Loving the Little Details In This Game!

«1
For some reason, this is the very first time I noticed that you can hear the clicking sounds of knuckles being cracked when a Sim gets a foot massage. I've had Sims get foot massages before, but Erik is particularly tense. Not sure if that's the difference or if I just didn't notice before. At any rate, I really love little details like this that is truly a Hallmark of the Sims' Franchise. Way to go, EA and thank you so very much!

Please share the little details you've noticed in your game. :)

Last night when I finished an aspiration where my female sim Nadia was away in Batuu for a few days, I finally sent her home. When she got home I clicked on her hubby and selected ask about day, but before she did that, she gave him a loving peck on the cheek making them both smile. I thought that was a sweet touch <3

It's not just the tension; I hear it with all of mine. :) Speaking of massages, but this time the table kind, my inner 12-year-old comes rushing back to replace my current self every time a sim accidentally farts while getting a massage. Every. Single. Time.
FYI: Just because you can see my signature, don't assume that I can see yours.
Because I can't; I keep all sigs turned off. ;)

Can this be counted as a little detail? Cos I absolutely love how my little puppy will sometimes fall on his face when he's running too fast :D

And my little sim girl sitting watching TV with her dad, she suddenly randomly blew a raspberry at him. Totally cracked me up.

I noticed that computers have a slight electric hum in addition to the sound of clacking keys.

The Teen getting the massage is my newly crowned Global Superstar. Paparazzi were everywhere inside the spa, some even taking the yoga class as if to disguise themselves. LOL Can you imagine what they would do had Erik broke wind? Oi! Poor guy was already tense enough. You make a very amusing point.

I need to start playing with louder sound. Usually i play in the living room while my family is watching tv or listening to music... so i keep my sound super low. I don't use earbuds cause we're all socializing while each one doing their thing...

Most earbuds are much too large for my ears! They keep popping out. LOL Plus, I don't like the sense of feeling cutoff from what's going on around me, when I wear headphones. I turn up the volume on my stereo external speakers, instead.

Oh, that causes me to recall how our new ten-week old Beagle who was all of five pounds managed to run underneath my husband's chest of drawers! She couldn't get back out again, and I was nearly in a panic. Hubby wasn't due home from work for hours. I said a quick prayer, and managed to tilt it back so she could get out. Not only that but the flat panel TV atop this piece of furniture didn't move at all! It's like an Angel was holding it in place. :) Belle was okay, and that's what mattered. Now, she just a brat. LOL

Sims 2 has many more details and better details than the sims 4.

Yes, I know. I started my Sims Odyssey with Sims2. I totally miss the footprints on the concrete floor when building a new lot. For the longest time that game was my favorite. But Sims4 brings some important things back to the game egregiously left out of Sims3. So, I rejoice in the little details I keep discovering in this iteration, too.

Oh my gosh, I notice so many little details that make me giggle. My main sim is an Actor so whenever he has to do a practice scene, he uses his wife as his partner. Whenever the teens and children "have" to watch, they look bored. I found this particularly hilarious.
The Sims is NOT a game, it's a lifestyle choice.

So were you going to share a detail as the post suggested or....? I'm sure if its a Sims 2 detail no one will care.

Let's all calm down here and focus on The Sims 4's details. I know that each game has its own details (and The Sims 2's is considered the best), but if people wish to enjoy The Sims 4, let them.
Let's have a nice discussion here, shall we?

So then. A detail in The Sims 4...

When elders slip and fall, they take longer to get up due to back pain.

When my sims are very sad they move the empty fork around the plate when eating. I don't know how to explain it in english, but it's like they are thinking in whatever made them sad and lost their appetite but still are trying to eat... i think that's a beautiful detail, although a sad one...

I love spa day pack. I love the wall details with the Vampire pack. I appreciate the details with textures with some of the fabric and worn out wood furniture. I really love the details with the new makeup tools too. Oh some Sims are left handed too which is nice.

You assume a lot and come off rather rude with your reply.

Just cause you personally don't care it doesn't mean that everybody doesn't. I love the Sims 4 and yes it has many lovely details but I also have very fond memories from the Sims 2 and I do actually care about all the wonderful little details that it had.

I played the game last week with headphones for the first time and there were so many little sounds I had never realized were there. It's made me want to invest in a good set of headphones to really enjoy the game.

While this is totally true, it doesn't add to the topic and it also doesn't keep me from enjoying the Sims 4 more than the Sims 2 by now.

I've got two details to share that I like:

When my married couple is kissing beneath their children, they often react with disgust, while during a wedding party the guests will usually cheer when they notice the betrothed couple kissing.

When Sims go hiking together Sims will sometimes autonomously eat an apple during a short break.
Now now EA, don't be stinking up our lovely lavender bath with your shopping fart. - My TS4 mods - Gallery ID: 83bienchen

Why wouldn't anyone care if it's a Sims 2 detail?

MissSimReno does ASMR videos of different locations. The sound and art design in Sims 4 is so good. My favorite location is Brindleton Bay. I love the way the moon looks from my sim's backyard. So pretty.

Here's the Brindleton Bay ASMR video: https://www.youtube.com/embed/P7Zjo5WtZPY

She has also done Oasis Springs, Willow Creek, and Forgotten Grotto.
