*I posted a story update previously in case any of y'all missed it.
So hubby is feeling a bit better after getting on a steroid and antibiotic. There was a light crackling sound in his lungs - like the sound of pop rocks - whenever he exhaled (just before inhaling) so that was a little concerning, but I think the two meds are killing that problem so it doesn't turn into something worse. 👏 (Like Pneumonia...)
COVID is some nasty cr'ap y'all.....and very much real. Stay safe out there.
I hope you are negative but sometimes the test can give the incorrect result.
^Yeah. Hubby tested Negative the first time when he was clearly exposed. He was feeling some light symptoms. Then he was feeling more of the nasty symptoms and that's when the test said Positive. I think it's wise to wait until you have a few of the symptoms before testing so you get an accurate result. (I'll advise that to people I know. )
It's good to know your daughter is ok and that your husband is recovering well.

I think I set anti-aliasing to 4x (or was it 6 or 8?) and I felt it made the edges look more jagged in my game. 🤷♀️ Guess everyone's games are different.

Going to work on deleting a few CC hairs I forgot to get rid of. One has a bald spot in game, but not in CAS, plus a few others don't look as great as I thought they would. I also need to back up my CC after that so I don't lose what I have. I am not sure if I am going to retry the Ultimate Sim Challenge with Cassandra or not yet, but if I do, it may just be my personal save so I can fly through it faster without taking several photos. Still going to try the Jones reboot, but probably going to play a few of the made over households too. So in a way, it'll actually be more of a Sunset Valley story than just the Steel family.
@emorrill I hope your hubby is getting better and you and your daughter stay safe. That doesn't sound too good.

Nah, didn't miss it. It was a great update. Looks as if Maru and Abigail figured out together that one of those couples isn't the real deal. Well, almost. That should give Maru some idea that she doesn't have to cut those special conversations short every single time .

I didn't really play anything. I had spent a lot of time with preparing a particular story setup, but when I started the whole thing, it fell flat. Meh.
Next I wasted time with the question: "What kind of build/buy items does each expansion pack and each stuff pack actually contain?" Well, I made lots with all the stuff (except wallpapers, shrubbery and some huge items) from 11 expansions and the 8 stuff packs I own. It looks like this for the first three expansions:
Yeah, I know, super interesting . Anyway, I have a much better idea of some actual sets I didn't know existed, sets that don't exist and I don't have to search for, and also a few items I had never seen before. Oh well...
Here are some more makeovers and a little bit of gameplay with the Sims I made over.
Bella (Bachelor) Landgraab must have somewhat already had a makeover by me back when I first played this. However, her clothes and hair definitely needed some fixing. I decided to stick with her red color scheme. She is 54 days old, and works as a Lieutenant for the SVPD.
Malcolm Landgraab is 60 days old and works as a report processor. For some reason, he and Bella moved out of the Landgraab Manor and lived in a cheaper house. Blair Wainwright lives at the Manor instead.
When I switched to them, Malcolm and Bella were having an argument because Bella was caught cheating with Brock Keaton. Brock is married to River McIrish, so Bella is lucky River doesn't know. Malcolm ended up divorcing her.
Malcolm "kicked" Bella out of the house after they were divorced. In actuality, I had her move out but she only had money to move to the Pre-Fabulous mobile home/trailer. I guess that'll be part of her storyline when I play her again. I've still got to figure out which families I want to control.
At her new place, she invited Brock Keaton over. I think Brock misunderstood her intention until she asked if they could just be friends. However, Brock got very angry and told her off before leaving. Bella was considered a cheater, but I don't know if she still is or not.
When Michael got the phone call from his sister, he rushed over to be by her side and comfort her. I'm still in-game so there will be another makeover soon.

Doctor Frilander: It looks like our 30 minutes are up, but my suggest
is to be seen by a primary care, if it continues.

Michael: I need help with something....you might not like helping
with it, but I really could use the extra skill.
Francine: What is it?
Michael: Davey, wants me to break into the FIB building and find
out what information they have on the IAA.It also gives me a chance
to take my files back and clear my record.
Francine: I'll help, but I can't tonight...Lamar wants me to moonlight

Next up, we have Monika (Morris) Bunch, an 80 day old witch friend of Emily (Jones) Steel. Monika is married to Ethan Bunch, thus making her Thomas' step-mother. She is still working in the sports career as a starter.
Ethan is a squad leader in the military and is 67 days old. He is the father of Thomas Bunch, the ex-husband of River (McIrish) Keaton, and romantic interests with Tamara Wolff (who is currently married to Thornton).
Ethan decided, like Bella did in my last update, to confess to cheating. Monika was very upset but Ethan apologized and she agreed to stay with him and try to work things out.
Ethan went over to the Wolff household to break things up with Tamara. If you can't tell, she didn't take it very well.
He did one thing right though, he went to visit Thomas and they made progress on their father-son relationship. He took Thomas out to eat later on.
To make up to his wife, Ethan went and bought her a certain elixir. He told her she'd be happy when she learned what it was and what it did.
Monika is now 31 days old and can have a child again if she chooses to do so. Probably if I continue to play them later on, that will be their storyline.
***Sticking with them a bit longer, then moving on to the Wolff's for their makeovers.

Nice interior in the building, it looks a bit cabin-esque (which is a good thing, because cabins are cosy.) But what is that sci-fi looking nuclear power plant like tower on the outside? :P

@Brandontaylor I recognized all those sims without reading their names below. I used to find all sims that weren't my creations an annoyance in the beginning, but I have grown to like them (The Sunset Valley sims) with time, and now they all have a special place in my umm.. somewhere. :P
I just popped in to see if anything was happening. Looks like not much.
I've been working on Episode 36 of the 30 Grandchildren video. It's been a bit of a battle but I'm making very slow progress. It is progress though so I probably can't complain. Just hiding from it right now to try to avoid another crash due to being too ambitious and running out of memory. So far so good it seems.
Still not commenting much. I have a hard time concentrating at the moment, and I need that little bit of concentration left elsewhere. Sorry about that.
@Sprottenham Thanks . That house that incorporates all expansion pack items would probably explode. I had to use four of the largest lots for all the items from expansion packs (could have probably trimmed it down to three), with the stuff packs taking up the remainder of the fourth lot. Despite their name, stuff packs don't actually contain much... stuff .
I briefly considered making houses with just one expansion each, but I soon noticed that only ITF and Pets contain all essentials to make a working household. Late Night and Supernatural come close, but the former lacks a shower or tub and the latter a counter. It's fun to consider why, of all things, it's the Pets expansion that gives us complete kitchen, bathroom and bedroom sets, even different kinds of bedrooms. At least for ITF, the answer is clear.
Heh, having fun at university, I see. Yeah, those pushes to and from class can be overwhelming. And insane sims are often a lot of fun .

I quit my job since I would be needing a drivers license to continue, and its way too expensive
here to take so I said bye-bye, going to look for something else but have one final day tomorrow to go
through.
I'm so excited. I have had my newest married couple return to Cake Island from The Great Southern Land. I settled them into their new homes and activate the main household - the place where they all grew up. My aim is to get it down to a 1 sim household. And it now has only 6 sims living in it. I'm putting the next video together now. Coby and Sharonda went to The Great Southern Land to meet their future spouses, Clarice and Stan. They got married on the same day - almost a double wedding. And then returned to Cake Island.
Gerri will be the final sim in the main household when they start having the 30 babies who will be the 30 Grandchildren. All of her children will have married and moved out to their own homes.
Currently only Gerri, Megan, Latoya, Joni, Constance and Kendall are left. Next episode Megan and Latoya will travel together to The Great Southern Land and they will meet their future spouses there. Lionel and Mark. I will send them home again fairly quickly too as the house in The Great Southern Land is a bit too overcrowded to successfully teach the untrained sims much. I think both Mark and Lionel will need to do more study before they will be able to get married.
I got the two couples who were married in Episode 36 out of the GSL fast because of memory issues. The new Imaginary Friends who I left there barely started learning skills before I had Coby and Clarice; and Sharonda and Stan married and home again.

Next up, we have Monika (Morris) Bunch, an 80 day old witch friend of Emily (Jones) Steel. Monika is married to Ethan Bunch, thus making her Thomas' step-mother. She is still working in the sports career as a starter.
Ethan is a squad leader in the military and is 67 days old. He is the father of Thomas Bunch, the ex-husband of River (McIrish) Keaton, and romantic interests with Tamara Wolff (who is currently married to Thornton).
Ethan decided, like Bella did in my last update, to confess to cheating. Monika was very upset but Ethan apologized and she agreed to stay with him and try to work things out.
Ethan went over to the Wolff household to break things up with Tamara. If you can't tell, she didn't take it very well.
He did one thing right though, he went to visit Thomas and they made progress on their father-son relationship. He took Thomas out to eat later on.
To make up to his wife, Ethan went and bought her a certain elixir. He told her she'd be happy when she learned what it was and what it did.
Monika is now 31 days old and can have a child again if she chooses to do so. Probably if I continue to play them later on, that will be their storyline.

Nice interior in the building, it looks a bit cabin-esque (which is a good thing, because cabins are cosy.) But what is that sci-fi looking nuclear power plant like tower on the outside? :P

@Brandontaylor I recognized all those sims without reading their names below. I used to find all sims that weren't my creations an annoyance in the beginning, but I have grown to like them (The Sunset Valley sims) with time, and now they all have a special place in my umm.. somewhere.

I just popped in to see if anything was happening. Looks like not much.
I've been working on Episode 36 of the 30 Grandchildren video. It's been a bit of a battle but I'm making very slow progress. It is progress though so I probably can't complain. Just hiding from it right now to try to avoid another crash due to being too ambitious and running out of memory. So far so good it seems.

I briefly considered making houses with just one expansion each, but I soon noticed that only ITF and Pets contain all essentials to make a working household. Late Night and Supernatural come close, but the former lacks a shower or tub and the latter a counter. It's fun to consider why, of all things, it's the Pets expansion that gives us complete kitchen, bathroom and bedroom sets, even different kinds of bedrooms. At least for ITF, the answer is clear.
Heh, having fun at university, I see. Yeah, those pushes to and from class can be overwhelming. And insane sims are often a lot of fun

I was trying a few things with my Cronor save, but I don't think that one is salvageable for continued play with the current setup.

I'm so excited. I have had my newest married couple return to Cake Island from The Great Southern Land. I settled them into their new homes and activate the main household - the place where they all grew up. My aim is to get it down to a 1 sim household. And it now has only 6 sims living in it. I'm putting the next video together now. Coby and Sharonda went to The Great Southern Land to meet their future spouses, Clarice and Stan. They got married on the same day - almost a double wedding. And then returned to Cake Island.
Gerri will be the final sim in the main household when they start having the 30 babies who will be the 30 Grandchildren. All of her children will have married and moved out to their own homes.
Currently only Gerri, Megan, Latoya, Joni, Constance and Kendall are left. Next episode Megan and Latoya will travel together to The Great Southern Land and they will meet their future spouses there. Lionel and Mark. I will send them home again fairly quickly too as the house in The Great Southern Land is a bit too overcrowded to successfully teach the untrained sims much. I think both Mark and Lionel will need to do more study before they will be able to get married.
I got the two couples who were married in Episode 36 out of the GSL fast because of memory issues. The new Imaginary Friends who I left there barely started learning skills before I had Coby and Clarice; and Sharonda and Stan married and home again.
