Woah how can they affect eyesight? From like looking too close too often? Or like squinting from afar too often? I like chalkboards but they're too messy to have for my own use, so I have a personal whiteboard in my room instead.
A dish you don't think you could make as good as the restaurants, but would like to try cooking anyways?

My theory is that there is a shine/glare to it if you look at it at an angle. And last time, my teachers were dumb and would arrange the tables in a way that they are facing perpendicularly to the board so I would have to turn my head to look at it.
I think maybe by tastebuds are just too high class or something but most of the time when I go to a restaurant, I'm not like that blown away by their food. I think it's pretty much the same as anything my mom makes, or even what I can make. 😅 Gordon Ramsey, hire me, please. 😝
Speaking of which, this weekend, I want to try to recreate McDonald's Buttermilk Crispy Chicken burger bun cuz that burger bun is amazing and so soft and I don't know how they do it but I think I might fail. I tried to google around and it seems like it's some kinda brioche bun tho but I haven't found any video of someone trying to recreate the burger properly.
Eggrolls! I'm just scared to make them, because whenever I make Asian food, I fail. Unless it's Persian, that is.
Oh that makes sense actually! I was always able to pick out my seat in the front middle because of my glasses, though, so I guess I haven't run into that situation.
And I will say I am pretty jelly of your cooking skills, then, because I'm always pining for that greasy-fatty-buttery-yummy taste they always have in restaurant food, which I can never 100% replicate. That bun does look yummy, by the way. I never would have guessed the finished product is actually that beautiful in-person, because advertisements always buff up the buns in comparison. And is that pineapple??? I don't know if they sell that here 0:
Haha, and don't be jealous of my cooking skills. XD Maybe the restaurants here aren't that good. Who knows. But like I said, I'm also very hard to please when it comes to food.
Yeah, that is a pineapple. I think the chicken does look more blown up. It's not that thick.
Here's what it looks like in person.
What was the last dish you made that was surprisingly good?
I don't really cook or bake (by myself anyway). I have shaky hands so that doesn't help. But I do help cook or bake sometimes, depending on if my hands aren't shaky / nervousness level.
Last thing I remember helping cook was soup, but I forgot what kind as it was last year. I believe it was a copycat recipe of Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana, but with sweet sausage because my fam doesn't like spicy.
@DeKay thanks for the positive vibes! I am feeling more and more into getting guitar lessons (ik someone who knows someone lol) and work on my singing a little. Also my writing, whether it be stories or songs or poetry, I'm just in a very inspired, creative mindset now.
I found a couple other vocal lessons people on YouTube so I might watch them when my new earbuds come (finally found a pair I like!) I tried singing along to a couple songs today but it didn't sound great imo
Also that McDonald's cup is making me want a Mocha Frappe right now...
@Nushnushganay I'm also sound & light sensitive (mostly sound; though I've been trying to be less reactive and try to stay calm. [I just take deep breaths and think of Hunter [Going through a phase rn of I wanna make Hunter's song my ringtone but I also don't... too many extra steps to do that on a Samsung anyway... [and here goes me regretting trading in my iPhone again... didn't like it at the time]] [Also going through a I wanna dye my hair red but I don't want to because what if I don't like it after phase]) and I also don't have a good attention span depending on what it is. Computer games, Video Games, Dance and writing I can pay attention for hours.
Side note: Has anyone tried the Avocado Toast at Dunkin Donuts yet? I've been tempted to but not a fan of sourdough bread.
Main Question: Is there a dream you have that feels really big and hard to accomplish but not impossible? (*cough* meeting Hunter, and becoming good friends! *cough* )
Being a somewhat famous singer, I guess. But stuff like this is sometimes from luck. Like you can be a very talented singer or song writer or artist but if you still haven't had a breakthrough, then you just don't get the fame. 😅
Kinda reminds me of my art and Instagram. I see artists with more simple art than mine and they get thousands of followers and I'm not even at 2000. And I keep telling myself it is not all about the followers and likes.... but it is about the followers and likes, m'kay? 🤣🤣
A cover song that is 1000x better than the original?
“Better Now” ~ Troye Sivan. I love Post Malone, I do, but this version is slower and acoustic and it just really hits the spot in a way that the original only sort of does. It’s like turning flaming hot fried chicken into buttermilk fried chicken and adding mashed potatoes and gravy to make it soulfood.
Hmm.... this is tough....
Alright, I've never heard the original version of this, but Hunter's cover of "All I Want" by Kodaline melts my . The emotion! (I've mentioned Hunter too many times today. )
It was Breaking Bad. And it kind of broke me for watching TV because now my expectations are too high and nothing else compares, so I just don't watch TV. I mostly watch Youtube channels I subscribe to.
Hubs and I recently went to an arcade (it was actually not that great a place for us: much more of a country-and-western bar, than an arcade, but we played Buck Hunter and pinball and got some classic Capcom vs. Marvel in.
Has anyone else here ever played pinball? I can tell you, having had the pleasure as a kid of playing some of the old tables from the 70s, that sometime in the 80s they started making the balls in a lot of them, not a solid steel ball bearing as they are supposed to be, but some lightweight bouncy metallic-coated rubber or something, and those lightweight balls ruin the game completely. They don't have the necessary intertia to get enough momentum going to really play the way the game is supposed to be played. Luckily these tables had actual steel balls. And the Indiana Jones table had a glitch and my ball got stuck permanently in the magnetized zone so my game couldn't continue. Bosh.
The best pinball now are a handful of old PC pinball simulators. It would be so nice if it could be played in VR but there might not be enough people left who ever played pinball, for anyone to develop that idea.
Racism is EVERYONE's fight #BLM #StopAsianHate
Let's make Liberty and Justice For All a reality.
Nope.
I have played pinball on PC before! The good ol days.... pinball, my dad's deer hunting game on his desktop, oh and trying hard to defeat a paperclip or sassy Sally at mandala or checkers which brings me to my question
Anything dry. But perfect for me is a crisp early autumn day, sunny, sparkling blue skies, a nice breeze or even some bracing gusts, and cool enough that light jacket is comfortable and I can exercise without drenching in sweat.
I have played laser tag, long many years ago and enjoyed it but the fog they have in there, to make the lasers show up, irritates my airways, so maybe they have ones without fog machines now? I'd play again of that were the case. But with VR games like Pavlov, there may not be any need to go play laser tag anymore.
Have you ever played a VR game?

I believe the correct rules of UNO is that your last card cannot be a powercard, wild cards included. You have to draw two cards if so, and until you get a number card. So no, that's never happened. But it being the same color, probably.
