Contemplate Sophie snail statue

I've noticed that there is an option to 'contemplate' the sophie snail statue which is not there during the day and only appears at night. I'm curious about what this option might do... But when I select it, my sim just waves her arm and objects that she cannot do the action, as if there is an obstacle in the way. Anyone managed to successfully contemplate the snail statue? What happens?

I don't have that option. Do you mean the large stone snail in the stone spiral in the Bramblewoods? Do you have mods?

@Auroraskies I don't have that option during the day, it only appears at night for me. I only have MCCC installed right now and it is up to date.

I sent my sim there at 2-3 AM. When did your sim go there? I don't have any mods installed.

That's weird it was definitely there for me at around 2-3am. I think I first saw it at like 9pm or 10pm but I can't remember.

Sent my sim there another night, at 10 PM and stayed till 7 AM and no option to contemplate it, just Search, and then Hide item, and Take Selfie with Sophie. Maybe someone else recognize it. Not sure if it has to do with the focused mood, my sims kept gazing at stars and was inspired.

Only on certain weekdays? Or do you need ro bring some specific item or have a certain skill? It's part of the old cult, isn't it?

Old cult sounds promising.

Made my sim focused, but no option to contemplate. Traits: Animal Enthusiast, Lactose Intolerant, Loves Outdoors, Collector (from aspiration). Thursday night, in spring time.

@Auroraskies @Simmerville I don't know why the option is there. I think it might have popped up at some point after hiding an item under the snail. I thought it was only at night but then I saw the option there at like 9am. I do think that it's probably a glitch, rather than a feature of the game

when you try to make your sim contemplate the snail, they can't do it and just wave their arm.

You could try to go away from the statue, and make the other sim go away as well, there might be a routing error them standing too close, and in the way.

@Auroraskies this was just one occasion on which I tried this. On all the other occasions there were no other sims nearby. And I've tried with my sim standing in different locations. I think maybe the problem is that the bushes around the statue are in the way.

Yeah I've made bug reports for other bugs bit this one seems really minor and doesn't bother me much.

It's worth searching Sophie regularly. I got a death flower from her recently. They can be a pain to get through gameplay.

No mods - I've got the option to contemplate Sophie, but my Sim can't do it. I've tried having her walk to different places around the statue to see if that will allow her to route close enough, but nothing seems to work.

"Contemplate" is an option from being emotionally mindful (SE). My sim who has the moodlet got the option, other sims didn't

It pops up not only on the snail, but on other objects like a bus stop or cross-stitching basket.

They can't reach the bus stop too, of course, and when I click "contemplate" on a basket, they just stand here and think. I suppose it's just another way to help reach "Controlled Emotions" buff.

This is good to know. I don't own SE and I cannot see that contemplate option.
