Still...I'll take playing TS4 over watching the movie again. Didn't care too much for it But I love your comparison and think the game would benefit from more traits/emotion
I never saw the movie, But I would like Fear. the game needs Darkness and Chaos. I'm sick of the positive Happy Goofy Sims. there needs to be a medium, Honestly seeing my sims quiver with fear and the expression of no hope, would bring a smile to my face.
The world of literature has known since the beginning that a good story needs a antagonist, it is the essence of what creates a good storyline or intense drama. Books, magazines, various writings, movies and games all use antagonists because without one or more, a book, movie or game would have very little to offer. So yes, the Sims do need antagonists! I always wondered what it would be like to have vandals, bullies or even murderers loose in a sim town. Not knowing if your sim would run into "Biker Joe" at the bar and be bullied and or beat up by this rough tough mean and nasty societal maniac would be adventurous to say the least. Would you try to fight him and risk getting your sim pummeled? Or would you run? Would you hide somewhere on the lot you are in and hope he doesn't find you?
What if you were watching your sim family sleep deeply in the middle of the night and you noticed some creep slinking up to your property and up to your door. What if he was able to actually break in, but your family didn't detect him at all and just kept on sleeping as he crept closer and closer to the bedroom door with some sort of weapon in his hands. What if your beloved sim family just wouldn't wake up for you as he approached the bed where they lay sleeping?
Sims 3 had somewhat of an antagonist in a few areas. In Seasons the weather became sort of an antagonist as sims could get sun burned or could actually freeze to death in the cold. A daredevil sim could set him or herself on fire. And anyone who uses the NRaas mod of story progression has probably experienced being publically denounced and had their name slandered for no reason. The ani_drinks mod which allows sims to get drunk in sims 3 worked as a good antagonist too, because sims could get so addicted to drinking bar drinks that they could do little else in a sim day but stand around the bar drinking drink after drink all day long, which became sort of an antagonist in itself.
I totally agree... we need more antagonistic approaches, spice things up some :)
I'd love to have fear and disgust emotions and honest as a trait. Inside Out did remind me of the Sims 4 a little. Another thing that is missing that the movie had that the game doesn't are fleshed out memories both short and long term.

Inside Out automatically wins over any video game in my personal opinion
Hopefully they will add a Scared and Disgusted Emotion to the mix, there aren't that many things in the game that could cause a Scared Emotion but with Disgusted, they could easily add Favourites and Least Favourites and compliment it with a Disgusted Emotion. As for an Honesty Trait, all I could really see it doing is removing any Interactions like 'Invite To Fake Party', and possibly adding Interactions that could increase an already positive Relationship or decrease an already negative Relationship by getting the Interaction 'Reveal True Feelings'.
Live your life to the fullest, don't wait for a miracle to happen, be the miracle to make things happen.
Sometimes your creativity is limited where you use it most, but you can use those limitations to inspire new forms of creativity you may never have thought of beforehand.
We have some differential in emotions, but they usually depend on outside sources like objects. Sims should occasionally just wake up inspired, lazy, etc.
I still think Fear emotion and Honesty value would add a new gameplay.
The sims could lie and pretend to be somebody else not like the mischief way which gets no consequence.
For example, a sim is cheating but the lover see it, a good lie could save the situation... or not if trust is lost after too many lies.
The sims would be less naive and would learn be a trustworthy person.

Disgust - Uncomfortable
Not really because Mortified is Very Embarrassed.
Fear is also anxiety, anguish and paranoid. Just Mortified is Very Socially Uncomfortable.
Disgust / Uncomfortable ? Why not but only when they ate a bad food.

The Sims 4 General DiscussionI'd make them with the traits of Evil & Slob so that others can have Fear & Disgust in them. B)
Also I would use Snob for Disgust since that's how Disgust acted in the movie. :)
