Is there a way to stop this?

What's with my sims' friends coming over and start doing their laundry and cleaning their toilet? Can I get real friends who don't come over and clean my sims house? lol. I find it annoying and unrealistic when they are trying to have a girls night.

They will do more than that. They basically treat it as their own home. I'm not sure how to stop it. At most, you're able to lock computers, doors and such.

I'm sure I saw a post from a modder the other day which said there is a way to flag certain actions to not be performed if it is not on their home lot, so I would have thought EA could set this sort of behaviour to not happen when visiting.

It's kind that sims will help you out, but if you're sat chatting to your friends it is very jarring when one will suddenly get up and go and empty your bins.

My best guess is that when they did the trait overhaul they missed to make sure that those actions should be set as private. My neat sim goes around and cleans toilets on community lots, which I find pretty weird.

As for doing something about it, maybe you could remove those actions from the autonomy list with MC Command Center, (MC Command Center > MC Tuner menu and choose “Enable Autonomy Scan” and then select scan for actions when they are doing it), that's how I got rid of goofballs pranking the toilets (226929,toilet_Prank).

thanks I will try the automony scan. I thought that could only work on active sims. Never assumed you can do automony scans on non active townies. thanks

"Ah, the party isn't on the second floor, it's here on the main floor. Please, come keep me company. Why do you think I invited you over in the first place? Fine. I won't call you, either, when dinner is served." LOL

maybe lock door to the room computer is in? or opt for laptop and keep it in sims inventory perhaps

LittleMsSam has a mod to stop this.

There is a trait that makes people avoid coming to your house if they can help it. Another good solution is have good amount of entertainment with high, well, entertainment stat. Sims tent to prioritize that over doing anything else unless they have specific traits. Neat Sims won't stop cleaning, for example.

I know it is not perfect, but it works for me.

My Sims grown kids can come over bake a dozen cakes, use my computer, use my grill but when their father visits their place and starts cooking a family meal this is apparently inappropriate and he’s asked to stop!
