Werewolves needs to be part of a farming EP and not a separated GP

I believe that they should add more occults like werewolves, fairies, and other mythological creatures either in one big pack or some separate ones because more things to be would be very cool!!! (And I do know that fairies were a thing in the sims 3 but it would also be cool if they were somehow put into the sims 4)

Ok, I've readed all your comments and it's fine. I'm more a realistic/building player than a occult sim player. I don't care a f*ck about mermaids, aliens or vampires, but when I've said "Vampires was a mistake" I've meaning about making a whole pack focused in one occult sim was a mistake, not vampires Jesus Christ. Like My First Pet, a SP that supossed to be part of Cats & Dogs and Batuu a free content. I understood all your complains against how mermaids or aliens were introduced and developed for TS4, but a "werewolves pack" is giving the reason to EA to buying something that must be included in a larger pack but enhanced since the beggining.

Sure. Personally I have no problem with Werebeasts being shipped with an in-depth Farming EP if they get a similar treatment to Vampires.
I just don’t see EP + GP = EP happen. In that case we'd all be expecting a pack such as Eco Lifestyle plus Vampires combined. It just ain't happening.
My play style may not be very realistic, but I am a realist.

And remember we’re always left with the realism player vs fantasy player. No matter how much we like to twist it or turn it, there's a growing divide between the two. Why? Because of a constant growth in The Sims 4 player base.

Some very clever folks even insist that The Sims is a realistic life simulator and shouldn't include any fantasy related gameplay at all. I don't know where they got that idea but they clearly didn't do their homework.

Best to keep things separate for now 'cause already some players are unable to deal with a bunch of non-existing wolfmen in their saves.
Combining these packs is a hairy business. Bad Pun intended.

...Is this an attempt at a troll? Your post makes absolutely no sense. Aliens and Mermaids are among the least fleshed out occults because they were added onto a pack rather than getting their own. And what do Werewolves have to do with farms?

They're all over the ideas forum. I think either they're extremely new to the community and have never spoken to any other Simmers and have no idea what people actually want, or they haven't actually played The Sims 4 at all.

I don't think this person is that new or has not spoken to others. I first encountered a thread with this person early April and we had a decently long back and forth. It was odd, though. I said three times why I did not think animal slaughter would be introduced to the game and why and nothing seemed to land. Perhaps (s)he has problems reading responses?

    Animal... slaughter...? In The Sims?
Did they accidentally download this instead of Red Dead Redemption?

I'd assume not. You can check the old thread if you are interested. It is a poll of what animals should be added to a Farming EP. I voted sheep and said it needed to/would be a fiber animal because animal slaughter would never be added.

However, the responses I got confused me a bit and it seems even now my point did not get across, looking at the response in this thread.

Unhappy Simmers = Putting werewolves in a farming EP

Happy Simmers = Letting each thrive individually by having a farming EP and a werewolf GP

I said something like this in the unpopular opinions thread. But that was only me being sick of the empty utopian suburbia that many other realism and family players seem to perpetuate.

While I myself play for realism, I think I am more forgiving of the other lifestates and let them exist with my regular sims (they are few and wear disguises anyway). Basically, I see occults as chaos catalysts. They are my breaks from the BORING pose playing, moodlet spawning mess this game has become. I want occults intruding on my active gameplay (read: active, not occurring for unplayed households). I want vampires feeding on my Sims in the dead of the night, alien abductions, mermaids enchanting and drowning my Sims, spellcaster and witches being mischievous and cursing my Sims, werewolves killing my livestock, fairies and imaginary friends for Generations, and zombies overrunning my resort hotel. I want occasional but total unpredictability.

Sadly, that is an unpopular opinion and as such is the reason I wrote it in that thread. 😅 Do I think that farming and werewolves could go together? Absolutely! But seeing how mermaids didn’t do anything at all in IL—neither as a standalone lifestate nor in the chaotic influence I so wanted—I have zero confidence that EA could pull this one off. Packs aren’t as substantial as they used to be. Right now, we have like one or three gameplay features at most with each pack. And then watch the other realism and family players nerf it down to zero as they drag it on twitter and YouTube lol

The last thing I wanna see them do again is stuff a perfectly good pack with an unnecessary occult lifestate. The least they can do is separate the two.

If they do a Farming Werewolves Pack, they need to make the world a Moonlight Falls with a Lunar Moon where the Werewolves could hunt the chickens, birds, fish, pigs & cows to eat them raw. Plus, they can bite the Farmers to turn them into Werewolves also. :D

Uggggh if they go that route werewolves would be nothing more than hairy sims that howl at the moon once in awhile. They already did my mermaids dirty with IL, I dont wanna see that happen with werewolves. And plus I dont wanna deal with the constant demands for (and eventual) werewolf nerfing coming from simmers that just want to farm. Put 'em in their own pack and leave them alone.

I’ve been playing this game for 20 years and I’ve finally just accepted the fact that it just wouldn’t be The Sims without random occult Sims effing up your game! It’s incredibly freeing and considerably less stressful.

    Occult Sims are Sims too!

PLEASE no werewolves in the Farming EP!

When I was little, I loved Barbie AND She-Ra. If I wanted to wear pretty dresses, ride around in a pink Corvette, or go on dates with Ken, I would play with my Barbies. If I wanted to lead my allies into battle against Skeltor, well obviously would play She-Ra. I don't remember any "Barbie the Dragonslayer" or "She-Ra's Dream Date" editions. A shame though, I know.

In The Elder Scrolls games, I can BE an awesome, super-powerful Mage, Werewolf, or Vampire while killing dragons and saving the world. AND I can also have a dream wedding, build a pretty house, and raise horrible children.

So in The Sims, I instead want to paint pretty pictures, rise to the top of my career, and build the modern, fancypants house I can't afford irl. (Even with a MATCHING washer and dryer!) I avoid the dream wedding bit in The Sims because I like to avoid high fantasy, and I avoid the raising children bit in The Sims because I like to avoid horror.

Anyway, to me they're totally different things. Keep your She-Ras out of my Barbie time, brah.

Like aliens in Get To Work and mermaids in Island Living, there's no reason that werewolves deserves an exclusive GP.

Any related werewolves pack feature like lunar cycles can be included in a farming EP as well, there's actually plants that grows under moonlight.

Vampires GP was a mistake, like My First Pet and Batuu.

no thank u :# I want to see the farm animals :)

As many have already done in this thread, @Mak27, I will respectfully disagree with you that Werewolves should be included in a "Farming" EP.

For many of the same reasons stated. I don't know if "Werewolves", "Fairies" and "Zombies" (and other other occults) each need their GP but, seeing how badly designed and underdone both aliens and mermaids are, they definitely do not need to be thrown into an EP randomly. They definitely don't need to be thrown into an EP where they serve no purpose. Aliens and Mermaids at least have an intended purpose for being included in though EPs despite being underdeveloped.

That said, I also strong disagree with Batuu and the Vampires GPS being a mistake and somewhat disagree that the "My First Pet" pack was a mistake. Though I will say that I think a few more things could be done with Batuu that seemed missed out on given the nature of it.

Batuu is great as a "Star Wars theme park" pack. It is definitely inspired by the "Star Wars Galaxy Edge" theme park section in at Disneyworld / Disneyland. Having gone to the theme park in Florida early last year (before the pandemic stuff, I thought the game pack captured most of the flavor of that section of the park fairly well. And honestly, most of the stuff that I felt were missing from the pack were things that could be added into the game via other packs at a later date. For example, I wish that the Star Wars costumes already in the game factored into stuff the NPCs wear better and things of that nature. I hope the Sabacc can function as a "gambling option" if casinos are introduced in the game. Would love to see some things that would go with the Star Wars themed hotel that was suppose to open at the Disney FL area last year (but I assumed was delayed till whenever). There's a few other minor things as well. (And I am also honestly glad that there is not a "blue milk stand" in the game. ;) ) Even as someone who likes realism primarily in their game, surely you understand that theme parks and carnivals... even the movies are not "mistakes".

As for My First Pets, it is a stuff pack and not even a game pack. And while it could have (and I know many argue should have) been included in the game, the fact that is there is there is quite welcomed. Especially for the additional build items that were thrown in there besides just the pet related stuff. (Though that said, I use more pet items from there than I do the actual Cats and Dogs pack by around a 52-48% ratio at least.) Was it something that could have been handled better? Sure! But it is hardly a "mistake".

As for the Vampire GP, while mostly ambivalent on using vampires in my game in general, I use several of the build items very frequently (almost too frequently) in my builds. (Blame Twilight and Vampire Diaries for my general ambivalence, even though I was an extra on Vampire Diaries and old friends with one of the actors from the show.) And knowing that a lot of people love the pack for the actual vampires, not to mention that the vampires are better developed than the mermaids and the aliens, I can hardly call the pack a mistake.

I don't get why Werewolves would be included in a farming pack anyways.

Also, @OutlawWoman, "Barbie the Dragonslayer" sounds like it would be a hilarious idea. It has me wondering if it would come with "bow and arrow", a "greatsword" or "one handed sword and shield" as accessories. Or would she be a mage?
The idea of a "She-Ra's Dream Date" sounds amusing as well. Bonus points if her dream date is with a character other than He-Man. Orko or Battlecat maybe? :D (I admit, I amuse easily sometimes.)

Why would her dream date be He-Man? He's her brother. Now, Catra or Sea Hawk, on the other hand (depending on the version)

I remember He-Man & She-Ra. She-Ra was introduced as He-Man's long lost twin sister. She was a princess that turned into a Warrior Woman just like her twin brother turned from Prince to a Warrior. The both had swords & fought the villians.

For me, I am not one of the many people who want a farming pack. That isn't really my thing. However, I DO want werewolves. Do I want werewolves to have their own pack? Yes. Would I buy the farming pack IF it included werewolves? Probably not. I'd just sit there and say, "That was a bad idea." So, please, separate pack.

I think they are kind of ripping us off with the whole GPs dedicated to one occult thing. If you look at spellcasters for example, supposedly they got their own pack to be more fleshed-out but in reality they are very very slightly more in-depth than in previous Sims games.
I see it as more an excuse for them to ask for 20$ on just a single occult. When I pay 20$ I expect way way more than what they did with spellcasters so if Werewolves are a stand-alone GP they should have perks, at least a dozen of powers, several new features, interactions with the Vampire GP, a world with at least 12 lots and much much more.

What they are doing now is adding 1-2 extra features in comparison to previous games and expecting 20$ from the same people that paid 40$ for the Sims 3 Supernatural that had like 6 occults. No way EA.

I'd prefer supernaturals just be in their own pack instead of taking chunks of the budget from packs I actually want. Though it is kind of sad how many packs are required to actually get them and they still are not done well vampires was nothing but disappointment and they do not connect the supernatural packs either in any way.
