What things would you like to see updated/implemented in the game before TS4 retires?

Been thinking about this since the announcement of TS5 beginning work on CAS. There's still some things that need some workshopping and adding into the franchise before TS4 retires. I'm just gonna preface this by saying ALL THE BUGS need to be fixed. I know that's optimistic of me, but I like to be optimistic about most things. Even if I'm disappointed, better than being bummed about things all the time.

Some things I'd like to see updated/added into the game: sims dancing together (as they did before in TS2), slow dancing would also be nice, as well as being able to propose while eating at a restaurant (any interactions while eating that aren't just talking would be kind of nice), add powers to mermaids and aliens (a livable alien world could be fun too), Veterinarian Degree in university, monogamy/polyamory lifestyle, more image selection for Clubs (this last one is a small cosmetic thing that really isn't high on my priority list, but would be nice). Jobs I wish my sims could have: repair person, maid, spa specialist, a proper landscaping/construction career.

What kinds of things would you like to see implemented/updated before the Sims 4 retires?

I agree about the bugs, I would prefer one or several years of continued support where they patch out all the bugs even if they are not making more packs.

Considering all the money we have spent on this game...I think that's fair to ask for.

@logion I could not agree more. The game is quite lacking and has quite a few issues that definitely should be addressed before they completely move onto the next phase.

Also, just thought of this, but it would be nice to be able to mail things to Sims that your active household knows. I know it's quite easy to invite someone over and just gift them things, but it seems a major oversight we've never been able to mail things.

    Updates
    - hair sliders : if this is possible for make up, it should be for hairs as well
    - being able to take babies out of their bassinet. I don't need massive options for them but just to be able to walk around with them, sit on the couch while feeding and easily changing the bassinet would be enough.
    - updated plantsims : make them a proper and permanent lifestate
    - preferences like color, food, favourite movie, weather,... to be set and changed in CAS. And I would like to decide myself if I my sim is left or right handed as well.

    Packs:
    - hotels done like the restaurants, no rabbit holes
    - werewolves (more occults are always better, but this is the one I really hope we get before sims 5
    - a fully residential sci-fi/fantasy world (after sylvan glade, sixam and the magic realm I finally want my sims to live in a world with such an esthetic)

There are of course many other things we could use as well. And not to forget the bug fixes

Bug fixes and personality improvement and make trait matters.

@Atreya33 Definitely agree with all of these, but especially about updating the Plant Sims. A few occults really haven't been given the proper care and treatment. Along with preferences, more robust personalities like sims had in S2. That's where 4 gameplay wise is really lacking.

I think we might get preferences at some point because we can now declare preference for a lot of things like weather, movies, etc. Sims even have a favorite drink, though you cannot set it.

i would like to see a skating pack i think that would be fun and diffrent

a world with a beach front, think something like sunset valley from sims 3

    more apartments

    more teen gameplay

@crocobaura would be nice if they'd give us the ability to set these things in CAS!

@adamzaid A beach front world would be excellent. As would more apartments, but also the ability for me to build my own apartments is something I desperately need. I agree more teen gameplay would be nice; more family things for whole families to do together would be nice as well.

Perhaps more updates to the core gameplay systems such as skills, personality refinements, interests, aspirations, whims, etc.

And most importantly, as many bug fixes as possible, solely for the people that enjoy The Sims 4 as it is. I really hope The Sims 5 will be an amazing product, especially for us TS2/TS3 fans that have been waiting for richer/challenging life simulation gameplay, in-depth Sim personalities, open world, and TS3-like creative tools. At the same time, I think it’s only right for TS4 fans to be left with a working game they enjoy before it gets retired.

I am still so much missing horses. And I would like other farm animals, too.
