I am going to delete every washbasin in my house !!!

Oh my goodness, my sim must think that the Corona virus is in her Sims worlds too. She is constantly washing her hands. I am seriously going to get the talking toilet that cleans your hands after using it and replace the kitchen basin with a dishwasher. She is obsessed with washing hands :o

Sometimes I don't have any sinks in my homes, stops the constant water drinking lol. Plus, hand washing takes so long! (EA should have shortened hand washing, not eating)

A nice dishwasher will fix things! Or, if they are into recycling, just forget the dishwasher and drag the dishes into the bin - hey presto - lots of recycling to sift through 😁

My Sims are constantly washing their hands or getting glasses of water as well.

I might replace my sinks too. Good idea 💡😎.

What a clever idea, I will do recycling, and you are right lots of water drinking too ;)

In reality, I'm washing my hands in every hour
In my game, my sims also like to wash their hands

I never bother with sinks in my house, ever since I tried the 100 baby challenge and realised it wastes like 10 in game minutes for a tiny hygiene boost. Also drinking water all the time and needing to use the toilet constantly!

My sims don't seem to be waking their hands all the time thankfully but they are drinking endless glasses of water which is super annoying. If you have MCCC you can stop then autonomously doing certain actions. I had to do this once for a sim whose water drinking was especially bad. You can probably do it for hand washing too.

I used to not have sinks in any of my houses, then I discovered the best feature of MCCC. Tuner -> Enable Autonomy Scan -> Exit MCCC. Click sink -> Autonomy scan. Disable any interaction you don't want, like any instance of getting water, washing hands and doing dishes (I always have dishwashers anyway)

My Sims have been washing their hands a lot, but since I'm playing with Cottage Living it makes sense. I mean I just sent them to clean the coops and barn/stable, so I would hope they clean themselves after cleaning that muck!

I did away with sinks back in Sims 1 already, because back then you had to play efficiently. The chain was eat-toilet-shower, but sims insisted on wasting time on washing hands in between. They also insisted on washing their hands after each slice of pizza and that was with Free Will off. That drove me crazy, so no more sinks for my sims.

McTuner, as already mentioned, is a godsend, enabling me to take autonomy off sinks while still being able to include them in my builds for tooth brushing, getting water or aesthetics. (There's also a mod that stops the enforced hand washing for Sims 2, but ironically I discovered that one only this year)
    Currently playing: Castaway Challenge

I queued up things for the Dad in one of my households to take care of. He didn't seem to get around to feeding the Toddler. Instead, I found him in the bathroom still washing his hands? This was never an issue in my game before. For every two steps forward in the fixes, EA takes another step back. Oi!

Oh thank goodness. I have noticed an increase in hand washing recently in my game and I thought maybe I was going crazy. It's nice to know others are experiencing this too. I think I will use MCCC to turn off autonomy for it temporarily.

@mcrudd when you said washbasin I was like what are sims doing with laundry now? And why do you have multiple washbasins in your sims house for washing clothes - how dirty are they getting?

I usually drag mine to the bin or sink if I can catch them early enough!

Put one of these in. It actually turns dishes and trash into money.
(Wish I had one of these in real life :D )

EDIT: Actually, I've been using sinks to "wash hands" a few times in a row for Sims to skip having to waste time on a shower or bath. heh heh! :D:p

I just updated my game. It has become pretty much unplayable.

Every counter top, sink, basin and stove disappeared and I keep getting "Script Call Failed" errors trying to replace the default items. AND, don't try to tell me it is Custom Content doing this, as I can rezz most other things Maxis or CC just counters, sinks or basins, and stoves refuse to rezz.

But at least they got rid of the hand washing bug hahahaha!!!!
