But as always I am not holding my breath. I'm hoping it's good! I always want the packs to be good! But I've been burned quite a few times now the past few years with this game... So I'll wait to see the livestream to make my final decision. It looks good! But I've learned to not get my hopes up.
I totally get you and feel the exact same way haha While The Sims 4 isn't my favorite and I have a lot of issues with it, it doesn't mean I want it to fail. I want each new release to be amazing but the track record is just, not good...
My biggest concern is how the cows and llamas are going to work. Those little stone buildings/stables with the blacked out doorway clearly aren't actual buildings so my guess is the animals are tied to them. This in and of itself isn't a a problem it's just that they have a very specific aesthetic. My bigger worry is that in all the clips it appears that there are two of those buildings placed whenever the sims are interacting with two animals, I really hope it isn't a one animal per building type of a deal so that if you want five cows you have to place down five separate stables?!
I think they cows and llamas will be objects and you'll have to have 1 stable per animal. That's just what I'm gathering. And I agree, the buildings are a very specific style so they will most likely look out of place in most other worlds.
1.40 in the vid looks kinda fairie to me... reddish/orange skin, green hair, best quality in whatevers on his table or he is representing a veggie himself and theyre just being funny here ...I mean come on
Well this does look to have potential. I'm not expecting a lot given past content but I do think it looks like it has better content than say Snowy Escape (liked the aesthetic but gameplay in that pack..eeeh)
Think I'd be happy getting this pack (when it's reduced, don't buy full price..which is why I wish it was out sooner lol), my kind of aesthetic as well.
Looks good, I will be watching this pack as a great modder has just released his own farming pack (with horses)
I will get this though I do hope it's not buggy and some of the gardening bugs get fixed in the patch before this expansion
I think it looks good. I'm wondering if we will see people wonder why we don't got any horses...
I'm not so sure about the buy by september 2nd and you will get three additional items. It's kinda like a pre-order but not really because it's available for a month after release. It doesn't mix well with them releasing their packs with bugs where we have to wait months for them to be fixed, I still have trouble with my plants reverting to dirt piles.
This bit gives the trailer a bitter taste in my mouth. I usually have to wait for a sale and now I get punished for that? I hate time limited content. This is urging people to buy things sooner than they may have planned. I really like the look of that bike but is it worth paying 20€ extra by not waiting for a sale?
Yeah I dunno... It's not uncommon to see games throw in pre-order bonuses and special editions. You probably have to wait quite long for this pack to be 50% off. I usually think that people who want these special editions and pre order bonuses kinda want to play the new content early anyway. I know they do this to drive up sales though.
I love it. The world looks pretty and I love the animals. Children were able to help with cooking and it seemed like even toddlers are able to interact with animals.
! I think the trailer looked great but so did the trailer for Dream Home Decorator.
have to disagree there cause home decorator trailer was annoying at very best and this was pure bliss
no annoying voice overs
Let me correct myself haha I hate the voice overs and am happy they got rid of it for this trailer haha I just mean with DHD I remember watching the trailer and thinking, "oh this looks interesting and I like the objects and such" and it at least caught my attention haha
They knew how to hook me...show me Peter Rabbit and get me thinking about his quaint little home and how idyllic it is. I'm not even that interested in farming, but I'm so glad they went with the English version and not the American version because I love the look and how charming it is. This may be the first time I don't immediately bulldoze everything and this may be my new main hood.

It is nice to see that children and toddlers weren't completely left out in the dark. and I didn't even clue into the child cooking haha I've always wished they would bring back the little baking oven from The Sims 2 for children to learn to cook. I think the skills in The Sims 4 were poorly implemented.
Oh, my gosh, this has put me over the moon. Everything looks so quaint and adorable! Mrs. Crumplebottom, how we have missed thee! And bunnehs! And llamas and chickens and cows and foxes! This might be the first ever pack I buy on release day. I just hope they fix gardening because otherwise it's going to be rather problematic, but I might not even care because of all those animals.
I am impressed so far. Time will tell, but it appears like we’re getting a lot of new content from the trailer and info provided to this point.
Cows, llamas, bunnies, foxes, and chickens! 5 types of animals is more than I expected and I love the inclusion of llamas. They’re synonymous with the sims so it is exciting to see them in game.
It looks like there are some other significant additions including needlepoint, children being able to cook and garden, and what looks like a pond tool perhaps? Swimmable water too. Sounds like a bit of a gardening and cooking overhaul perhaps and grocery delivery!
Curious what types of cross-pack compatibility we’ll see. Llamas wearing knitted clothes and presumably producing wool would make me think there has to be some connection to nifty knitting…
I’m quite excited based on the early info. Hopefully the delivery of these features will live up to their potential.
Also, to OP I agree with what you’re saying about country kitchen; however, you can tell from the trailer that the pack does include a new kitchen set as well, so I’m actually okay with that. If there was no kitchen set and you had to buy country kitchen to get a set that obviously matches this theme I think I’d be more annoyed.

Oh I would be fuming if they expected you to buy the Country Kitchen Kit instead of including a kitchen haha
I still see the Kits turning into DLC for DLC though with this new expansion.
On the one hand, I adore princess-y vibes. On the other hand, I have this weird reaction to the actual farm work thanks to how I grew up. You may call it a...traumatic trigger of sorts.
But those purchase-within-a-timeframe items are sooooo cute. CRUSINGS BE UPON YOU EA/MAXIS FOR A FOOL AND HER WALLET ARE SOON PARTED. (still giving it a month for bugs)

It looks like there is a new kitchen set in this screenshot. So I think that's included.

Well, I had to wait half a year for Island Living and eco lifestyle to go 50%off. The earliest origin 50%sale always beats the ones in stores in my country. They can hardly wait even longer for this one.
Perhaps I will do a bundle, I'm glad I held off from buying paranormal so I can bundle it.

I quite enjoy the gardening when it isn’t broken. I’m very much hoping this pack will have inspired them to fix it finally.

content and more content
I'm excited for this one
but yes i was actually wondering if it was country kitchen kit cause putting that in ep trailer would be..yikes
but i won't mind if its just similar kitchen cause well i didnt get the kit soooo
bonus content thing tho.. i wish they didnt do that because i dont like the items that you can get only once and never again
im sure there will be simmers who are sad cause they couldnt get the pack around release and hence cant have those items
and even if you get those items using them in gallery builds gonna be annoying

Only a few of my sims might live it, but it will be nice to have another world.

But... Llamas and rainbow cows.

I feel the same.
