StrangerVille Problem just found in 2nd play

I decided to try the StrangerVille story with a different household. (I got bored! 😂🤦🏼♂️)
So my Sim used a fruit to revive the mother, set the weirdness to moderate then I switched to a new Sim and gave them the StrangerVille aspiration to solve it.
No one can harvest the fruit when you nurture the bizarre plants. I changed to other households and then even the first Sim who solved the mystery.
Sims can view, taunt, collect a slide but not harvest. Plants used to reset when you traveled but they’re staying ‘open’ with the fruit still showing.
My Sims have to buy bizarre fruit from Erwin’s shop.
As anyone else found this? I’ve repaired my game but it still happens. Everything else seems to be okay.
