I get a tad frustrated when I got to set up and Event, in this case a Birthday Party, but the Birthday Sim is still at school. That leaves only the Sims at home, currently available. That's a little crazy, don't you think? He lives in the home, he's just at school at the moment, along with the youngest two Sims. Dad is off at work. None of these Sims are even available to choose from. Face/palm. Guess I'll have to set up the party at another time. Oi!
What frustrates you about this system, if anything?

If you plan through the calendar and not the phone you can choose the day and starting hour. This does require seasons.
That does seem frustrating. I haven’t aged up any of mine yet. But, I think for events for that household you should be able to at least plan the event for the birthday sims list. And those of other sims in the household (whether home at the moment or not at the moment of planning.
With the calendar, it frustrates me that it does not show dates for each of the festivals in all the worlds you own ( like it does for a week on weather.). There should be a tab for festival dates. Also, when checking weather, there should be a tab to check all the worlds in your game so you can plan vacations or outings knowing what type of weather there is in that world for the week.
I also think when a sim calls and wants you to go somewhere, you are called a few hours in advance so you can prepare, sometimes I would like my sim to go, but they are engaged in something else st the moment.
Oh, but it doesn't have to happen right then and there. That's what the calendar is for, as a matter of fact. Click the date on the calendar, choose the Event and from there you set up the Event. Just follow the steps. When you choose the venue, you also choose the time. That part I like.
@SheriSim57 I agree about Sims calling and inviting your Sim out somewhere. If I have a Sim leave the lot, that also takes me with them, then my singer Sim, who may be at the Studios laying down tracks for his next album is instantly brought back, no tracks in his inventory. Since it takes 15 tracks per album, it's frustrating when he can only do 5 at a time. If I don't have any other events for him to tend to, I'll often give him the command three times to get all 15 done in succession. He still has to go back to put the album package together, and then go back again to release the album. Having another family member bebop off is problematic.

You’re welcome!
I have done that in my Ancestral game save, as it was in keeping with the time period. Never thought to use it in my main save, set more in the future, as in 23rd century. Great idea! Do you know if this invite anyone mod gets along with MCCC, Road to Fame, or a few others?

I don't know what the deal is. Max "days" per season is 28 but the calendar has for example summer with 36 days(well "boxes"), winter with less that( I stopped counting).

This drives me crazy too.
It's strange that when you are setting up a club (from GT) and you set a parameter (such as level 2 fishing skill), you then get access to sims within that parameter and can add them to your club even though you don't know them from Adam, but you can't do something simple like inviting your future wife's family to your wedding because you haven't yet met them.
And don't get me started on toddler play dates! But I guess those are more party restrictions rather than calendar restrictions.
For the calendar itself, I wish we could move a holiday to a different day if we want, rather than having to delete it and re-do. I also wish there was a way to select how many days you want in a season. I have no idea why it has to be restricted to a limited amount of multiples of 7. I want to be able to play an entire rotation in one season so that all my households get to enjoy each season of the year.
