Hotels could add more pool items and would be realistic to put in Sulani.
Pool items, casino stuff, breakfast item buffet, would all be good to add.

The breakfast buffet is cool, but I think I'd prefer a buffet that can be set for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. I grew up in Las Vegas, so I associate buffets with breakfast, lunch, brunch, and dinner  My family used to go to a brunch buffet sometimes. You could get prime rib and eggs benedict. Plus, there were bottomless mimosas and champagne. The most popular buffet was seafood with all you can eat crab legs.

I would love to see the return of the swim up bar from Sims 3. The hotel my mom used to work for had a water slide and waterfall. I've also seen swim up poker and black jack tables. We already have Spa Day and Dine Out, but a lot of fancy hotels have spas and fine dining. Las Vegas has night clubs in some of their hotels. MGM used to have a small theme park, but they got rid of it when I was a teenager. I guess I'm thinking of hotel resorts instead of the standard hotel (Holiday Inn, Days Inn, etc.).

That would be nice to be able too set the buffet table for various times of day. I just figured since we already got one buffet table in luxury stuff, they might not want to do something too similar. And many hotels have morning buffets.

Yes I remember one buffet that had seafood years ago. My husband loved the crab legs. We took our kids to the theme park at the MGM, I actually liked it, it wasn’t crowded. And Kenny Rogers chicken place was so good, I loved the little shops.. I think a swim up bar would be great too. I really want stuff to make a hotel casino.

I miss the swim up bars from Sims 3 too.

Swimming pools are still missing a lot. I'm hoping if we get Resorts pools will get more attention but I'd rather we get a Pool Stuffpack so they get 100% focused on. I still can't believe there are no poolslides and pool waterfalls.

I have said for a while to a few friends who also play Sims that I would not be surprised to see some sort of "Hotel and Casino" expansion pack at some point that would also allow hotel lots to be build anywhere (likely through a base game patch).

(I'm been redoing my gallery stuff so bear with me. FYI: I never use CC on my gallery builds. I rarely use MOO.) I am usually more pleased with my room builds than my lot builds.

We are getting Haunted Houses as a House Type in a Stuff Pack - just like we got Tiny Houses. So I think that's how we could get Hotels - we build a Hotel, and the Townies come in and out of our Torture Palace.

Because you know that's what people will build.

And that would mean that Casinos would come in a separate pack.
Prepping a list of mods to add after Infants are placed into the game. Because real life isn't 'nice'.

Trouble is to make hotels haunted you'd need to use the spooky lot trait.

I'm pretty sure that this can be done with just the haunted lot trait. I believe that SimGuruConer said to use both haunted and spooky lot trait for a better chance to get the haunted effect.
The pool slides and waterfalls were cool too.

But, will we be able to use this on a lot other than residential? I was hoping we could make a haunted house that was a community lot, like a hotel. Rental, restaurant, lounge bar, even a library, but I don’t think we are going to be able to do that. I hope I’m wrong.

I think Tiny Living Stuff and Paranormal Stuff are a hint at how Hotels and Casinos will be introduced.

I don't see why we can't. Residential lots in RL are not the only haunted places in the world. A lot of your hotels and hospitals are haunted as well. Rental lots can be too since some of them are homes. Hauntings usually take place where someone has died in a terrible way. And that place can be anywhere, including those that you have mentioned. In a small backwoods town that's about a 20 minute drive south of me. There's a small old cemetery on a small hill that is said to be haunted by it's former grounds keeper. Urban legend states that the cemetery's ground keeper died in a horrible way in that cemetery. The legend also states that he still haunts that cemetery to this day. And he supposedly died there many, many years ago. Something like 50 + years ago.

Spooky Lot Trait is the new name for Haunted Lot Trait. The name was Changed to Spooky in the Update. We can't apply the haunted lot type to hotels so we'll have to use the haunted lot trait.

You won't be able to make a community lot type a haunted house lot type but you can add the spooky trait to it.

Yeah, I know. The Gurus themselves have said that they had changed the name of that lot trait to avoid confusion which makes sense.

This isn’t hotels but like, what about... walking? Sims can go pretty far in Snowy Escape. It’s almost- almooost open world.

You won't be able to make a community lot type a haunted house lot type but you can add the spooky trait to it.
It just occurred to me CLP, they can create a haunted lot type for non-residential lots. So we still can get a haunted lot type for hotels.

I'd say that Paranormal is a sign of how Sims 4 is planning to do these other kinds of lots. They gave you an option to change a lot into a 'Haunted House Residential'. This is a way that future packs can change it into a 'Hotel' lot for a different kind of game.

Or like I was saying, Paranormal might be a gateway to having haunted lots that are non-residential lots.

It's a nice idea, but they are only a Stuff Pack team.

One easy way would be to add a haunted community lot type for all community lots. This also includes generic lots. I've mentioned this to the gurus on Twitter.

I found two unique references to bellhops in Snowy Escape build/buy text. The first, the Scandalous Snow Dreams Nightstand, can be found in the standard buy catalog and references a bellhop. The second, found either via a Simi Vending machine or in buy debug is a bellhop Simi. Screenshots of both can be found at the bottom of this post. In the past, I've found most speculative text and hints to be quite open to interpretation. But in this case, a bellhop has a very clear definition and a very clear association with hospitality. The fact that they are referenced twice in Snowy Escape does not seem like a coincidence to me. Of course, it could be, but given past surveys, the new ability to vacation to any world, and general player demand, I think these references paint a clear picture.

I certainly do think hotels/resorts are coming in 2021, how they arrive is the real topic for speculation in my opinion. I'd imagine they could arrive in game pack in early February, alongside a romance overhaul (another frequent player request), just in time for Valentines day. This could give the team a fun chance to include items like the Vibrating Heart-Shaped bed that would fit well with both themes. Strangerville arrived on Feb 26, 2019. If they were to keep a somewhat similar release schedule, moving the date up by just two weeks, such a pack could release on Feb 11, three days before Valentines day.

At any rate, I would love for hotels/resorts to arrive in a GP without a new world. I'd much rather have a thorough and exciting hotel experience that caters to those wishing to run a hotel and those wishing to stay at one, instead of a so-so hotel experience that comes with a micro-world too small to create any real sense of community.

I've tried, but I don't understand how is that supposed to be a "clear hint at hotels". I very likely lack some pop-culture reference, and what's said there seems quite random to me. What is even a "bellhop" and how is it tied to hotels?
    Can anyone explain?
I like fantasy and a bit of Sci-Fi. Want to know what I'm reading?

A bellhop is a hotel employee who escorts guests to rooms, assists them with luggage, and runs errands.

Is there even such a thing as bellhops these days? The last time that I was in a hotel, there were no bellhops anywhere in that hotel. And this was no 35 dollars a night hotel that I was in the last time that I was in a hotel.

Last hotel for me was Mexico, definitely had bellhops. Before that...none in Toronto, Halifax, or Vancouver. But definitely a lot in Texas. Maybe it's just not a Canadian thing anymore?

The last time that I had stayed at a hotel in Big D, ( Dallas, TX ), there were no bellhops. And this too was no cheap hotel. And that was something like 30+ years ago. But it's nice to know that there some countries in the world where some of the hotels still have bellhops.
