I'll wait a little more before I vote to see whether they are willing to fix the footwear issues the pack refresh caused for foot massage and yoga.

Feeling neutral. Neither very good improvement nor very bad
If I played mostly female Sims I guess I'd be happy about having even more stuff added for them but I don't. So things like facials, manicures, and pedicures haven't enhanced my game at all. I did look at the fingernails in the game though. Most of the styles are awful. I didn't even look at toenails because my Sims don't show their feet much except in warm weather. Even then I don't get close enough to my Sims or their feet to see details.

I like the mini-fridge and I like having more color options for spa items. It's neat that kids finally have more activities available to them. I haven't played many families that have kids because there wasn't much for a kid to do except talk non-stop. The Spa Day refresh and the recent change with cooking have changed that so I might actually play one of my townie families that have kids. Maybe. OK, probably not.

I'm not interested in the High Maintenance trait or any of the new aspirations with the possible exception of Inner Peace. All of my Sims have some level of Wellness so at least one will test the Inner Peace aspiration. I'm not interested in the aspirations that involve socializing and meeting more potential stalkers.

All in all, the Spa Day refresh is fine. Now fix things connected with the off-the-grid trait. I mean refresh. :)

I think the refresh is alright. As others have posted, the biggest disappointment is the lack of a real career. I also do not really like the new aspiration system. It seems glitchy and does not register/track your progress well. Sometimes the same activity will count towards an aspiration, sometimes not. Especially the self-care specialist aspiration could have tracked the amount of simoleons earned via 'hustling'. I once had some points taken away from my progress, so I got impatient and chose a non-wellness aspiration again. Teaching yoga classes was one of the things I looked forward to the most, but it seems glitchy, too. Before the class starts, the mats are all full but then almost everyone leaves and goes home once the class starts. When you give a class at the park, dogs and townies walk up and talk to the class participants while they do yoga (my cat followed me from home once and sat on the mat during class). I only got paid twice for giving classes, the other times nothing, but unfortunately no pop up window will explain anything so you are left guessing. I don't care too much for pedicures/manicures and as they wear off I usually do cas nails or no nails at all. Usually no nails, as they seem to not fully work still. I don't use the High Maintenance trait. I just don't want my sims to die so quickly. I like the fact that children can do yoga/meditate as it calms them down and raises their emotional control. Overall its alright, but I don't use Spa Day more than before. Plus I already liked it before and always in some way integrate it into my gameplay.

I feel like there could've been a bit more added, but overall I'm happy with it.

Completely satisfied. Theyve done an excellent job!
Spa Day was my first pack ever and I still think it's one of my most used packs, because it's so easy to implement in any family. None of the gameplay objects are really groundbreaking, but it's just relaxing and realistic gameplay. The fancy baths, sauna trips and yoga math in the backyard is in pretty much all of my saves. So I'm happy they put in even more stuff to make this pack even better.

I never really cared for the nails but I accept all new traits and aspirations! That was really lacking from this pack. The aspirations aren't really time-consuming but I like the rewards and I think it fits the pack; it's more of a side-hobby than a lifestyle for a sim. And you can combine them all which is nice.

Also FINALLY we can make money using the skill and objects! I'm really happy with it.
I hope they do Get To Work next to add some traits and aspirations to that one, and Into The Wild (or whatever its called) really needs a bit more gameplay to tie up the whole camping experience.

    NEGATIVE FEEDBACK
    1. Separate skills makes Sims more unique. Wellness skill is to broad skill, weird to learn Massage techniques from doing Yoga.
    A. Yoga + Meditation = Yoga skill 🧘🏽 (Yoga also level up Fitness)
    B. Massage + Acupuncture = Wellness skill 👐
    C. Pedicure + Manicure + Hairdressing = Pampering skill ✂️

    2. No Yoga Teacher career + No control of Yoga teacher NPC role
    A. Add an Athletic instructor career, select specialization (1 or multiple): Yoga / Fitness / Swimming / Soccer / Ice Skating / Basket / etc).
    B. Sims that work as an Athletic instructor & specialized in Yoga will spawn as Yoga teachers at gyms.

    3. Hustle (Aspiration: Self care Specialist) don’t show the amount of collected money.
    A. Change the showed counting, Ex. 1500 / 5000 instead of 0 / 1.

    4. No Massage therapist Career / Pedicure career + No control of these NPC roles

    5. Can’t own & manage a Spa +No opening hours (it’s not so zen to never 💤)

    6. I like the High Maintenance trait but it need more depth
Example: The sim don’t get any negative Moodlets / Sentiments from receiving negative feedback from ex. teaching yoga (“Is this a joke? This class was awful!”).
<3 negative moodlets but I would like to see more of them affected by Interactions / Gameplay

    7. Love the Facial masks but want to see more meaning to them. (Thanks for consequences if having the mask on for too long!)
    A. Sims could get Acne (teens) or Dry / Greasy skin (moodlet +appearance). Use mask to solve the problem.

    8. Add a Toggle on / off for Emotional deaths (what a waste of emotions! I want to experience these emotions instead of avoiding them!).

    9. Aspirations could have more milestones (Challenges! Challenges! Challenges!)

    POSITIVE FEEDBACK
    1. Kids can do yoga & Meditate
    2. Tracksuit for toddler & kids
    3. Moneymaking from wellness activities
    4. Nails & Facial masks
    5. Consequences if having the mask on for to long
    6. New trait with negative moodlets
    7. Collaboration with CC creator (Ebonix nails are A-Ma-Zing!)
    8. Customers giving awful reviews :D
    9. Portable massage tables / chairs
    10. 3 New Aspirations! 👏🏾

@carpe_diem I don't think the high maintenance trait's negative moodlets are that random or not affected by gameplay. There's a moodlet that has a chance to come from cooking and another one that has a chance to come from using a toilet etc. I played a sim with the trait for a couple of days and it worked just like kusurusu described in this thread:
    https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/993765/the-new-high-maintenance-trait-discoveries#
There could be more moodlets, for example from receiving negative feedback like you said, I agree with that

Even some real life males get manicures and pedicures, especially men in professions. Since they have the natural nail color, you might try and see if a mani or pedi could make some of your male sims get positive buffs from it.

@haisin Aha! Thanks for telling me, and thanks for the thread tip!
I really like the "worst day ever", that give some consequences to my horrible sim caretaking... (muhaha!) >:) But I hope they could add more negative moodlets from ex interactions. My sim just started a friendly chat with the custumer (with the usual happy-creepy-sim-smile) after recieving an awful review. 😅

Edit: I would love to see awful review being saved as an Embarrassed Sentiment!

@carpe_diem No problem! Yeah it would make a lot of sense if they reacted to interactions! It kind of breaks the immersion when they don't.

@SheriSim57 That's a nice tip! My high maintenance sim is a professional pianist and he has taken a manicure twice. He likes to do it when his nail breaks

Just discovered 2 big issues with working from home (ex. offering massages) that need to be fixed.

    1. There's no option to lock your doors for customers (It's customers everywhere! Some boundaries plz!)
    2. There's no Send home option on customers (random guy now eating food from my fridge like a creep. You paid for a massage, not free food!)

Feeling mixed emotions about it. I love all the new items that are available from a build/buy perspective and I was able to build a beautiful spa, however its mostly unusable for my sims. The new interactions in my game seem somewhat bugged, for example a simple manicure/pedicure takes multiple (5+) hours to complete. I would definitely enjoy the gameplay more without these issues. Hoping for some updates coming soon to fix these bugs, as I am not sure how to accomplish that on my own.

One thing I was pleased about was the extra yoga class so sims can do yoga without feeling energised/focused/inspired.

One of my sims bought a handful of facemasks but they were locked to the fridge in the spa. Very odd. Also the relaxed moodlet the facemask gave was overridden by the angry moodlet. Not good.

Also, before the refresh, sims approached spa workers for services but now spa workers approach sims. So if your sim is sitting in the sauna then you request a massage, the worker leaves their station and goes to the sauna to speak to your sim.

I have the pack. The refresh added a few things but a lot of the previous version issues are still in this upgrade. it hasn't been much of an upgrade after going through it honestly.

    - You still got sims who won't stay on the bed and complete their massage. instead they want to do something else a few moments before it ends, fail to get the massage buff and waste simoleons in the process.
    - NPC sims are still fighting over the services of npc massage staff.
    - Sims that come to visit or part of the spa staff are always in a bad or mildly bored mood. You shouldn't expect your first experience in the spa to be a bad one because your massage therapist is angry.
    - If you have spa stuff in a gym, the yoga instructor and gym trainer can be given a massage or give a massage, but they are at work, they shouldn't be doing anything of the sort.
    - Sometimes an NPC massager is standing at the chair and once your sim asks for a massage the NPC massager doesn't move and i have to manually reset the sim in order for massager to do their thing the next time i order a massage, also simoleons are wasted.
    - NPC Sims that at taking yoga lessons from an instructor shouldn't distract themselves out of it.
    - NPC sims that mediate shouldn't be aware of what is going on around them since they should be so focused on their mediation. this means if another sim is levitating, the other sims in mediation shouldn't notice them at all.
    - There are times where the spa is still devoid of staff besides the yoga instructor, assuming there is a yoga area with an instructors mat.
    - Sims still don't come in to the spa facility from 10:30pm -5:00am.
    - Sims are not using the massage chairs in gyms.

That's just some of the issues that are still hanging around.

Love it however the nails done at the spa don’t last long enough. One day is ridiculous so for now I’ll just have to add the mod to my game which makes nails last 1 week which is so much better than having to send your sim to the nail salon every other day.
Really hope they patch the refresh to make nails last longer.

Besides that live that we can provide wellness services and that we have face masks.

If they announced spending more time on refreshes than new packs I wouldn't even be mad - refreshes are an excellent idea and I'm really pleased with how this first one turned out. Some of the early packs (and indeed the base game) would/will really benefit from this kind of treatment. Hope to see more of it.

I've not really played any of the new features so I don't feel like I can form much of an opinion about it but I am glad that EA are upgrading some of the existing content and I will be interested to see if they upgrade any of the other packs.
