I had no idea there was a thread for starter homes, and I've put several on the gallery recently! I will share these below. My username on the gallery is PriestessBizarre.
All are play tested, and there is no MOO, no other mods, and no CC.
Each of your starter homes are lovely! @PennyDreadPriestess I have posted about them on the sharing creations thread. The exterior designs and interior layout and furnishings are very nice!

Hi Everyone! I can see more lovely homes have been added since I was last here.
I'm really sorry, but for some reason I am no longer able to find people's creations on the gallery through the internet, to place links on my first post. If I make a search, nothing comes up.
If anyone who is not already on the first post would like their gallery id linked there, can you please post the link to me through a pm and I will be able to copy and paste it into my op.
@Metaphasic I generally aim for 20K or less for a starter. If you are moving in a larger family than 2 then you would get more money (I believe it is an additional 2K per extra member, but am not 100% sure on that).
@PennyDreadPriestess thank you, "the loft" was actually a non-starter build I adapted for a starter challenge to a starter build lol, glad you like it I see you prefer classic style houses, I often have a hard time building those, they look lovely! I have to admit, I lol'ed at modest schmodest's name

Yes, that's right. 20K for 1 sim, 22K for 2 sims, 24K for 3 sims etc. At least it was so some time ago. If they haven't changed the rules.
Don't forget, though, that you have to add the cost of the empty lot to the cost of your house.
i'm not actually happy with how this came out, but I've put it up anyway. It's shell only and maybe somebody with better skills can do something with it.
I was attempting to do something based on the waterfall style of art deco. It just didn't really work.
Waterfall Starter is a lovely starter home shell! @PennyDreadPriestess The exterior design, brick texture, and the curved raised front porch entrance are very nice!
BaseGame Starter is a lovely starter home! @chips46 Very nice exterior design, and the curved roofing looks great! Very pretty flowers and plants on the home edges! The dog statue near the front is homely and welcoming.
I have posted more on your showcase thread.

When you're in love, even a hut can be your Paradise.
Cute starter for a family with a child.
As always - no CC, playtested, absolutely playable.
Used bb.moveobjects
It was hard to make it under $20,000 but I managed.

Hold SHIFT while using the FRIEZE tool to apply it to a single wall, and not an entire room!
