I will be happy if it will improve ghosts in any way to make them more scary and actually feel like ghosts. Or maybe it will be ghost babies

@Dakota88 There was evidence the next pack would be a stuff pack, wasn't there? Something about an icon going up then being taken down again? It might not be too long till another pack comes along. I'm still, like a fool, hoping for a Romance pack in February.

Yes there was a leaked stuffpack icon that got put on Origin in September.

I don't play occults but if it has graveyards I'll get it.

Bonehilda, ghost hunting career, ouija boards and Reaper career would be neat too.
    Happy simming!

There are hints on Twitter for something with ghosts. I hate it. I am happy for the people who like this kind of stuff, and I know lots of you will be excited and I am really happy for you.

But I am SO disappointed. This is another pack after Batuu that I probably will never buy. I was hoping for something family related, teen stuff. Now I will have to wait another 4-6 months for content I like... :( I've been waiting since Parenthood.

I don't think it will be that long a wait
more for sim kids and more drama please

I so knew it was Occult year even before they announced a new Ghost pack.
However, I was actually hoping for my Fairies or Werewolves first. Oh well, I still have my Sims 3 Supernatural to play with for now.

I'm still going to hold on to a loose hope that we'll get a second occult-ish pack this year. Kinda like how (looking at the release calendar) 2019 had Strangerville, Mermaids in island living, and Realm of Magic.

So maybe 2021 will be Happy Haunts, High school (or Generations) with Werewolves (Is Teen Wolf still a thing? I'm more familiar with the Michael J Fox movie) and Faeries

And if we get that, I'm 1) buying a lottery ticket and 2) gonna be happy with whatever else the Sims 4 wants to put out before we transition to Sims 5.

It defintely seems like we're getting Happy Haunts, but I too am holding out hope that we get a second occult pack this year.

Based on the hints that have been around lately, a music or band themed pack also seems quite probable.

So as far as realistic guesses go, I'm going to say we're getting
    - Happy Haunts
    - Band/Music based pack.

Now, as for content I'd love to have before we transition into Sims 5, that's a little bit more hopeful/dreamy.

    - Superheroes (One of my absolute dream packs)
    - Gods or Maybe Elementals
    - Demons and Angels
    - Faeries
    - Werewolves

    - Some kind of pack that introduces Zoos.
    - Some kind of pack that adds more to teenagers
    - Some kind of pack (or even just a patch) that adds more to romance

    World Types I'd love see
    - Scottish Highlands
    - Nordic Inspired World
    - Beachside town (not like Sulani where it's a tropical paradise. Something more like Virginia Beach in real life.)

While they aren't dream packs of mine, I defintely wouldn't mind a generations pack or a pack that includes farming. I don't think I want a pack entirely centered around farming as I wouldn't use that feature much at all, but a country themed pack that features farming? I'd be cool with that, so long as they added other things too. Like maybe a mechanical bull your Sims can ride, hoe-down/rodeo, line dancing, etc.

My (totally random) guess is: Hotel/resorts GP with romance elements for an end of winter release, High School EP for summer release, Bands GP for fall release, Family Life EP for fall release.

my wish would be if they become the two nichs of familiar and occult players and in generation pack bring the imaginary friend back.

the problem is that they insist on leaving limited occult on expansions, i would love a rework on the series and aliens
because basically if we ever have a farm pack, fairies could easily be included by land connection or even werewolves.

Now that Happy Haunts is pretty much a given, I'm thinking a bands expansion in June... but drawing a blank on what their fall game pack would be? I'd be rooting for werewolves for all the supernatural fans, but not sure they'd do two occult packs in one year. Maybe a school game pack, with a baby stuff pack over the summer?

Anyone think they may go back and update some old packs this year? I don't think it would impact the new content release schedule, as updating packs isn't really a money-maker (unless they *really* update packs). I've always stayed away from Dine Out, with all the complaints about its poor implementation, but the question is sort of in the back of my mind as we head into the new year.

In 2019, they did release Island Living (which included mermaids, although very limited ones) and Realm of Magic. So although Island Living wasn't really an occult pack, we did get 2 occult life states that year, so it's POSSIBLE. And I'm certainty hoping will happen again, but I don't want to get my hopes up too much.

And I would absolutely love it if they would go back and update some of the older packs, but I don't know how likely that would be. It would certainty be nice though.

I would love a Sims 4 Castaway Expansion Pack with a Genie in June or a Showcase with a Genie, either one would be so cool. B)

After all the romance and crime references in Snowy Escape's item description - and the Porc Du Jour pig the gurus were referencing last year - I'm hoping we'll get a Romance pack this year based in Paris, with a sideline in "To Catch a Thief"-like heists. I think someone else on the forum last year brought up "To Catch a Thief" when we were speculating about the Paris 'leak', and it could work really well - most packs come with a new skill or two, and with all the focus on crafting lately, jewellery-making (and maybe perfume-making?) could work really well. We've had crystals in the game since forever, and the pointless ability to refine them, let us actually do something with them. It could work like the clothing in Nifty Knitting, once the item's been crafted and added to a wardrobe, then a sim can use it in CAS. At which point, having a museum filled with high-skill jewellery, which can be robbed, would fit pretty well. I know they could just do a Romance update to the base game, and add burglars back in, but now I'd really like a "City of Romance" world. I'm hoping the hints are pointing to it, but I don't want to talk too much about it because I'll only end up disappointed when it doesn't happen. February would make the most sense, for me, for a Romance pack, which would probably make it a game pack - but they could easily do enough with all this (and adding in a bunch of themes, like they did in Snowy Escape) for it to be an Expansion Pack.

Then I'm really expecting Farming this year, just because it's been talked about for so long I don't know how much longer we'd wait. I'm thinking the June expansion for it - hopefully including horses and 'ranching' - but given that there's a lot of gardening systems already in Seasons, I don't know what else they could add to that, so it could also easily be a Game Pack. Mostly if it does come, I'm hoping for more off-the-grid/rustic stuff - I mostly play a very technology-averse family, so not being to make tea in a teapot, or write books on a typewriter (or I don't know, PAPER) is really frustrating. Horses seem like a good fit for a pack like this, and I guess to include them well would need an Expansion Pack - but a Game Pack in spring, when all the plants start to bloom again, would be pretty appropriate too.

Honestly if we got those packs I think I'd be incredibly happy and not feel the need for anything else, but finally getting cars would be great too - I feel like all the multi-storey carparks and roads in the latest worlds are a hint, and it would just tick them off for me. I know you probably won't be able to ride anywhere much in them, but having something for materialistic Sims to spend money on, handy Sims to work on, and just to make going to work feel like it has a bit more personality would be great. People have suggested it'd be a free base game update, and if so I'd hope there was also a Game Pack based around cars to expand on the theme too - let Sims really be motorheads, or sports car collectors, or racers in a meaningful way, and maybe with a world that's perfect to drive around in, like the swimming in Sulani.

Honestly if I got all of these, I think I'd be pretty happy with anything else they wanted to put out in the future. There are other things I want, like werewolves (meaningful) and the Chinese countryside vacation they mentioned in a recent survey, and there are other things I'd be thrilled by but don't expect. But with these packs I feel like I'd be satisfied, and I hope the hints I've seen are actual hints and not just me imagining things at this point.

Hotels, Casinos, Romance, and Heists - That would be a pretty awesome expansion pack. I mean, I have no real interest in a Romance pack on its own, but as a sub-theme or a co-theme with something else I think it would be great.

Romance is very tricky, as obviously there's plenty of it in the game already. But I like stories about a sort of unspoken attraction, so it would be nice to have a way for Sims to be attracted to each other that isn't either a) they full on make a move on each other, or b) they smelt the right candle so they're ready to flirt with anyone. Even for the flirting in-game, I'd like something more subtle than openly blowing kisses at each other. An attraction system, so Sims can be attracted or repulsed based on personality or looks, or even just a set of romantic activities that might give people a romantic sentiment, would go some way towards doing that. Hopefully a Romantic Getaway pack is coming, but we'll see!

Like others have said, something with music seems likely. I really think farming has a chance this year, especially after people were so upset about the false country promo (was eco pack). I know another survey where time travel was a big contender, no idea when/if that would come though. I would love a romance/heist pack!

This is another pack after Batuu that I probably will never buy.

How's that a bad thing? Despite what most marketers would want you to believe, you don't have to like, let alone buy, every pack.

Now, there are a few ideas I'd be very skeptical about it. First is anything inspired by reality or other franchises - those turned out to be massive failures before, right? (Katy Perry something in TS3, Batuu now)
Second, a gambling pack is a no-go for a Teen-rated game. This is just way too risky from a legal standpoint because they'd need to approach it in a way that wouldn't break gambling laws in ALL the countries the game is sold, more so with the 12+ age rating in mind. Not gonna happen when there are modders doing all kinds of 18+ stuff.

Then, there are things that are requested by different playerbase groups. I think an occult GP might be on the line for autumn (would be 2 years after RoM). Dragons... I am someone who likes dragons and elves in my books, but I doubt any of them would appear in TS4. Maybe I'll be surprised, but not expecting that, to be honest. Romance pack is also something I'd not see likely - it'd be tough to not cannibalize Romantic Garden SP in the CAS department. Likewise, Generations pack is something I don't consider likely, at least not as an EP, considering that Parenthood covered many aspects of that (and, for me, way better than the RNG fest TS3 Generations were).
Of the popular options, a farming EP could be coming sooner or later (and it'd be a decent fit for summer release), but some of the features people saw for it (OTG, mostly) were already covered at least somewhat. Sure, probably not in a way that'd rule it out completely, but there was a touch.
The latest non-occult GPs (Batuu, Strangerville) also tried a story-element, so this may be something to keep in mind - if there's something that may have a story aspect, it may be the Spring GP.
I like fantasy and a bit of Sci-Fi. Want to know what I'm reading?
I also like wandering the hills.

I'm wondering if we're going to get a game pack with a March release this year because of the massive surge in popularity the game experienced in 2020.

    What I think is coming:
    -Bands (Expansion?)
    -High school pack (Game pack)

    What I want:
-Farming-maybe as a game pack, although I kind of suspect they might do it as a summer stuff pack. I don't care about horses but I really want cows, chickens, and pigs!
-Generations, or at least more gameplay for kids, teens, and elders (EP)
-A romance pack-this would go perfectly with hotels, bed & breakfasts, etc. (Game pack)

For occults I want a new kind of monster, but I'm not sure how it would fit in or what the theme would be.

Well, farming has to do with farm animals, I mean I have my friend's family loving horses, and cows, and pigs, and chickens. Horses, cows, pigs, and chickens are farm animals to take care of, and that's a part of the whole earth, I like it!

We are missing certain types of makeup - we have makeup that's good if you're a face-painter, but not so much if you're just putting on some lipstick. For example, we're missing heavy-goth.
