Looks like EA is putting a lot of money into marketing side of things. Don't know how I feel about it but just thought it was worth a share within the forums
Saw on twitter that they did another collab with another k-pop person that I really don't care about. It is like they are trying to appeal to a new audience. Fixing core issues with gameplay features instead would be a better way to gain more players, but that would just be common sense.
but I like this regardless. I'm a fan of hers and MAMAMOO. Still, I can understand simmers being disappointed and wanting something more than just an MV collab with a K-pop idol.
Though my soul may set in darkness, it will rise in perfect light;
I have loved the stars too truly to be fearful of the night.

The game is played worldwide, not just western countries. Why shouldn't they promote in Asia? Plus marketing is done by a totally different team to the developers, making ads doesn't take away from development time at all and is done by different people.
I found it more interesting how they showed a concert scene in the trailer. Given that there's been talk about a band pack it would make sense and could easily be their way of teasing it

I noticed that too and was wondering. She was holding a mic in her hand and singing, I hope this is a hint for better music careers

Marketing would work if the core gameplay features were fixed. As it is now, that ad showed features that are nothing more then lies. Suit yourself in enjoying it. Personally, I see is as pointless lies to trick new people into buying a broken product.
Although I have a fond love for music from all over the world, celtic especially.
I'm team kpop at the way!!!! If this is true it's very exciting! 🤤🤤🤤🤤 I asked for it in the survey when they asked about collabs.
Though I can see how older simmers might not be too thrilled. 😅😅
I don't know if sims would ever do something that complex but I'm dreaming of dance groups 🤩
The video used the singing animations from city living. It had people sitting in what looks like a school setting, which we can not do in-game. As soon as I saw that, It did not matter, as the "collab" just became a video of lies.
Okay I just watched the video. Everything they showed are things we can do in game so no lies. BUT!! They flashed a class room!!! Like super quick!!! Lololol 😂😱
Well I am clearly not the target audience... somehow I feel that a korean kpop music video is not improving the game or making me more interested in the game in any way.
All these collabs with music artists and no band/music pack? It better be coming, a band pack is literally the only thing I have been wanting to see get added in over 3yrs. There are other things I want but I want bands more then anything and in general better live performances at bars/lounges.
In Asia, Hwusa is popular especially in Southeast and East Asia. I have many of my friends who are fan of her and are actually excited and got curious what the game is all about. This is a big step forward for EA as we know since mostly they have The Sims for America and Europe. Having advertisements in different parts of the world that would actually relate to them is actually helpful since each country has different culture.
In the Philippines Hwasa is very popular, alongside with many other Kpop groups to people aged 15 and up (EA target audience probably). So I can see this one to be as great investment to them. Not to mention, the korean music industry is huge. It also had a huge fanbase in Japan. So I would understand why they would invest to this.
"Well it's official: the Sims 4 has announced a K-pop collab for a surprise December update, complete with a new Sims 4 trailer, new Sims 4 gallery items/ sims to download."
This is really cool! The song very soulful too. Been wanting something Sims x Kpop related for a long time! Happy for this and MAMAMOO is very talented
The Sims has currently lost its identity. Bring it back for TS5

As much as I love J-Pop K-Pop etc I agree fixing issues in the game will win over more players. Fix what is broken first then worry about adding in content for a niche crowd. I really love K-Pop and J-Pop but it should have been something in the "Get Famous" pack that cost too much for so very little. I could rant on but I won't.
Playtesting - not just tabletop games and card games any more. Really that should have been playtested in Beta and not

Do not want. I block all those little k-pop spammers on twitter.

I could be wrong it could really be lies but what if all of these ads are hints to upcoming packs?😌

It's more then just a song according to video.
Personality,depth,humor,consequences,lore,customization.
