I CAW edited the pretty well-known Brooklyn Heights map (
http://www.mysimrealty.com/WORLDS_BrooklynHeights.html ) on the space my character lives by Sacred Spleen Memorial Hospital and the Near Birch Circle park or whatever that is, the 2 houses between the hospital, hills, and the city that have a pretty big plot combined and I flattened out part of the hills to fit a 40X40 plot with some breathing room in all directions, I wanted my lot to have room for a roller or ice rink, maybe both, I followed the directions on this thread:
https://forums.thesims.com/en_us/discussion/390717/how-can-i-use-my-created-sim-world-in-my-sims-3-game
and despite making sure to make the entire plot flat and routable, rebuilding the routing data, and confirming my edited map was installed, I cannot put on a 40X40 lot or a lot the original size lot anywhere over there, it still says "Can't place on un-routable terrain."
What did I miss?

I'm afraid I am not quite sure why you are having this problem @Tamaowner
But may I ask if you have actually placed the 40x40 lot in CAW or did you just edit the terrain and are now trying to add it with the in game world editor after you installed the world?
Hi @Tamaowner the game world editor is known to be a bit troublesome and it can be very awkward to even replace the same size lot.
Have you got the chance to go back into CAW and place the lot directly where you want it? That would probably make things so much easier ... although you would need to uninstall the current world through the launcher and then export/import it again as before when you've finished in CAW.
Keeping fingers crossed that you can sort it
So glad to read that it worked @Tamaowner . I'm sure you can sort out the trees too. Have fun and happy simming!
Hi @Tamaowner , you are absolutely right it is best to uninstall the earlier version of Brooklyn Heights and definitely a good idea to put your saves somewhere safe before they get lost.
The only other way is to rename the edited world but I'm not sure the game would recognise your saves.
Is there a good place to attach screenshots? I don't know what anyone's solution would be for this.
You don't have permission to do that." and I really do not know who has permission to see the rules, so if this is an inappropriate bump, sue me.
Does anyone have any idea what I should do?
Hi @Tamaowner , try this link for New Members:
https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/934205/small-change-for-new-members#latest
I'm afraid you will not be able to start a new discussion or post pictures until you have reached full member status.
If you want to show some screenshots you will need to upload them to a picture hosting site like Imgur or Flickr etc. then you can add them to your posts on the forums.
At the moment I am not quite sure how to help you with the blue lot appearing in your world, sorry
