might be why. I pre-ordered my base game so I've been simming for quite a while. Started with the Original Sims and was about to move up to Sims 2 when Sims 3 was announced so I decided to wait for it.

I just hope the badge happens. It is difficult to get and may not trigger. I think I'll move on to some other series regardless if it doesn't happen. I could try again at some stage by just having a sim with maybe 5 children and age them up fast and get each of them to have 6 babies. Could do that in a few days and get a result.

Hello all. I didn't get lost yet. I've just finished playing the game to the point required to complete the video for the next episode.

The next episode will see Megan marry Mark and Latoya marry Lionel. I have about 3 hours worth of video to edit so it'll take me a few days to do. Hopefully the episode will be on the channel in a week or less.

    Happy Simming all.

    Update.

Episode 37 is getting very close to completion.

I had almost 3 hours of video recorded for this episode. The problem is I have about 1 hr 45 minutes of the recorded video left to squeeze into less than 10 minutes if it's going to be restricted to 30 minutes long.

I'm thinking maybe I'll have to finish it off in another episode. There is so much happening in this episode.

Previous episodes recorded in the Great Southern Land had to be rushed as I had the house so overstuffed with sims I was having major problems with game stability. I also finally 'bit the bullet' and cleaned out the personal inventories of everyone and that helped a bit. It turned out that their inventories weren't as full as I thought. But they did have quite a few harvestables stashed.

Consequently, with this episode the game is running much better, and I've been able to do a lot more with everyone living in the house and some of each of them needs to be shown.

And I discovered the two brides who I sent to the Great Southern Land to meet their future husbands and to get married still needed to complete a lot of reading. They had their skills but still had recipes and fishing books to read. While they did that I recorded activities of some of the other residents.

Plus there was time for a slightly slower development of the romance between the two couples. I'm hoping to get this episode up in a day or two. Really I want to get it done tomorrow but I have to add the music and that can take a lot of time looking for it and getting it into the video.

Another complication is this couple discovered the Teppanyaki Grill in the basement at the dome. They made good use of it during their date.
    TheGrill.jpg
However, it then caused mayhem at the wedding with everyone wanting to go to the grill when they were supposed to be dancing or getting married.

I don't think the double wedding went as well this time. The guests got a bit out of control.

Another development. This sim is Klaus Warner. He's an old sim I made years ago - while Sims 3 was still getting new packs. He is evil and his lifetime wish is Master Romancer. He has his eye on Lucy. She is evil too and is Jonie's imaginary friend made real. I'm sort of wondering if I might develop them into another romance and possible wedding in the final episodes. When I send the final 3 sims to the great southern land to meet their spouses. There won't be so many sims in the household and I'm sort of thinking it might be fun to team this pair up.

    Klaus-Warner.jpg

In the game for which I first made him he was part of a household of 8 unrelated young adults. He kept beating other household members up and I was glad when he started disappearing for most of each sim day. I suspected he was going into town. It was unusual for my sims to leave the house back then. But it was much more peaceful not having him around. Then I suddenly got the 'Big Meanie' badge awarded. I can only assume he was beating up townies while he was away from home. I never went to check on him.

The only trait Klaus and Lucy have in common is the Evil trait. They could be a fun couple.

    This is Lucy
    Lucy-Holden-IFmade-Real.jpg

EDIT: If I do include Klaus in the story, I might give him a makeover as he has no CC on him. He was made a long time before I started adding CC or mods to my games.
  • DivaDoodleDivaDoodle Posts: 1,858 Member

@Karritz wow that sounds really interesting, and also I am glad to hear all is going well with cleaning out the backpacks! I do that too, it seems to help the game run better on my laptop, the only sims I let keep some of their stuff are the snobs, because they love to brag about their possessions! :D

So this Klaus guy, wow he went off on his own and won you an award! hahaha that is so cool!

Is he also mean spirited? I never had an evil sim try to beat up someone, they just mostly rub their hands together evilly and sometimes try to steal candy from babies, mine are kind of wimpy! lol

I can't wait to see what you decide in the video!

    PS Lucy is adorable!

@DivaDoodle Klaus's traits are Brave, Disciplined, Evil, Flirty and Great Kisser. His LTW is Master Romancer.

I have occasionally had a sim that will autonomously brawl with others. I clearly remember one that I banned from my game for years because she was constantly rolling around on the ground with one other member of the household. Then I added her to the household for my Isla Paradiso Bunch videos and she behaved her self throughout the series.

This is a screen shot I got of the final fight she picked. I saw her jump onto her housemate who was about to walk down the spiral staircase. The housemate is the one with the blond bun. Josephine was still a blue genie at the time.
    Fight-In-Casino-zps3893d2cd-1.jpg

Josephine was kept out of all games for years until I finally added her to the Isla Paradiso Bunch household and gave her a makeover.

    Josephene001.jpg

I don't remember all of Josephine's traits. She is a coward and often fainted when the ghost of Mia Azul came out to haunt the house. Mia Azul died in their house at a bachelorette party that went on unsupervised for too long.

Here she is slapping one of her household members, Diana. This pic is from the Isla Paradiso Bunch series. The sim working on making an elixir is Judy, my first ever witch.
    Josephine-And-Dianna002.jpg

I have two series of videos on the Isla Paradiso Bunch in my channel. There are a few people hoping I do a third but I want to get a few other series completed first. In the first series they are trying to get me badges from the Island Paradise Expansion and in the second series they do walkthroughs of all of the tombs in the World Adventures tombs. If I do a third series it will be family life. The household expanded greatly during their adventures and I used Porter mod to move them to a new home world (Dragon Valley) and then started breaking them up into family groups. I do really want to continue playing them. The first family group I broke off has Judy (the witch) as head of the household. Her household is so large that it is already overstuffed. That is where I first started giving major makeovers to my Imaginary Friends made real. Although Judy has no life partner and has never been pregnant she has numerous children she's collected during her adventures including a mermaid (clone of Triton King) and two plant sims (Judy picked in Isla Paradiso) and a plant sim Judy planted when the plant sims first came into the game. And she cloned herself in that same game from years ago. And there is all of their imaginary friends made real. I knew I was forgetting someone, Judy also cloned one of the Sims from France and that's how she got Donna Dutiel who is currently a child.

I do like colourful characters in my games. I spent years playing with households of 8 unrelated sims. I just made a new group of 8 sims in Create a Household whenever I wanted a new game. I would put them in a big house with lots of stuff in it and watch them. I usually kept them home but some went out to work and sometimes they'd go somewhere to take a class. Klaus and Josephine were made for this type of household. Most of the 'old' sims I have as townies are from these groups of 8 unrelated sims. I'd mostly just direct them towards skills but left everything else up to them. I found it hilarious to see what they got up to sometimes.

EDIT: Josephine doesn't have the evil trait so that isn't what made her so combative. The only one in Isla Paradiso series with the evil trait is Meryl and she never gets into fights.

    Meryl001.jpg

She is constantly autonomously going into town to try to find out if various townies are rich and if they are she tries to seduce them as she wants to see the ghost of her wealthy spouse. So far she's had no luck.

The 30 Grandchildren Badge Attempt Episode 37 is now available for you to watch on YouTube.

The couples who are expected to get to know each other with a view to imminent marriage in this episode are Megan and Mark, and Latoya and Lionel.

    Megan-Mark-Lionel-Latoya.jpg

Romance starts out relatively slowly but by the end of the episode they are on the brink of deciding to spend the rest of their lives together. The weddings will be in the next episode.

They visit a few venues around the world of The Great Southern Land by FrogPrincess_q. I added some of my own builds to the world and the sims spend most of their time in my builds but venues that came with the world, or Sims venues from Expansion or Stuff packs are also seen.

You will find them at the Festival Grounds (Sunset Valley Festival Ground), Caroline's Bowling Alley (my own build that may have CC in it so is not in my studio), The Spectral Bakery (my build that was made before I added any CC or mods to my game so is in my Studio on the Exchange), The Bluewaters Fun Park (another of my old builds that is in my studio on the Exchange); 'The Cake Pleasure Dome' (from Katy Perry Sweet Treats Stuff Pack - I added some bakery items to it); 'The Dome' (my build that is packed full of 3rd party Custom Content so will not be going onto the Exchange)

    @Karritz I'm watching your new episode :)

All these lovely imaginary friends are so nice looking!

That's a good idea to keep Bonehilda locked up so she won't scare Bruce!

The bowling looks so fun, I do like the looks of cosmic bowling.

It looks so nice when they start pairing off and get to know each other better with their future life partners!

Wow it was an hour long roller coaster ride! that must be nice, ours here in r/l are so short! (probably to prevent heart attacks!)

Yikes barefooted slow dancing! LOL Oh that first kiss is so cute! I so like watching their times together!

What are all the skills they need to learn before the can marry? I know for sure the cooking gardening and fishing, from past episodes.

I like the Spectral bakery! What a nice job you did on that!

haha I think Mark and Megan might need a basket ball hoop at their new house after they marry!

I love seeing their romance develop, they are so cute!

    I really enjoyed watching! :)
  • KarritzKarritz Posts: 21,918 Member
@DivaDoodle thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

The skills I make them get are just some cooking, hopefully at least to level 3 and regardless of the level they get to I make them read all of the recipes available up to that skill level; fishing to at least level 7 so they can read all of the bait books; and gardening at least to level 7 so they can plant any of the seeds they collect around the world.

My reasoning for making them learn all of this is, even if I don't play them later on in this game, I like to keep my sims and reuse them in other games and it's easier if I don't then have to start training them from scratch. Since I have so many sims in a single household it is quicker to train them all at the same time rather than doing it one at a time.

Expect to see these sims as townies later on in other series based on my Big Game. Currently the Big Game is the setting for the Oscar and Louise stories and also for the McFluff story.
  • DivaDoodleDivaDoodle Posts: 1,858 Member

@Karritz Ah yes I make all of mine learn cooking, too, because it is too sad for me to see them eat burned food! And I make them learn their (and their partner's) favorite food too, because why wouldn't someone know how to make their very favorite?! lol

That will be nice to see some of them in your other series for sure! I look forward to that!

30 Grandchildren Badge Attempt Episode 38 is now available for you to watch on YouTube

    https://youtu.be/rWFRj7LtUrI

I do hope you enjoy it if you get a chance to watch. If you do enjoy it, please remember to give it a like on YouTube. That helps the channel.

In this episode Megan and Latoya continue their romance with their future spouses, Mark and Lionel. We see the happy couples involved in a variety of activities in several different locations including the Dome that I made and it's features in a few of these videos; the festival lot in the Great Southern Land (Sunset Valley festival ground); and a beach.

At the end we see the double wedding in the wedding venue in the Dome. The happy couples then return home to Cake Island II and move into their new homes where they will raise their babies. It's getting close to the time when the 30 grandchildren will begin to arrive. I was just thinking I might have to space out the baby arrivals a bit as the game might crash if 15 sims all have a baby a the same time. I will need to have a think about that.

After Megan and Mark; and Latoya and Lionel move into their new forever homes the final 3 of their unmarried siblings leave for The Great Southern Land and at the end of the video we see Jack and Chris splashing in the ocean with two of the imaginary friends made real, Cameron and Bruce. Obviously Joni couldn't wait to meet her future spouse and she rushes down to the beach and meets him there. And that's the end. Next episode coming up soon.

The couples to meet, romance and marry in episode 39 are Joni and Jack; Constance and Chris; and Kendall and Karen.

A few pics from this episode (Sadly I'm really bad at remembering to take screen shots)

Hi @Karrtiz! How nice to see the continuing romance of Latoya & Lionel and Megan & Mark!

I love seeing all the romance, the sims are just so cute! (EA just did such a good job!)

The will-o wisps look enchanting! and hahaha TY for including the scene of the 2 watching the martial arts with the watchers all worried, looking. I've never seen that before, so funny!

Super cute guy you made, the imaginary friend trying to make the forbidden fruit, his face reminds me of an old classic Disney Prince Charming. You really have the gift of making such interesting and looking sims! :)

Such darling scenes on the beach, on top of the water!!! hahaha And a proposal on top of the water! how Fun! :D

Great wedding! Nice that the concession guy came to watch the wedding as well.

I like Latoya & Lionel's wedding too, he's was already thinking of baby blocks, so cute. btw, I do love to see what they are thinking about! I don't know if I have mentioned that before.

The brides wedding dresses were really beautiful!

Cute houses on Cake Island for the newly weds. They have everything they will need, for sure.

Lovely meeting at the Beach! Great ending of a great video! I really enjoyed watching!🎈🎈🎈

Off topic, I finally have a situation you had with your original Louise, which is making me laugh and laugh. I have a married couple and the husband is continuing his affair with his romantic interest, and the wife doesn't care! 🤷‍♀️🤣 I have never ever had that situation before! Anyway, it made me think of your stories you were telling me about your Oscar and Louise and You with a big fond smile! 😊🤩

@DivaDoodle thank you for all of your comments. I included that martial arts scene because I hadn't seen it before either. I was somewhere else in the world doing something else and popped back to the home lot and saw that going on so had to quickly pause for a bit while I got a suitable camera angle. I'd had something else in mind to do with them but couldn't resist videoing that autonomous scene in action.

It's funny when you get married couples playing up and the partner of one doesn't care. The strangest thing I ever saw was way back when only the base game had been released. I had my Patience working at the science facility and having a bit of a romance with Gobias. Then one day she was out collecting seeds and found Christopher Steen fishing at one of the big ponds in Sunset Valley. Well, she took one look at Christopher and it wasn't long before they were married and having children. But she never seems to have told Gobias and she used to spend the night at his place occasionally. Christopher either didn't know or didn't mind too much. Eventually she had babies with both of them. Then one night Gobias visited her home where she had all the babies and he autonomously got down on one knee and proposed to her. He appeared to beg her to marry him. In the end she had about 6 children and they all had the betrayed moodlet as she was cheating on both of Gobias and Christopher. At that stage the 'no jealousy' lifetime reward wasn't in the game. When it did appear in the game I gave it to her but the children all still hated her. They no longer had the betrayed moodlet but their relationship with her was totally red.

I really do enjoy making those imaginary friends over. My challenge is to not have any two sims look too much alike. Most of my older sims are quite similar. Having custom skins and makeup and hair helps.

The funniest thing my original Louise did was probably a reaction to Oscar's flirting with so many others. But she is a flirt too I think. There was one particular paparazzi she'd try to seduce every time he stood outside their home. In the end he'd arrive for duty and she'd rush out to greet him and he'd turn and run. Unfortunately it wasn't long before a new paparazzi turned up to complete his shift. She was the best at getting rid of that one paparazzi. Eventually he stopped coming at all.

I'm about to record something for the next video. I haven't played any further than was in the video you've just watched. I did something unplanned last night before I shut down the game. I added that evil Klaus Warner to the household and gave him new skin and added a bit of makeup. The makeup was just some bags under his eyes and slightly enlarged pores on his face. He was dancing with Clara at the weddings and now she has the evil trait. I purchased the more expensive brain enhancing machine. It will allow me to fix her traits and have a bit of fun in the video while doing it.

    Happy Simming

EDIT: I thought Klaus Warner might liven things up a bit. First thing he did autonomously when I opened the game today was to 'mastermind plot' with Cameron (the IF made real you liked the look of in the last video). A few of them were still at the wedding dancing and eating cake.

@Karritz Ah interesting that you never saw the martial arts reactions before! that is nice to have a surprise! I am so glad you were able to include it in your video!

Hahaha I love the story of Patience, Gobias and Christopher! I just think it is so funny when we see them do something that we aren't expecting!
Wow! Gobias proposed to a married woman! I would love to see that happen!
Too bad about the children getting the betrayed moodlet, though, very sad well I guess that would be expected. I don't yet have the no jealousy in my game. So it looks like it only works to protect the other lovers from not getting jealous. Thank you for telling me Patience's story! :)

I am so looking forward to Cameron, evil Klaus, Clara and the more expensive brain enhancing machine!
Wonderful pics of the 3! You do such a great job! ;)

    30 Grandchildren Episode 39. I'm getting excited.

In this episode only one of the three new couples go on dates together and they eventually manage to get engaged. The wedding will be early in episode 40.

I added the brain enhancing machine to the household and a couple of sims took advantage of it for their own purposes. Since a lot of the household members will be returning the Cake Island relatively early in episode 40 I decided it was time to operate on Clara's traits and she is finally rid of that annoying unstable trait.

Some of the Imaginary Friends Made Real have wishes to grow a forbidden fruit. So far two of them have planted their forbidden fruit seeds and one of them has picked himself a plant sim baby boy named Jacob. The other, planted by the evil Lucy, will be picked in the next episode. I haven't played forward so have no idea what'll happen when the time comes to pick it.

Evil Klaus, the new household member has begun learning some skills and doing a bit of reading. He seems to be getting along well with a few of the female imaginary friends. I discovered his lifetime wish is Master Romancer so that'll be why he's got an eye for the ladies. I haven't seen any action yet.

There is a mass outing to the casino where most of the machines and the three types of table (poker, blackjack and roulette) are used by various household members.

Jack and Joni spend time exploring the Magic Gnome's Magical Treasure Park. They ride the roller coaster and balloon. They explore a mysterious little building that is full of mirrors and traps and holes in the floor. Jack finds a magic mirror and has a long chat with it while Joni explores the holes in the floor.

There is plenty going on with this episode. I hope you enjoy it.

Episode 40 of The 30 Grandchildren Badge Attempt is now available on YouTube for you to watch.

    https://youtu.be/7qkdXw0I21U

I experimented with this episode and found my experiment worked - I'm so happy about that. This is the first episode available in HD 1080. If you want to view it in High Definition you will probably need to click on the video settings and choose the higher resolution. I think it is a bit brighter than at the SD version that I've always done previously. Please let me know what you think of this improvement.

This episode is set in two worlds. It opens with the sims in The Great Southern Land (TGSL) and we see the household members carrying out various activities including Ice Sculpting; The Scientific Research Station to do Gene Splicing Experiments to convert seeds to Forbidden Fruit Seeds; Gardening; Picking a Plant Sim baby; Sim on Fire; Genie; Bowling Alley; Roller Coaster ride; Arcade Machines.

This episode is about the final 3 of 15 couples of Gerri's family who are destined (required) to produce 30 grandchildren for Gerri.

Each of Gerri's children got an imaginary friend doll at birth.

Cake Island II is an unpopulated world and, to encourage a more lively game, I decided it needed more than the 6 townies I addedat the beginning of the game. I chose to do this by transforming the dolls to real sims with the Imaginary Friend Metamorphium Potion which was made on the chemistry table.

The Imaginary Friends Made Real (IFMR) learn skills and read recipes and fishing bait books before they move out to live as townies in Cake Island II.

In this episode the household includes the final 5 Imaginary Friends Made Real. The IFMR are Clara, Rachael, Lucy, Bruce, and Cameron. Some of the them wish to grow Forbidden Fruit and I grant this wish for some of them.

In this episode you'll see them convert an ordinary seed into a Forbidden Fruit seed, plant the forbidden fruit seed and pick the resulting plant sim baby.

The final three of Gerri's children to meet and marry their future spouses are Joni, Constance and Kendall.

The future spouses were made with traits specifically designed to make them very attractive to the chosen mate. The names of the future spouses begin with the same initial as their future spouse.

In this episode we will see Joni and Jack get married. After the wedding most of the household travels to Cake Island where Joni and Jack move into their own home. Rachael moves out alone, and Cameron moves out with his plant sim baby son, Joseph.

In the previous episode I added an extra sim, the evil Klaus, to the household. He is still learning his skills and reading books. I don't have any clear plans for him. I just wanted a more interesting household than a single sim household while the 30 grandchildren are being born.

Once the 30 Grandchildren start arriving, to have some hope of having the badge awarded, I must stay in Gerri's house. No grandchildren will count towards the 30 needed to get the badge if they were born before I stop activating other households or when I am playing not logged into the Sims 3 site.

By the end of this episode Lucy and Bruce and Clara are still living in Gerri's house in Cake Island. As is Klaus.

After Joni's wedding Joni, Jack, Kendall, Karen, Clara, Rachael, Bruce, Cameron, Joseph and Klaus travelled to Cake Island. Only Constance and Chris have remained in the Great Southern Land.

Eventually Kendall and Karen go on a date and then it is time to return to the Great Southern Land.

They arrive in TGSL and move in with Constance and Chris. Lots of fun and some complications begin. Then we run out of time and the story will continue in Episode 41.

I hope you enjoy the video.

    Happy Simming

I finally did it. The reload of 30 Grandchildren Episode 41 worked and it is available in HD 1080. I think the sound is better as well as the video. The file I load to YouTube is 2 or 3 times the size of the file loaded when the video is restricted to SD. It took me a few days of struggling with it here to finally work out how to export it in HD but now I know how to do it I will continue to do that. I hope. If I remember each time. I forgot this time and had to re-export and re-load it.

Here is the link to the long awaited video.

The final two of Gerri's 15 children get married in this video.

Romance doesn't go smoothly for the couples. I suspect the future spouses have cheating on their minds. But I only suspect this. I don't know if they are totally committed to their partners. Life could get interesting with them if there video series were to continue. But it won't. It'll end once I get the badge or am convinced the badge is not going to be awarded.

In this video Kendall and his future wife, Karen, as well as Constance and her future husband, Chris, are engaged in getting to know each other while deciding if they really want to get married and have babies together. By the end of the video they do go ahead with the ceremonies but I don't think either Karen or Chris are totally committed to their new spouses. You'll see what I mean when you watch the video. I hope you enjoy it.

Here are a few screenshots taken while recording for this video. Not all made it into the video so I suppose some, if not most, are out takes.

    Everyone's favourite maid - Bonehilda
    Bonehilda.jpg
The version of Bonehilda in this game is obsessed with gnomes - she kicks them over and stands them up and kicks them over and stands them up - and so on and on and on...

Constance and Chris. I think she's going to have a bit of trouble with Chris. He might have to keep an eye on her too. Maybe they are perfectly matched.
    Constance-And-Chris.jpg

Constance really wanted to max her sculpting skill. She made an elephant at one stage. This one didn't make it into the video.
    Constance-Elephant.jpg

Of course there must always be dancing if we are going to have the blossoming of sim romance in this series of videos.

Karen reading in the Dome - didn't make it into the video

    Kendall and others
    Kendall-And-Others.jpg

Kendall working on another ice sculpture - you won't see this in the video either.
    Kendall-Ice-Scupture.jpg

Kendall loves to paint. His lifetime wish is about photography. He managed to achieve it.

Kendall likes to paint - as does Karen so they have a few things in common. Their marriage might work.

    Happy Simming All
