In these two years happened too much to write it all down here. So, just a few things here.
In 1948 it became clear, that Germany was going to divide in into two countries and could become one future battlefield between east and west. So, the west-german politicans were urged more than ever to start with the transition process, and they gave in because of the fear for the sowjet communism. Two currencies were establish in 1948, to marked the divide process, cut the savings again for all, second currency until then were cigarettes. The Berlin Blockade of 1948 remains unforgetable (at least for us berlin citizens), and change the view of the western soldiers in their occupation zones in a very positiv way, it was a battle about to win the hearts of the germans too, they were still seen as enemies but the normal soldiers had already fraternized with them. The airplanes, who helped the westberlin citizen to survive the blockade, were called Rosinenbomber or raison/candy bombers in english, because the pilots threw out little packages of sweets, when they landed on the airports, which had the waiting children picked up immediatly. In 1949 the two Germanies announce the independence, but it was not the full independence yet. West Germany didn't except the divison and did not acknowledge eastern state of Germany.
Hans felt under heavy pressure and started to have an unhealthy lifestyle. He worked very hard, but with the things returned to normal, old social norms came back too. He had already everything what a man should have done in his life. He had a beautiful wife and two children, third was in progress, he has a secure job, own a house and he had planted an apple tree too. He loved the adventure, but where was it gone?
He tried to be a good father.
In 1948 his second child was born, the little girl Erika.
They had celebrate christmas almost like in earlier times.
But where was the adventure he loves so much? When a fire broke out where he was, he felt the adrenaline in his venes and he loved it (it was literally the meme "this is fine", I had to told him to leave the building.)
And then there are the young females who are very friendly and listened to him.
He felt flattered and somethimes he gave in to have some nice hours, but he didn't told it to his wife, who was always tired and was always be busy with doing the household and motherly duties and therefore didn't much pay attention to his needs. He has his little adventure, his little love affair, but for what price?
In the 1950 the living life for the teenagers got worse, with the upcoming wealth and normality the parent remember the morality and duties and therefore they educated their children stricter again, seperated them between boys and girls, don't allowed simple meetings and dates or overnight stays. It was a generation who were more or less raised alone in war and ruins and now they have to obey. Dancing (in dance schools) was the only way for both genders to meet and touch each other. And that's one the reason why I'm so frustated. Not having couple dance ingame reminds me on this prudish decade .
Struggling Hans found direction with the chancellor Adenauer who proclaims the old traditions, how a german has to deal with his life, so he stopped his love affair and worked harder then ever in his job now, for his family, but he still feels guilty for his failure. Big topic in this year was the re-introduction of compulsory military service. The german society was deeply against it (the opinion was united with no war again and they didn't want their men could die for a foreign power, and the allied high coucil was against it too, but change their mind with the start of the korean war. Adenauer was a strict against communism and wanted to tied the relation stricter to the western nations, during the gdr did the same for the sowjet. There is still the battle of two systems, and the german opinion was ambivalent in this case.
On Sunday a family should go out and make a trip together.
My family decided to go into the park. Holger was excited, while Erika was more interested in the sandwich. Babyboy Toni was born in 1950, so just imagine him in his stroller, too.
Annemarie watched over the children, while Hans has played chess for a little bit.
I think, the children would like to tell me something, or why they are so morbid?
Okay it's just Holger, who was hungry.
Hans took both kids to the nearest picnic area , where Annemarie has already prepared the meal.
Later in the evening it's time for a goodnight story, dad's duty.
Holger has a nightmare.
On normal weekdays kids should play outside.
The father comes late at home, because of the long working hours.
Hans offers Annemarie a shopping trip for new clothes, she is excited.
@Kellogg_J_Kellogg I think I'm going to concentrate on the life in the FRG and will strife the gdr from time to time when history happened.
The reasons why I'm doing this I put under the spoiler.
One reason is it happened more in Westgermany which it's good for storytelling. While east germany was more quiet during its 40 years of existence, with exceptions of course. The main reason is that the build and buy mode in sims doesn't offer me things which I could use to rebuild this part of germany. Since this is also a niche product I can't expect something in the similar in this direction or even cc. So I don't try to force myself to do something which is impossible to rebuild and which would make me unhappy as a perfectionist. The FRG was nearer to the american and french style.
I've tried to rebuild an apartment with the gdr look but failed utterly. I wanted an apartment in the 1960/1970s style, but in the end I could say it was more the late 80's.
These are the picture I've posted already in the other thread. It should be a living room and it cost me over 4 hours to build it. I've tried to rebuild the iconic kitchen window, but all I got was the black shadows.
Here are some ressorces I've used for the inspiration, unfortunately it's all in german and but you can see why I have failed, although I had really wish I could play this part, but however it's impossible and I tend not to mourn long about lost things of the past and rather except other opportunities.
West Germany gain more Independence from the Allied Control Council, with the results that more amnesty were spoken out for former regime members, which the gdr condemned, while they made show trials on juveniles on return.
Shopping time for Annemarie. A brand new store has open.
After she has found a new dress she went to the hairdressing salon, next door. There she read the latest news about Soraya, the persian empress. Soraya had a german mother and her father was the persian ambassador to germany and she married in 1951 the persian emperor. The yellow press loves stories about royals, and since she had german blood she was all over in the news.
Then she became hungry and went in to the next coffee house to eat something and where she meet her friend.
On another day Hans visited the bowling alley. Well his bowling skills aren't impressive, but he will learn it, since there is no couple dance.
Sad news, it's time to say goodbye to John Clarkson, the hero for Mathilde (Aunt of Hans).
In 1952 the European Coal and Steel Community come into effect, one goal was to burried the century old enmity between France and Germany. The Sovjet Union was against it and offered the reunification for the price of neutrality, which was declined by the ruling goverment of westgermany. In eastgermany the ruling party had decided to building socialism after a plan, which had lead to the uprising of 1953, with a unknown death toll. The 17th June of 1953 became the national holiday for Westgermany in the aftermath and is now a public holiday in my game.
Hans had to repair the doll house, becaus one of the children had destroyed whil I have visited them with my other family.
The toddlers are excited, because is christmas time.
Look at these gifts.
Then it's time for opening these gifts. At first Erika, then Holger and Toni.
After the kids were brought to bed, Hans and Annemarie celebrate christmas privatly.
Hans tells a story from the book.
Autonomous hugs and a pregnant Annemarie.
Holger has his Birthday.
It's time again for family pictures. I had to stopped, because Erika became hangry.
The attic was renovated, and you see a heavy pregnant Annemarie.
Toni is a wild toddler, but he loves his mama.
Welcome Alexander Kaufmann, he was born in 1953 and was named after the famous Austrian artist Peter Alexander.
Holger has met a new friend and joint the pathfinder, despite this organisation wasn't big in germany and was seen critical.
I'm back from my break. This game became quite busy with all these children, so I barely did good pictures in these 24 sim days.
A little bit of background story. In 1954 the Miracle of Bern happened, where Westgermany won the 1954 FIFA World Cup Final surprisingly. This success help the citizen to a better connection with the young democratic westgermany and restored some faith for the future. Also the Nutrition status became pre-war-like, but also something happened which we called in german Fresswelle (eating wave) and the germany citizen became overweight, which was a sign of wealth in those years. The game support this and my sims got thicker in the game.
1954/1955 - the treaty of Paris brought back souveranity (except for Berlin and a few other cases) and ended the Allied occupation. Also the West European Union was founded.
1955 Return of the last tenthousand prisoners of war (sovjet union), many of them has trouble with this new life and became criminal or died early from the hunger years. Since the dices made no longtime prisoners of war in my game, I ignore this event. Hallstein-Doctrin became alive, basically it means no treaty when recognize officially eastgermany.
1956 Referendum of Saar. This brought back the Saarland to Germany in 1957.
Toni, a wild boy and troublemaker, explored the garden.
Annemarie stroked a lightning bolt, but she survived, luckely she was not pregant at this moment.
Little Erica had her birthday. Since she did look like a bookworm, she received this trait from me.
Pictures from the family life.
Grandpa Wilhelm came to visit.
Holger played with his friends.
1956 Toni has his birthday, as a wild boy he received the active trait.
Christmas in 1956 had a big surprise for all, the family bought a television, which was quite expensive compared to today, I think it had the price of 2 or 3 monthly salary.
During the post war years, the houses needed to be built fast, but they lack of good quality material, which will revenge in the later years.
I didn't count how many time this toilet was already broken.
Annemarie and Hans have now 5 Children (1 girl and 4 boys) and the next child is already produced.
I have to confess first, that I was just playing my challenge and suddenly I've reached the 1960s.
1957
Two noteworthy events happened, one is the well-known Sputnik and the beginning of a new era. The other one is more a local scandal. It was the murder of Rosemarie Nitribitt. Her clients were the who is who in the society, and of course there was no interest to find out the truth in due of her lifestyle.
1958 marked the beginning of the end of the mining industry in Germany, many thousand jobs will be killed in the future. Elvis Presley did his military service in Germany. The ration cards in the GDR were abolished.
1959 from Wikipedia: The German government rejects the Soviet proposal to form a Free City of West Berlin, to recognize the GDR and to enter into a confederation with it, later known as the Berlin-Question.
1960 Many important things happened worldwide, but nothing really noteworthy for Germany (from my personal view).
In 1957 the family is still growing and the old house became too small, so Hans decided to move to the countryside and bought an old and abandon farm, which he wanted to renovate.
The whole family mourn about two losses.
Elisabeth Goldschmidt nee Kaufmann (first sister of Wilhelm) died at home peacefully.
Günther Munch, unofficial husband of Hedwig, died unfortunately off-screen.
During the gameplay Annemarie has given birth to two boys and Holger and Erika became teenager.
I was really pleasantly surprised with her first look. It fits perfect
The farm renovation and raising the childen eats much money, so Annemarie decided to take a job in room renovation from time to time, in her first two gigs she was successful, and the clients loved what she did for the unborn child of the client.
Meanwhile Holger took his first steps in exploring the other gender. The Youth club is a meeting point for kids and teenagers.
First meeting with the parents.
A new interesting girl.
Well, time for the Talk again, same result and reaction like in the earlier generations.
One thing of note to happen in Germany in 1960...Five young men from Liverpool, UK, arrive in Hamburg to play their brand of rock n' roll in the Star Club. They've changed their name from The Quarrymen to Johnny & The Moondogs to The Silver Beetles but pretty soon they'll change their name again...
@Kellogg_J_Kellogg
Duh, I totally forgot this Band. How shameful. And I already did poster on the wall in the children rooms. Thank you for the reminder.
In 1961 too much happened to write it all down or even to shortened it. Most important thing was for Germany the build of the Berlin Wall which cemented the division between both states for next 28 years. It causes a lot of tears, separation and drama between families, in the end it stabilized the eastern state. Right before, the people started to flew and moved to the western state, meanwhile the west citizens and worker visited the east side and bought the cheap food. The western alliance saw nothing wrong with the wall and kept silence, which disappointed many germans.
In 1962 the cuban missile crisis (german: Kubakrise) kept the world in suspense, like the Spiegel affair in Germany later that year.
During both years I reorganized many households and reduced the number back to lower than eight. Back to the family.
The talk again, sigh ... I wonder if it will ever not be embarrassing for both?
Holger has learnt to play guitar.
When Hans and Annemarie went on a short trip, both teenager took the chance and started a party with their friend at home.
Although Erika rather prefered the youth club.
Where she met her newest pal and she got quite jealous about her style.
In 1961 the last child of Annemarie was born, her name is Sabine. Sabine was the name of my first doll and was quite popular name in the 1960's.
In June 1961 the "pill" was introduced in Germany and was prescribed only to married women over 30 years and who have born at least 3 -4 children yet. Annemarie fell in this category and that's the reason why I changed the household size from 12 back to 8.
But with a new life born, another (or more) life ended. I have to confess I was really sad in these days.
Luisa Kaufmann, belove wife of Wilhelm and mother of Hans died.
Helene Kaufmann, wife of the late Karl, brother of wilhelm died too.
The sad new spread around and broke the hearts of Lusias triplet sisters. Fun fact, I had my first alien abduction in the game here. The aliens took one of the husband. It didn't prevent him from death, I let their husbands die too.
With much sadness I saw that Mathilde had only 8 simday to live. So I decided to let visited her her brother. She felt her age and strangeness to the next generation.
When meeting her older brother she felt revitalized, (okay I could let her die and give her a few more years.)
and Wilhelm was so happy when he saw her again.
In the end Mathilde moved to her brothers home and was much welcomed there.
Toni became a teenager in 1962.
Sabine became a toddler.
The last time with a bunch of toddlers.
Back to Erika, she is going to be my next heir.
She is a little bit insane, and has to deal with intense emotions
She like to be away from her family and stay with her friends.
Having fun on the party and came home too late. Her parents were angry.
The today-known fitness clubs started in 1961 in the usa and spread fast around.
Erika wanted to look like her friend and started a diet.
Slowly but steady the times are changing. University students started nore and more to protest against the opressive politics and against the silence and unpunishing of the war crimes. It happened also the catastrophe ans miracle of Lengede, the legendary and well remembered speech of JFK in West-Berlin months before he got murdered. And a short comedy sketch was recorded in front of a live audience: Dinner for One. Watching this sketch on tv on new years eve became a beloved tradition in germany and in other countries too.
Sabine enjoys the story time with Hans and playing together with her older brothers.
Meanwhile Holger and Erika entered the rebellious phase.
Holger let grow his hair to look like the Beatles and playing guitar.
Then New Year's Eve, Except the two oldest siblings the family celebrated together. Meanwhile Holger and Erika celebrated together with their friends, with unexpected consequences.
Well I've written that Erika entered the rebellious phase. This phase is a little bit unusual.
She has met a friend who is interested in the occult and spiritual world. She convinced her friend to practise magic and talking to the death, which does Erika fascinated, because it gives her the some kind of inner peace.
They promise each other to keep this as secret. She learned eagerly and absorbed every information she could get, which is quite difficult at this time.
And one day she felt a warm light around her.
I had a conversation with a German friend of mine about British comedy and he mentioned "Dinner For One". I said I'd never heard of it and he said "oh come on, Dinner For One! It's a short British comedy film which we watch every Christmas time in Germany. It's like the most popular British comedy in Germany ever!"
I said, "no, not heard of it" so he found a copy on YouTube, we watched it and it was great. The two British actors were mainly theatre performers and this was a routine they did on stage but it was never filmed in the UK...they were asked by a German TV network to perform it. Hardly anyone in their home country had heard of these two and yet it's gone on to be officially recognised as the most broadcast TV show in world television history! And it STILL has never had a UK television screening!
@Kellogg_J_Kellogg Yes, that's true. I've heard from a club in England who try to change it. The actor itself didn't like the Germans (to be fair, he was not the only one), that why he insisted to play the comedy act in english and not in german and that's the reason why it started with a german explanation at the beginning.
1964
In 1964 the GDR allowed their seniors to visit their relatives in West-Germany. On the boarders heartfelt scenes were seen. In return at the end of the year, a forced exchange of currency was introduced in order to obtain foreign currency. This last until the end of the GDR.
The smell of the sixties. Erika is practising her magic skills.
One public holiday, the family made a trip to a maze.
In the evening Erika met her friends again.
With so many children in the family, every week one child has its birthday. I think, this is Thomas, but I don't know it anymore, sorry.
Holger is now and young adult, but even without being in school (ingame) he is expected to developed his skills. He is going to take over the farm.
Hans and Annemarie enjoy the moment, to be without the kids.
Erika made a diet, with some success, as you can see her on the roller skates.
Grandpa Wilhelm came to a visit.
Holger has found a girlfriend.
During the summer vacations Hans and Annemarie visted an american diner with their younger children (no teenagers, they where at their youth club and toddler ... for reasons).
Waiting time...
The kids were excited.
The inglorious end, Annemarie had suffer from a food poisoning.
I've been rushed through the years 1965 and 1966, until my heiress Erika was officially old enough to move out and starts finally her own life. In due of some struggles in real life, I don't have the patient to play such big family right now.
1965: I want to mention one important event that happened in this year, the Letter of Reconciliation of the Polish Bishops to the German Bishops, which was a very important milestone for the restart of a better relationship between Germany (both states) and Poland. The communist regime fought heavy against this letter. One of the supporter was Karol Wojtyła, the later pope John Paul II, who is still high appreciated in Poland in these days.
1966: On a given occasion for EM 2020 (2021) although I'm not a soccer fan, in 1966 FIFA World Cup: England vs. Germany and the heavy disputed given goal for England where England won their first and only ever title.
1965 - early 1967
Holger mad a proposal to his girlfriend which she accepted.
During this time we had several birthdays to celebrate
Erika became a young adult, but I had to leave her at home until she made when 19 years old, her Abitur, which is needed if you want to study on a university.
Erika has also several family duties, especially taking care of her younger siblings.
She wants to be a writer, so she is typing a lot of her stories down.
Erika has learnt how to do yoga and loved celebrating with her friends.
She had also the duty to decorate the Christmas tree.
It was also a sad time for the family because the brothers of Wilhelm, Otto and Gottfried, died.
Otto
Maria Kaufmann mourns on the grave of Gottfried.
Sabine the youngest child of Hans enjoyed to have now the full attention from her mom and other helpers.
But she has to learn how to deal with disappointment.
Erika has got accepted to the university and saying good by to mom and dad.
Then it was time to move out and move in to the home of her best friend Lotte.
Background:
It was a big year, I try to keep it short. The student turmoil has almost reached the peak. They've protested against the "Notstandsgesetze" by the great coalition between CDU and SPD, it was seen as like as the Ermächtigungsgesetz from1933, they demanded a real denazification (to bring the perpetators from 12 years regime (stupid filter) to the court) in the society and they've portest against the vietnam war and capitalism. At this time almost no oppoistion existed (beside a small third party), so the ruling parties could do what ever they wanted. The Außerpalarmentarische Opposition became radicalized and divided in several branches later.
Also many student began to see the old family model as nucleus to fascism and breakup of the Springer-media, which made a smear campaign against the students. The death of Benno Ohnesorg, who was shot in the head from behind by a policeman during the visit of the persian shar. Although it was a clear that it wasn't self-defense, the policeman was not accused.
Well, not all student protests, Erika rather did what every other german student did after the school ended. She's travelled around the world. She and her friend have got an invitation to the grandpa Wilhelm. Wilhelm was excited to spent some time with his granddaughter.
She likes to make new friends
And try new things
She did not tolerate it well.
She enjoyed the relaxing times.
A few weeks later the university started.
But there are too many new things to discover.
She and her friends supported her brother during his performance.
Meanwhile Wilhelm spent his time in memories of the past the good ones and the sad ones.
Rest in peace Wilhelm Kaufmann (1890-1967).
You were my little baby. I will miss you.
Hans came too late.
After the funeral Hans visited his sisters, which he had not seen for a long time.
The 1968 marked the the peak off the student protest and a generation in germany is named after that year. The death of Rudi Dutschke, who was shot after a smear campaign of the Bild-Zeitung, which is still a horrible newspaper (on twitter a foul language hashtag is regulary in the trends which told them to shut up their mouth), made them divide them in several branches, some were going to left and right terrorism. The Notstandsgesetze were launched. The sexual revolution was made to shock the conservative society. During this time the students had heavy street fights with the police. They fought against the captitalism, almost against everything which was considered as normal for the older generation. Today it is discussed how much influence the 1968 students really had have, because almost none of their goals was reached, but somehow they had an impact to the next decades.
The Parents of Erika were longing for their little daughter, Erika made a visit.
A students life
writing
learning and meditating
earn some money, because they are on bugdet
watching news and have a lot of discussions
Lotte wanted to discuss about social (left) politics. It turns out, Erika is conservative. Okay, I'm going this route with her.
Erika met Fabian Koch in the library.
They understood each other very quickly and had the same point of view.
Erika shared the news to Lotte.
They had a date in an italian restaurant. He was the right man for Erika.
Aww, the first kiss.
Meanwhile,
Lotte fell in love with Ingeborg.
And a couple of months later, they made their coming-out. It was a weird situation for them, their love was not welcome in the society, but not forbidden by law, in contrast to the gay love.
So, Erika was dreaming and stitching, ...
while Lotte stood up for nature and equal rights and against capitalism.
For this exciting year with many important things happened, I surprisingly did only a handful pictures. This is because, the University play is a little bit boring, if you do this for the third time. Behind all this studying you have bearly time for something other time consuming activities.
A big topic was of course the moon landing. Willy Brandt became chancellor and said goodbye to the Hallstein-Doctrine and started a new relationship to the eastern countries (Ostpolitik). The Berlin Television Tower was opened which is still today the highest build in my hometown and very popular to tourists. Homosexuality between wasn't forbidden to adults anymore. And at last, Germany had got their first female Ambassador Ellinor von Puttkamer. Times are truly changing!
The political disagreement got worse between Lotte and Erika. I don't know why, but the insane trait let Erika yell, insult and other mean interaction Lotte very often.
She was so angry and needed to calm down.
But Christmas they celebrate together.
Erika try to meditate too, and somethimes she is able to levitate but fell down very often.
One the last day in 1969 Mathilde Clarkson died. It was time to let her go. Originally she died on christmas day off screen, but I quit without saving, so I could make a last picture of her.
Rest in Peace Mathilde.
From the siblings of the second generation only Hedwig is still alive.
Most memorial/ discussed topic was the kneefall in warsaw from Willy Brandt. People over 60 years and und 30 years agreed with this gesture, the rest had heavy disagreed. In the fifa world cup Germany reached the third place, with Gerd Müller as one of the best player. He has died three days ago. As I wrote already, I'm not much a soccer fan, but I still know his name.
Three are a crowd. 1970 the matchmaking paragraph was reformed, unmarried couples older than 21 years are allowed to live together in an apartment now. Well, you don't have to told this twice to Erika.
Fabian asked her if she want to move in and of course she said yes.
Erika has now a level 10 cooking skill.
She is still studying, while Fabian became a police officer, to earn some money.
I had so much fun with playing these 3 years, that I forgot to post about it. Originally I thought I don't have much picture for 1971 and that was true, but 1972 the things have changed much.
Let's start with 1971. McDonalds open its very first store in Munich. The next one I put under a spoiler tag because of the pro choice reason
Big topic was the campaign of "We've had abortions!" against the Paragraph 218 of the country's penal code. It's still a topic, it's still forbidden until this day, but you aren't penalized if you follow the rules within 12 weeks. The GDR was farther developed in women right's, especially in this case. The Unification was a step back in women rights about their own body, and it's still an issue.
1972 The tragic of Olympic Summer Games in Munich.
Especially the massacre, where palestine terrorists hold hostage and murdered 11 Israeli Olympians. It was meant as light weight festival, a Dachshund was the mascot, but it shouldn't be so. It was followed by a series of ugly terrorists attacks and hijacking, which exposed the incompetence of the German police.
Just a tiny, but happy side note, during the summer games the Swedish crown prince Carl Gustav met his future wife Sylvia Sommerlath.
1973 Germany and East Germany were invited to join the United Nation. Start of the oilcrisis, which hit the western industry nations hard in due of the Dependence of the OPEC.
In 1971 Erika was still studying, but she was almost finished withe University when she suddenly felt sick.
It turns out out she was pregant.
Raised in a traditional family, a wedding came on the topic list, but Erika didn't want marry yet. She liked her family name and don't want to lose it. Sure she could get a double name but her unborn would not inherit that name.
Her family tried to talk with her and convinced her, but she still said no. Fabian would really like to marry her (he has the whim) but he respect her opinion.
The budget is tight. Sometimes they couldn't afford the energy bills and were shut down. But they did the best out of their life as they can, but she needs to earn some money too, but as a pregnant woman nobody would give her a job. She has earnt some money with writings on a freelance base. They needed a bigger apartment too, luckily in this case their neighbor wanted to move in a smaller apartment and they have got his apartment.
It's time to prepare. Yes, it's twins, two girls. I named them Nicole and Tanja.
Fabian tried to be a modern father and he is brave enough to change diapers.
Time flow, Erika finished the university and got her degree, but no picture from the ceremony, because the academic wardrobe was abandoned since 1967.
Here are the twins.
Erika wanted to lose some weight after the birth, but she failed.
The girls grow fast.
Then it's time for Chrismas and New Years Eve.
The most successful parties are always in the kitchen.

My family decided to go into the park. Holger was excited, while Erika was more interested in the sandwich. Babyboy Toni was born in 1950, so just imagine him in his stroller, too.
I think, the children would like to tell me something, or why they are so morbid?
Okay it's just Holger, who was hungry.

Later in the evening it's time for a goodnight story, dad's duty.
Holger has a nightmare.

The father comes late at home, because of the long working hours.
Hans offers Annemarie a shopping trip for new clothes, she is excited.

The reasons why I'm doing this I put under the spoiler.

Documentaries
Edit on 28th september 21 Unfortunately the next documentary was deleted.
Poor thing
Holger learns how to bowling.
Erika's room
Party and study room
Living room
And at last part of the dining room.

She like to be away from her family and stay with her friends.
Having fun on the party and came home too late. Her parents were angry.
The today-known fitness clubs started in 1961 in the usa and spread fast around.
Erika wanted to look like her friend and started a diet.
At last, some impressions from christmas eve.

Erika has learnt how to do yoga and loved celebrating with her friends.
She had also the duty to decorate the Christmas tree.
It was also a sad time for the family because the brothers of Wilhelm, Otto and Gottfried, died.
Maria Kaufmann mourns on the grave of Gottfried.
Sabine the youngest child of Hans enjoyed to have now the full attention from her mom and other helpers.
Erika has got accepted to the university and saying good by to mom and dad.

A students life
learning and meditating
earn some money, because they are on bugdet
watching news and have a lot of discussions
Lotte wanted to discuss about social (left) politics. It turns out, Erika is conservative. Okay, I'm going this route with her.
Erika met Fabian Koch in the library.
They understood each other very quickly and had the same point of view.
Erika shared the news to Lotte.
They had a date in an italian restaurant. He was the right man for Erika.
Aww, the first kiss.
Meanwhile,
And a couple of months later, they made their coming-out.
They shared the bed happily.
And suddenly 1970 was over.

1972 The tragic of Olympic Summer Games in Munich.
