Here's something that I didn't know, the new gnome that came with the digital bonus content will leave behind seed packets (including oversized seeds) and will move around the lot from time to time. I have no idea if it's just a Cottage Living thing, or if it's because I've got Seasons too. Does anyone know if all the other gnomes do the same thing, even when it's not Harvestfest?
I am playing Cottage Living, and do NOT have Seasons - I'll experiment, and find out.
I renovated the cottage and managed to squeeze another bedroom in, so that my sims could have a baby. My sims don't often have children, but I want to try out all the family activates. I named her Edith.
Sims 4 Wish List:
> Option to toggle on/off random townie generation.
> Turn vacation worlds into residential worlds.
> Option to purchase separate worlds or a world pack.
I thought this was cute - the chicken hatched when my sim Maia was in labor, so their child and the chicken will have the same birthday! Sorry for the dark pic, it was early in the morning.
Allons-y!
---> Afterlife Game Pack Idea - improved ghosts, cemeteries and funerals, psychics, new skills, new career and more! <---
I played for a while in an alternate save with the main family in Evergreen Harbor, utilizing a little bit of both packs for funzies. I added just a few things to my active families lot but I wanted the chickens the most and it seemed appropriate for a quasi-self sustainable homestead. I have to say despite the odd glitches that came with the patch, the game play and items are on point and enjoyable. I love chickens in real life and have had a few as pets. These are pretty close to the real thing, except mine would ride on my bicycle's handlebars and I cruised around.
Such a cute little thing, so glad they didn't do low poly critters like in other items. 07-25-21_8-34-28 PM by Wendy W, on Flickr
So glad the chickens wander willy-nilly wherever they wish, I think it's funny when they wander in the house. 07-25-21_8-33-41 PM by Wendy W, on Flickr
Chicken cuddles are sweet. Just a sim and his chicken~ 07-25-21_5-24-12 PM by Wendy W, on Flickr
I am absolutely in love with CL aesthetics and the animals
Since I am still waiting for some mods to be updated to be able to play my main save in the meanwhile I created a new sim - Lily Moony who lives near the waterfall in Henford on Bagley. She is the daughter of the Elven mage Oak and hobbit Pippa. There is always so much to do around her cottage with tending to all of her animals, beekeeping, gardening and keeping the house somehow tidy while living on the off grid & simple life lot. Lily has barely time for her two hobbies - flower arranging and cross-stitching, let alone going out of town and meeting other people. She would love to one day meet someone who would help her around the farm and fall in love, but so far she is happy being surrounded by all her animal friends and occasional visits from her parents who live nearby, but understand their daughter’s wish to live her life the way she wants. Her father still hopes she will one day develop magic abilities and be the successor of their bloodline.
I have been playing Lily for about 20 sim days and oh boy did she go through a lot XD From constantly feeling exhausted and not being able to keep up with house chores resulting in her getting tuberculosis ( Deadly Dickensian Sicknesses mod) to setting her cottage on fire at least 3 times and being constantly broke XD
She only earns money by selling her llama’s wool, honey, half of her gardening crops (she keeps half of it for herself) and occasionally eggs.
Love the pictures. I finally got a chance to play today. I jumped in and started playing with the Watson Family. Not the best choice to start with when wanting to just explore the pack.
It was very hard to manage the family while trying to get into some of the new game play and explore the world. The reason being is that it stormed the entire time I played which is about 3 sim days. But I wanted to share some pics.
Love the aesthetics. The Field here.
The Gate here with a bus stop.
Had the family do some activities together to pass the rainy day away. I can already tell this family has its fair share of troubles.
Finally stopped raining for a brief moment and caught a rainbow.
Took a couple of them to go out and explore while Thomas worked on growing his garden.
And then it began to thunderstorm again... So I'm exiting the game, taking a breather and I'll go update my mods and jump into my Decades Challenge when I get back to playing.
Keep the pics coming. I love looking at them and seeing what others are doing in their game. It also helps pass the time by until I can play again.

This random old dude came out of nowhere and just started yelling at my dog. lol

My sims downgraded to a smaller house, but it's so cozy.
I enjoyed watching the hens and the rooster.
And fishing down by the mill:
My CoL sim Catherine Weston (no relation to the Watson Family) milking her and her girlfriend's cow Bess.

Our cat sleeping in the lettuce patch.
They were having a chat.
This is such a pretty world!!
I finally had a rabbit hopping into my home!
Thick!
Kudos to the team for giving kids so much to do with this pack. I'm genuinely (and pleasantly) surprised.
Well it's a work in progress but I've found a workaround for the very stupid choice of not giving us swimmable ponds.
OH, THE BUNNYYYY!! OH, THE KITTYYYY!! OH, THE CONVERSATIONNNN!!
The little chick is sooo cute, and is so is the bunny! The "Thick!" made me laugh.

The world is so pretty!
I love clouds in HoB. They're so beautiful and unique. Miyazaki style.
This is how the American farm looks. The music was still playing while the McFreely family are doing their farming activities.
Over the hills and far away, Simletubbies come to play.
Thought Sulani was one of the most beautiful worlds, but Henford really blowing me away.

Rooster set the foxes tail on fire!
A cute moment.
