I've not seen information either way on that one.

Is chingyu's (vicky sims) 100+ More traits mod broken? Whenever I press get to know interaction on a sim that possess her trait, it still shows in the relationship panel that that sim does not know that trait (says "unknown trait").

@Katcat16 That's pretty common for a lot of custom traits.
@luthienrising Just downloaded and installed not to long ago. Happy that it's finally here and big ludos to andrew + the many simmers who gave him insight to make it happen. Now hoping for Maxis to fix the GT Doors + Windows, plus the reflections in mirrors in the upcoming patch.

    HEADS UP

Tomorrow (November 10) is Patch Day, and since that's an EP-scale patch, there will be a new Broken Mods thread. I'll try to fit in updating p. 1 of this thread today, before that happens.

I think we all are! Patch day means no playing with our regular (modded and custom content full) families until things get fixed. (It feels like a never ending cycle.)

I have spent some considerable time ensuring I have everything perfect with my sims 4 neighborhoods including sims, animals and lots then backed up my whole folder this time-) Then for the patch and snowy (my sims need to ski badly-) I will start a new folder completely to assess any bugs/issues and once I have done that and my mods are back up to date I will play my whole saved folder with snowy in it again :)

Nothing scary about it. This happens all the time. Just assume every mod is broken and check with the mod author to see what they say. Most will respond within a day. I usually respond and post an update on my mods within an hour or two after the patch comes out.

Then it's just a matter of waiting until updates are posted. Watch the post by @luthienrising which will show where to get them, which ones are updated and such.

Most of us have been through this dozens of times so it's old hat.

If you get tired of waiting for updates, just start a NEW save and play that until the updates come out.

It'll be a great time to learn a bit about how to build with platforms :)

    Hi @gettps

I am not in any way getting at mod creators like yourself or not prepared to wait for mod updates heck if it wasn't for modders like yourself I would not be able to play the game as I like to. I started to feel scared of patches because the last couple of patches (without mods being involved) messed my game up in a way that i had never experienced before and it looks like other players are feeling the same way that's all.

That is likely the case, for the pack only, not the patch.

Well, unfortunately you're not wrong. The ECO patch had some severe bugs that broke some saves. The sims were recoverable/fixable but it took quite some work. (Mine took two days to fix)

It may not be a bad idea to wait a while and watch the EA Answers and see what players are saying in the bugs forum. Players there are pretty quick to report problems. But since you have to wait anyway for mod updates, by that time there should be plenty of reports on bugs in the EA Answers forums.

I know the patch does not come out until tomorrow at 1pm EST, and I've already backed up my saves folder and mods folder. I assume there will be a new thread added for the new patch's associated broken mods list. But, I'll be at work at the time. Could someone (Luthienrising?) please post a link (Luthienrising, I'll assume you'll also post the link to twitter)? Thank you, Luthienrising, for all the hard work you put in keeping us up to date on this forum! It's been a life saver for my game this past year I've been playing Sims 4!

@BFIrrera I'll definitely be posting a link on Twitter as soon as I have the new thread up :) It will be in this same category.

Why's that? I never patch on the day. I just turn Origin offline and play to my heart's content while watching threads like this fill up with updated mod reports. I don't miss out on no gallery access for that time at all.

And then about a week later, I take out my basket full of updated mods and spend an hour or so preparing to finally pull the trigger on the patch. Worked out well so far.

I make sure that everything is ready and that my save file is backed up. Unfortunately, I don't like playing without my mods and CC. And although I plan to do as DarkAudit says, I need to make sure that I don't need to exit the game before it's time to put in the new EP. (Which I'm really looking forward to having.) I'm at the end of a "10 Generation Legacy" which I want to complete before I install the new EP. (I tend to be in the game and then exit it quite frequently, mostly to spend time working with my mod file with S4S.)

    Hi,
Bienchen posted some mod updates nov 9. If you aren't patching the game right away, they'd stilll be good to update, so I decided to post here. :)
