In-game Photographer Challenge (takes max 60 minutes)

Grab your camera and read on! I just did this challenge myself and had fun :) B)

This is not a gaming challenge and we won't even see your sim. It should take less than 60 minutes to complete. Please follow the instructions below, but as long as you get a result of 3+3+3 large photos to show us, each rule is not very important. Then we can all guess where your sim were standing (and if you include the extra quest - which of your 9 photos is shot "walk-off landing point".)

1. Your sim needs a camera, the most expensive might be needed in order to take the largest photos.

2. Your sim won't need photo skills to do this, but with adequate skills the challenge will be quicker and more compact. To avoid lots of gnomes feel free to cheat the skill (quality is not important for this challenge. If some of the photos include a gnome - no big deal :) )

3. Your goal is to travel to 3 different community lots in 3 different worlds, where you will get 3 large photos from each. Your sim will only travel and NOT move, so all motifs must be captures from the exact landing point! Afterwards you will gather your photo art on a wall - why not in a café or museum in your game for others to admire?

4. You are free to add the extra "walk-off landing point" challenge - see number 12. So make sure you read all before starting.

5. Your sim should visit all destinations within one day, or let's just say that your sim is not allowed to eat, drink, sleep or use a toilet until the challenge is completed. That should give you limited but enough time :) It's up to you if you prefer daylight or night scenery, but it might be easier for us all to guess the location if there is some daylight.

6. Now, travel to community lot 1 of your choice. Avoid lots that are totally renovated or from the gallery, we will need a small chance to recognize the location. Then we can all try to guess where your sim went. If you adjusted slightly or added some clutter etc, that's okay. Also, make sure that your 3 lots are located in 3 different worlds. If you don't have 3 worlds, then at least use different hoods.

7. The photos can be of anything. The fun part is to look around through the camera without moving. You can look in any direction, zoom, and you can tilt up/down. You will actually find loads of nice motifs that you probably never noticed before. You can use filters if you think that is more your style, but plain will be just fine, too. If your sim is skilled, you can add to the challenge by allowing only 5 photos to be taken on each location (then afterwards select 3 of them). With low skills there is a certain chance of gnomes and thumbs, and you should allow your sim to capture 10-15 photos per location. Remember to take several photos of the same motif if your sim is real bad at photography. If you hang around for a while NPCs will arrive and they might be good models. If you hang around remember to turn off free will - if your sim moves at all, you must travel again...

8. After repeating 6. & 7. on 3 locations, travel back home to sort out your photos. Keep only 3 photos from each location in your sim's inventory.

9. Travel to a museum, gallery or café etc, where there is a wall for your exhibition (or do his at home, up to you). You need only 3-4 floor tiles, and it looks better if the wall is neutral. It's easier to arrange the photos if they are landscape and not portrait, but you can do what you like. Hang your 9 photos on the wall (3 x 3) in random order. Frame them if you like.

10. Take a screenshot of your exhibition wall, click the tab key to enter camera mode to get in the better close up position. Get pretty close - if too far away it will be harder for us to see! Remember to add a ceiling lamp - or add light in Photoshop.

11. Post your final screenshot below. Remember to say whether there is one "walk-off landing point" photo included (see #12). Now we will all guess what lot/hood your sim visited. I'm sure there will be plenty of motifs not revealing much, but knowing there are 3 + 3 + 3 might help us sorting everything out. And hopefully you left in something that can be recognized, not only close ups of your sim's shoes or a NPC's nose :)

12. Now, here is a way to make it a bigger challenge for the viewers. At one destination you allowed your sim to walk a bit off the landing point to find the motif. Not just 2 steps, but more like 20 or more to catch something that can NOT be captured from the landing. You don't need to do this, if you do, please state when you post your gallery wall picture, that there is one walk-off motif, and we might try to find it :)

13. Have fun!
