    #BnS225 - A Tiny Hangout

The deadline for this challenge is 30th April 2020

You are just tidying up your office when you hear the door close behind you. You turn to find a teen-aged boy slouching into the room. His hair is black, and his eyes are bright blue. He is about medium build, although it is hard to be sure since his clothes are so baggy.

"Hello," you say warmly. "How can I help you today?"

He looks at you blankly. You notice the wires coming out of his ears. He removes his ear buds, and you repeat yourself.

"Yeah, hey," he acknowledges you. "I am just starting college in the fall."

He pauses, so you congratulate him. Then you wonder why he is here, smacking the gum in his mouth and staring at you.

"Yeah. yeah," he finally continues after a very long moment. "My parents have given me a small plot of their estate to live on."

Again he pauses, but this time you merely wait on him.

"Right, so...I need a place to live," he says. "You know, on this land. But I don't know how to build, do I? So I've come to you to build it."

"Well, you have come to the right place, Mr?"

"Oh, right. Yeah. I am Guy Orange," he says, giving you a slight smile that looks suspiciously like a smirk.

"Well, Mr. Orange, let's start with some basics. How big is the lot we have to work with?" you ask politely.

"Yeah. It measures 20 by 15," his eyes never leave you. His staring is beginning to make you jittery.

Suddenly he blurts out, "Half of the lot needs to be a hangout space, maybe around a fire pit. For me and my mates."

"Okay," you say, hiding your shock with some quick note taking. "You will need a bathroom, a place to sleep, a place to eat... What else would you like?"

"Yeah, so... a place to study. And a place to play video games."

"That is very do-able. What is the budget?" you ask briskly.

Still staring and chomping on his gum, he answers, "They gave me $30,000. Yeah. I need this quick. They want me out of the house, like yesterday."

"I can have it for you by the end of the month," you assure him.

"Yeah. Get to it then," he says, putting his ear buds back into his ears and still staring at you. You nod as he gets up and slinks out of your office.

As soon as the door closes, you pull out a small mirror and check your teeth for any food caught in them, wondering what he had been staring at.

    THE BRIEF

*the budget is $30,000, which does not include the cost of the lot.

LOT SIZE, ADDRESS & FINAL COST: 20 X 15, No idea somewhere in adventureland, $29,648
LOT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: Stella Orange loves her job, her nephew, and falling in love. Since her brother and sister-in-law's tragic death, her life was turned upside down and she is now her beloved nephew's caretaker. LOT SIZE, ADDRESS & FINAL COST: 20x15, placed lot in Moonlight Falls, §30,598 (furnished including §600 lot cost) | §17,044 (unfurnished)
LOT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: Guy Orange seems like a broody teenager with a slight attitude problem who will most likely spend more time playing video games than actually studying, so I built The Arcadian with the view that it was an old industrial looking arcade and focused most of the budget on the basement gaming area. The decor is quite dark - to match Guy's moodiness - but there are pops of brightness throughout, specifically orange. Because he's a uni student, I figured that most of his furniture would be mismatched and cheap, apart from his gaming room where his prize possessions are - gaming console and vintage arcade machine.
The interior living space measures 5x9 with three levels, although the basement is smaller. With stairs to the rooftop and cantilevers, the whole house is 10x9 with the side yard decorated as a space for outdoor activities and hanging out.
    Features:
    - 1 bedroom area
    - 1 bathroom
    - Study area

    #BnS226 - Star Struck

The deadline for this challenge is 31 May 2020

"Thank you for the autograph. Ah, right this way, ma’am, you’re expected.”

    “It was my pleasure.”

The voices drifting through your partially open door alert you that your next client is here and you look up from the monitor in time to see a stylishly dressed young woman stepping inside, casually placing her hand on Rose's arm as she passed her.

You recognize her as the well-known celebrity Diana Grace, and can’t blame Rose for her startruck reaction. It’s taking an effort to keep your own jaw from dropping to find yourself in the presence of such a famous person. Determinedly, you remember your job and greet her.

“Hello and welcome, Ms. Grace. We’re honored that you’ve chosen us to build your perfect home.”

She smiles pleasantly at you. “You come highly recommended. I’m sure you’ll be able to meet my needs.”

“We’ll definitely do our best.” You catch sight of Rose still standing in the doorway, watching with obvious awe. “Rose, don’t you have something to do? I think I hear the phone.”

“What? Oh, right, I’ll just ah, go answer that…” Rose nearly trips over her own feet on her way out but manages to recover herself.

“Now where were we...Oh yes, what did you have in mind? Something sleek and contemporary, perhaps?”

Diana seems amused but not bothered at all by Rose’s reaction. “Oh, no, I’m looking for cozy, comfortable and perhaps a touch rustic. I want it to be my own little kingdom out in the country. I have many friends who like to visit, and will need at least a couple of rooms for them to stay overnight. A guest bath or two as well.”

You nod, noting it all down. “Anything else?”

“I need a pool, of course, Space for entertaining both inside and out is a must.”

“Do you have a color preference?”

“I enjoy bright, cheerful colors, but not painfully bright, and soft fabrics. Neutrals are fine as accent colors.” She smiles again, dazzling you so you have to blink and bring your mind back to the task at hand.

    “And your budget?”

    “Will 80,000 be enough?”

“That should be plenty. Let me see you out.” You rise to escort her to the door, pretending not to notice Rose quickly turning back to her desk and tapping furiously away at her computer.

    THE BRIEF

    Budget: 80,000
Requires at least three bedrooms and 2 baths.
    Requires a pool
Requires space for entertaining, both inside and out.

    Optional Challenge

Create Diana Grace and show her various outfits. Be sure to tell us about her likes and traits. Note: Late Night and Showtime are not required for this challenge.

    #BnS227 - Oceanside Resort

The deadline for this challenge is 30 June 2020

“Your appointment with Mr. Pascua is here,” Rose says over the intercom.

“Thank you, Rose. Please send him in.”

You rise to greet the man as he enters, impressed with his build. You aren’t sure what you had in mind but he seems to be almost a bodybuilder!

“Thank you for agreeing to see me on such short notice,” he says as you motion towards the chair.

“Not at all, I’m happy to fit you in,” you reply with a smile. “Now, your assistant said something about a resort?”

“An ocean-side resort and hotel,” he confirms.

“That’s quite a project,” you say, but love the idea. This town could use something special to draw more tourists.

“Economy is up, people want to travel. But they need a place to stay when they do.”
“Makes sense. What scale are you thinking?”

“Well, it depends. I’d like something with some flexibility, some standard rooms but also some nicer suites. A pool would be a nice touch, but maybe an ocean swim is good enough? Some outdoor activities, of course. Perhaps a lounge or restaurant for the local community to enjoy as well, especially in the off season to keep the place open.”

He speaks very rapidly but you scribble all that down.

“I also want it to really stand out! I want people to see it and think, ‘yeah, that’s where I want to go.’ So nothing too small or too blended in, but don’t let it clash, either. It should fit the town but still draw your attention.”

You nod. “I understand completely. How many guests will you want to accommodate?”

“I’d like at least 8 rooms. Three with one double bed, three with two double beds, and two luxury suites. If you can fit more in for the budget, then please do, but I don’t want to feel that the resort suffered just for more people. There must be a reason for them to come, after all. “

“Of course. Now, about the budget…”

    THE BRIEF

    350k budget.
Build a hotel and resort with at least 8 rooms. 3 furnished with one double bed, 3 furnished with 2 double beds, 2 luxury suites. All must have attached bathrooms.
Provide a lobby, reception area and admin office.
    Provide landscaping.
Style should reflect the town it is built in, but stand out.
Provide at least one indoor and one outdoor activity or entertainment.
Must be built near the ocean.

    Sim Challenge

Show us the Sims who are visiting the resort, can be anyone, any traits, etc, just show them enjoying their vacation.

    #BnS228 - 50 Shades of Grey

The deadline for this challenge is 31 July 2020

You look out the studio window and sigh. It’s been cloudy for five days straight now. Even the rich mug of hot chocolate that Rose made for you isn’t helping to lift your spirits. Speaking of Rose, she pokes her head into your office and says brightly, “Your next clients are here!”

In walk Hannah and Reginald Gray. As you shake hands and exchange pleasantries about the dull weather, you notice the Jamaican lilt in Reginald’s voice. Hannah, with her gorgeous long auburn hair, is a little harder to place. Germany? Denmark? They are both dressed all in black like the most sophisticated urban dwellers, yet their high spirits light up the room. You know from a brief background check that Reginald is the creative genius behind CouchPotato.com, an online food delivery service that is sweeping the country, and Hannah is the chief food critic for the Bridgeport Times.

“We are so happy to finally meet you!” Hannah exclaims. “Doug Curtis told us about you and we knew you would be perfect for our project!”

“I should hire Doug for my PR!” you laugh. “Now, how may I help you?”

Reginald takes over. “We love Bridgeport, but we’re looking to relocate to Sunset Valley. We’re kind of tired of apartment living, you see.”

“Okay. So what did you have in mind?”

Reginald and Hannah look at each other like guilty children and then break out laughing. Hannah continues, “We’d like a two-bedroom, two bathroom house—not very big. We don’t want a huge lot to take care of. But… here’s the kicker… We’d like everything to be in black and white and shades of gray.”

    “Everything?” you say, surprised.

“Well, we’re okay with green plants,” Reginald answers, “but we prefer white flowers.” Hannah nods in agreement. They both look at you as if they expect you to throw them out the door!

“That shouldn’t be a problem,” you say with a big smile. You continue to discuss lot availability, budget and other requirements, and as the couple leaves, your mind is already bright with ideas and possibilities.

    THE BRIEF

    20 x 30 or 30 x20 lot in Sunset Valley
    Master bedroom
    Guest bedroom
    2 full bathrooms
Usual kitchen, living and dining areas
    Office with computer
    Small pool (outdoors)
Architecture/Interior style: the Grays have always tended toward modern, but are willing to accept any sophisticated interior style—as long as everything is in black and white and shades of gray! Green plants and white flowers are okay, and that goes for the landscaping, too: only green plants, white flowers, and outdoor building materials in black, white and shades of gray.

BUDGET: The Grays are very wealthy and have said, “The sky’s the limit!”, but let’s see if we can build them their dream home for §150,000 or less (lot cost + building cost).

    Sim Challenge

Create the Grays along with all their traits and lifetime wishes.

This 20 x 30 lot provided just enough room for our medium Mediterranean style home with a small pool round back and space for entertaining. Using only black, white & shades of gray. The outside siding of this home is white stucco, with several shades of gray accents at the doors & windows. Inside we became creative with wall paper & paint in Black, white & shades of gray. There is an all white Modern Kitchen. 2 black & white tiled full baths. A warm gray guest bedroom. Living room, dining room & office. With the Master bedroom all decked out in several shades of gray. (On a personal note : I had fun with this , Coming from recently building in Sims 4 - and not using the color wheel in a while - I made shades of Gray, ranging from gray that looks blue, off white to even green, yet it is all different shades of gray.. Also I was challenged to make it tight quarters as far as furniture arrangement, again coming from Sims 4 where Tiny living has made it easier to create small spaces, I pushed it to see what kind of space I could put to the test here in 3. I Tend towards using many clutter objects, I was able to make use of a Mod from "Mod the Sims" - One more Slot. ) Most pictures were taken in the fall, and during a storm, There are a few Build mode pictures at the end of the album.

#BnS229 - La Casa Dello Splendore

The deadline for this challenge is 31 August 2020

You let out an indulgent sigh of pleasure, sitting on the walk in front of your favorite cafe. In front of you is the remains of an amazing pasta dish and your preferred sparkling beverage. A soft breeze caresses your cheek, keeping the warmth of the sun from becoming too intense. There couldn’t be a better way to wait for a late appointment than this.

You are roused from your doze by a low female voice in an entrancing accent saying, “Mi scusi, Signore. Are you the architect?”

You open your eyes to find a beautiful woman standing next to you. Deep red hair, so dark its almost burgundy, frames a face that could have been model for a statue in the Renaissance, set with a pair of large black eyes. Unlike most redheads you’ve seen, her skin is a delicate golden tan. She is dressed in a lovely, long shirt that looks as if someone has painted a watercolor garden across it, over a pair of snug embroidered jeans. Over her shoulder is a large purse in shades that compliment her shirt. She’s the kind of woman who looks like she should be trendsetting in Milan while wearing her most casual of clothing.

“I am. Its nice to meet you.” You hold out a hand, getting one back that is both perfectly manicured, and yet bears the calluses of someone used to holding tools.

“Bene. I am Eleganza della Pietra. We had an appointment. I am so sorry I was late. I am new here and got lost.” She says apologetically, sitting down when invited.

“Its all right. I had a beautiful lunch outside on a beautiful day. Who could complain about that?” You say with a smile, making her laugh softly. “What can I do for you, Ms della Pietra?”

She smiles a Mona Lisa smile and says “Please, call me Eleganza.”

“Thank you Eleganza. Where are you from?”

“I am from Venice. I moved here to have different,” There is a pause while she looks for the right word. “Ispirazione.”

“You are an artist?” you ask, guessing at the meaning of her word.

    “Si. I am a scultrice.”

    You pause, “A sculptress?”

“That is the word.” Eleganza pulls out a notebook from her pretty bag and hands it to you. “I am still working on my Simlish. A friend wrote out what I want for you, in case I do not get the words right.”

“Your Simlish is great.” You assure her, taking the notebook and reading over the requirements. “This is perfect. Just one question.”

    “Si?”

“What kind of budget do I have?”

    “Oh, 150,000! Is that enough?”

“Should be fine. I’ll have it done for you in a couple weeks.”

    “Che’s stupendo!” She exclaims happily.

    THE BRIEF

Italianate style house on moderate lot
    3 bedrooms, 2 baths
Separate building for an sculpting studio with lots of light and a bath

    Small pool
Budget: 150,000 (to include lot cost as well as build cost)

LOT SIZE, ADDRESS & FINAL COST: 25 x 30 lot at 118 Foothill Dr. in Starlight Shores - cost: 149,986
LOT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: As posted a few days ago, I did two versions of the front exterior of this home. I have never decided which one to use, so both are in my album above. There are a few comments included under the pictures in the album that you don't see unless you enlarge the pictures in the album and scroll through them. I don't think any of the comments are really necessary to your understanding of the build, though.
In the downstairs, I used a subtle pattern in the wallpaper in just a few spots that was difficult to see in the pictures, so I included one shot zoomed in on the pattern. It's used inside on both sides of the front door, both sides of the door leading to the pool, and the space between the two arches leading to the kitchen. The same wall pattern with pronounced difference in color between background and detail is also used upstairs behind the stairs.
Since there was no mention of family or friends who would be living with Eleganza, I furnished the other two bedrooms as guest rooms, one with a double bed and the other with twins.
This was a fun build with a nice budget :)

    #BnS230 - Alien Encounters

The deadline for this challenge is 30 September 2020

“Plum storm..” you mutter to yourself, “Why did it have to get so dark so quickly…?” You glower up at the heavy thunderclouds obscuring the evening sun before hurrying off towards your car. An abrupt beam of white light surrounding you stops you in your tracks. “What the..?” Whatever word you were about to say is cut off as the white light becomes blinding.

When your eyes clear, you realize that you aren’t outside anymore. Instead you’re standing in a new room, with soft music playing from somewhere. Sitting on a kind of couch that looks like it was lifted from a pub, is a blue skinned man. For a few moments you just stare at him, absently taking in details like the Star Wars-esque spacer’s outfit, the blaster on his hip and the rapier on the couch next to him.

“Sorry about the abrupt pick up, but I’d rather keep this just between us.” He says, flashing a mischievous smile. “You okay?”

You close your eyes for a few moments, reminding yourself that you’ve dealt with equally weird things. A crime boss. Santa and his wife. An entire village of fairy tale characters. You take a deep breath and put on your professional smile, “Honestly? I could use a drink.” He laughs.

A few minutes later you’re ensconced on the couch with a glass full of some rich alien liquor in your hand. He has one as well and waits until you’ve had a drink of it before he speaks. “My name is Donnell Indigo, and I’ve heard that you’re the best in the area when it comes to satisfying…custom requirements.”

Cautiously you nod, “When it comes to building and interior design, there’s a lot I can do. Are you looking for a landing pad for your ah, space ship?”

“Sort of.” He crosses his legs, sipping his drink with appreciation. “I’m the kind of guy who is very much in demand you might say, and not always by people I’d like to spend time with. I need a place to lie low. This seems like a quiet place and its so far out in Wild Space, its unlikely I’ll have to worry about anyone bothering me about picky little details.”

Unable to resist, you ask, “What kind of picky details?”

“Oh, small things. You know, comforting lonely women who forget to tell me they’re married, unexpected loans of personal property…little things that really aren’t all that important. Still, people get worked up by those kind of things.”

‘Great. A space pirate,‘ You think to yourself. “I understand where that could be complicated.”

“Exactly. And sometimes a guy just needs a little down time. Think you can help me out? I pay well.”

“Depends on what you’re looking for in a house,” you say cautiously. “I make it a point to avoid bothering people with those…picky little details you mentioned.”

“Don’t worry,” he says, raking the fingers of one hand through navy blue hair, “I’m looking for a place to live when I’m here. A bachelor’s pad. Something that’s comfortable with or without female company. But I want it to blend in. I don’t want something that’s going to stand out like a neon sign. I’d like comfortable, loungy furniture. A big masterpiece of a master bedroom and an equally luxurious master bath. I need a secure room in which to store my…souvenirs. And quick, discreet routes out of the house if someone does come snooping around.”

“Sounds doable. How much do I have to work with to make this haven of safety and romance come about?”

Donnell gets up. He comes back with a spaceage briefcase and the decanter of liquor. After topping up your glass, and his own, he opens the briefcase and shows it to you. “Go ahead and count it.”

You nod once you’ve finished counting it, “I can do a lot with this. How will I contact you when I’m done?”

“I’ll check back in with you when I get back in system.”

    “Sounds good.”

He smiles over the rim of his glass, trouble clearly being planned in his gaze. “Sounds very good.”

    THE BRIEF

    Bachelor pad with loungy furniture

    Luxurious master bedroom and bathroom

Camouflaged in some way or other

    Treasure Room

    Hidden escape routes

    Budget: 75,000

The deadline for this challenge is 31 October 2020

It is time for the designer showcase showdown! Please download the lot at https://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=9417829

In the showdown, you have a foundation and seven wall sections, each with a different color swatch. Place the lot on any lot sized 40x30 or larger, in any direction that will fit. Choose ONE of the seven color swatches. You need to use a shade of this color in some way in each of the rooms of your house. Using it on the exterior is optional. *NO changes to the foundation size or shape, except if adding stairs automatically adds a space.
*Pick only one color to showcase.
    *No basements.
*You can build in the yard as long as it is not attached to the house. Any required rooms cannot be off of the foundation.
*You can use any fences, walls, windows, and doors that you wish. You can designate any space on the foundation as a porch or room (so indoor or outdoor space).
*The lot must be fully landscaped.

    *At least 2 and a 1/2 bathrooms.
*A kitchen and place to eat.

*Any other rooms or areas you wish to include.
*The build can be as many floors as you want up but no basements.

    #BnS232 - The Collection

The deadline for this challenge is 30 November 2020

“Alexander Benedict? Where have I heard that name before?” You wonder aloud, setting aside your coffee.

“He’s a renowned explorer and collector. He has a knack for making rare discoveries and solving some of history’s mysteries along the way,” Rose reminds you.

“Oh, that’s right.” You’re anticipating the man’s arrival now, trying to imagine what he could possibly want. You don’t have long to wait, as Alex Benedict arrives minutes later.

He gives you a charming smile. “I’m running out of room for all my collections and I’m tired of people trying to break into my house to have a look,” he begins, getting right to the point as soon as introductions are exchanged.

‘I understand. How can we help?”You sense this will be more than a simple addition to an existing home and are excited by the prospect.

Alex leans forward in his chair. “I recently inherited a plot of land which would be perfect for a small museum. I’ve heard many good things about you, in particular from Mayor Rose Curtis and the Newcrest Town Council, so I’m confident you’ll be able to meet my needs.”

“It will be a pleasure working with you,” you reply. “What did you have in mind?”

“I’ve always had an interest in history, including architecture, so nothing too modern on the outside. It must have a food court.”

“We can certainly do that. What about budget?”

“I recently sold off a few specimens. Will $200,000 be enough?”

“It should be. We’re used to challenges around here.”

“Great I’m off to track a missing ship, but I should be back in two weeks.”

“Your museum will be ready by then. Good luck.”

“Thanks.” With a hearty handshake, Alex takes his leave.

    #BnS233 - A Winter Festival Miracle

The deadline for this challenge is 31 December

Snowflakes drift slowly down outside. Inside, you and your employees are having a holiday party, complete with holiday carols, eggnog, and Secret Father Winter presents. It is a Saturday, so the office is closed. Everyone is laughing at a joke that Karl/Rose just read from a Winter Festival cracker when one of the other employees waves to get your attention and points at the front doors.

Outside, a thin layer of snow on their various hats, stands a small group of hopeful teenagers. They smile and wave, so you unlock the door, wondering if they are carolers.

“Hello,” you say with holiday cheerfulness. “how can I help?”

A red-headed girl in a blue pom-pom hat pipes up, “We would love your help! We are from the local high school. Last summer, one of our favorite teachers, Miss Owens, came down with a rare illness. She was extremely sick for several months and ended up in the hospital. She had to sell her house to pay the hospital bills, and she has been homeless ever since. Winter Festival is her favorite holiday, and since the other teachers she usually stays with are going out of town, we want to give her a Winter Festival “miracle” by gifting her several nights stay in a local hotel. And maybe a special gift of some sort as well.”

Another teen, a blond and burly boy, picks up the story. “We are collecting money to help Miss Owen. She is a very special lady who always makes every student feel welcome and excited about her subject. She really has a gift. We want to give her something special back for all her patience and kindness. Would any of you be willing to donate a few dollars to help us help her?”

For a moment everything is silent in the office except for the carols. But you quickly recover from this special tale and invite the teens inside to warm up. You ask the young group several questions to get a better sense of their teacher’s situation. All your employees are also hanging on their words and thinking hard. Then you ask how much they have been able to raise so far.

“We have nearly $3,000.00 so far,” a male in a red parka offers. “All of the teachers and staff have put in what they could, and nearly all the students have donated, too. Some kids have pledged their lunch money for the next week to help Miss Owens.”

“A girl with very bright pink cheeks and bubble-gum pink hair adds, “We only just thought to try collecting from businesses. You are our first try. She gulps back tears as she begs you, “Oh, please say you will help us!”

You look around at your employees, and you can almost see the wheels turning in their minds.

“We will donate our time, right guys?” Says your construction manager, Jim. The construction crew all cheer their support of his statement.
Rose volunteers, “Instead of sending the flooring the last client decided was wrong, we can use that. Oh, and the cabinets and kitchen appliances that we were going to donate. I can contact the local thrift stores for furniture...”

Your man who contacts all the suppliers, Bob, butts in, “I bet we can can scrounge some supplies and materials from our suppliers if we explain the situation. And remind them of the season.” He smiles broadly as the others all laugh.

Your newest employee, Marvin from interior design, says, “And I happen to have a lot that I will donate. Since the wedding is now permanently off, I would rather see it go to a good cause then to have to brood over what might have been.”

You give Marvin a quick hug, and he smiles.

Other employees also speak up with ideas and donations. Within ten minutes, a plan to donate a small cottage to the teacher in great need is in the works. Several people are already on the phones, working hard with their connects to see just how much they can come up with.

You turn to the now hopeful and more cheerful teenagers. “Please, continue on to the other businesses, showing this business card to them and letting them know that we are willing to build Miss Owens a home. Any plants, furniture, building materials, or donations of money or services will be greatly appreciated. Let’s make this Winter Festival Miracle happen!”

The cheers and whistles drown out even the carols.

    #BnS234 - Winter Designer Showdown

The deadline for this challenge is 31 January 2021

It is time for the designer showcase showdown!

Please download the lot at Winter Designer Showdown BNS234 by TresaofPern - The Exchange - Community - The Sims 3

In the showdown, you have a foundation to start with.

Place the lot on any lot sized 30x20 or larger, in any direction that will fit. Your goal is to build a vacation retreat for either one person or a small family or group who want to celebrate in privacy or isolation, rather than having a huge party with lots of friends and family. The holiday can be any you like, for any season. You may not add anything to increase the size of the foundation given, except if adding stairs makes you add a space. You can build only on the foundation given. You can put walls of any kind and fences anywhere you wish on the foundation.

    Rules:

*NO changes to the foundation size or shape, except if adding stairs automatically adds a space

    THE BRIEF

*the budget is $75,000, which includes the lot as is.
    *The house should have:
    *At least 1 bedroom
    *At least 1 bathroom.
*A kitchen and place to eat.
*Any other rooms or areas you wish to include.
*The build can be as many floors as you want up but no basements.
*Please include a picture of the ground floor from overhead with the grid on so that we can verify no changes were made to the foundation.
Due to the nature of the build, there is not a Sims challenge this month.

    #BnS235 - The Bradley Bunch

The deadline for this challenge is 28 February 2021

"Come in," you call out when you hear a knock on the door.

You look up from the blueprints you were checking as the door opens and people start pouring into your office. You greet them and lead them over to the conference room so everyone can have a seat.

"Hello," the man says crisply. "I am Dan Bradley. And this beautiful lady is my bride-to-be, Agatha Hornsby." The woman flutters her fingers at you. "These three boys are mine. Henry is 15, Harold is 10, and Robbie is 6. Agatha's three girls are Katie, aged 14: Sherry is 9; and Mindy is 5. And this is our maid, Beatrice Woolworth."

You smile and nod at everyone.

"We are getting married next month," Mr. Bradley continues, "and we have decided to move into Agatha's house in Sunset Valley. The problem is that the house only has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Obviously, seven people need more in the way of space. We need a master bedroom with an ensuite. Beatrice needs her own bedroom and bathroom. All of the girls can share one bedroom, and all the boys can share another bedroom. We will need two more bathrooms for the kids, and a powder room on the main floor for guests. And all the usual rooms: a kitchen, a living room, a study, and a laundry room. A place to grill outside, and a place for the kids to play."

Agatha speaks up. "I love the look of my home, so can you keep the style of the house the same as much as possible? You can use any pieces of furniture from the house. Feel free to paint anything you wish to."

"Okay," you say, scanning your notes. "I just need to know the budget and the address."

"With our savings and the cash wedding presents, we have $70,000," Mr. Bradley says.
Agatha hands you the address on a sheet of paper. (Capitola A in Sunset Valley, 15 Maywood Lane -valued at $56,052 currently)

"That sounds great! I can certainly have that ready for you to move in by the end of this month," you say cheerily. "And congratulations on your wedding!"

    THE BRIEF

    *due February 28, 2021
*your budget is $70,000 over the current cost of the lot.
*remodel the current house on the lot to include the following:
    *a master bedroom with ensuite.

*a bedroom for the girls and another for the boys.

    #BnS236 - Empty Nest

The deadline for this challenge is 31 March 2021

You have just sat back down behind your desk opposite the elderly couple when the man speaks.

“We heard how you helped our friends when their homes flooded, and hope you can help us too,” Robin Nestlehut begins.

“I would love to help. Tell me what I can do for you,” you request, imagining that they must have lost their home in a similar natural disaster.

“It’s nothing like you must be thinking, please forgive us,” Robin’s wife, Wren, speaks up. “We have a big old farmhouse and a large farm to go with it.”

“Unfortunately, we can’t keep it up ourselves anymore and none of our children are interested in coming home to take it over, so we have to sell.” Robin looks away wistfully for a moment, then seems to brighten. “But we’ve decided to use the opportunity to downsize. We would like a small house with a small yard, which will be easier for us to care for.”

“Two bedrooms would be nice, one could serve as both a guest room and a hobby room,” Wren adds. “We’ll need two bathrooms as well.”

“Our favorite room in the farmhouse was the sunroom, so we would prefer a sunroom in the new house,” Robin requests.

“I think we can work with that. I hope you love your new home just as much as your old one,” you say.

    THE BRIEF

    *Budget: 35,000
    The house needs:
*At least 2 beds and 2 baths
*One room must double as a guest room and hobby room.
    *A sunroom
*The usual kitchen, living and dining areas.

    Sims Challenge

Create Robin and Wren Nestlehut and show them enjoying their new home. Be sure to show all of their outfits in the slideshow.
