Hello, all. I'm a "veteran" simmer, my first game was the third one, but I've been playing Sims 3 and 4 for roughly a decade now. Decided to finally make an account and see what's up. I really enjoy making Sims and I'm hoping I can find someplace to share screenshots of them. My name is my main Sim's initials, but I'll probably try to change it in the future.

Hi, my name is Ceci and I've been playing Sims for almost 20 years now. I played Sims 1 as a kid, and have basically kept playing every new version up until Sims 4. Even though I've been playing the Sims for so long, I actually have never been part of the community. I finally started modding the Sims for the first time this year, and am now learning about all these forums and am super excited to get more familiar with the community and everyone here. I'm hoping to become a fully fledged Forum member so that I can make a suggestion on the "The Sims 4 Ideas Corner" for a very simple change in the Sims 4 UI. Anyways, I'm super excited continue learning more about the community and meet new people that love Simming as much as I do :)

Hello everyone! My name is Alyssa/Lyss and today is my first day on the forums! 😁

The Sims 3 was my first sims game and it was the first game I had bought to play that wasn't Minecraft! 😂 I don't remember when I got The Sims 3 but I know it has been a few years and now I enjoy The Sims 4! I would love to eventually have all of the extra content and packs to go along with it because I enjoy recording YouTube videos as well. :) I am currently doing the Disney Princess Challenge and this has been the longest I have ever lasted in a challenge because I used to always get bored 😂😂 I am looking forward to being more active here on the forums!

    Thanks for reading! 💛

Finally found somewhere I can actually post. Just wanna note that when I click on the forum rules, I'm met with a "You don't have permission to do that" message. I'll keep things tame, but if I do break a rule, I apologize as I cannot.... read them....

Anyways I just hopped in here because I wanted to share a funny story that just happened to me in game. Y'know how some people report having issues with the Doctor Lv8 objective to deliver a baby? Well I just got a glitch there, and boy was it insulting in the funniest of ways.

I'm trying to rush the career to Lv10, so I come in there with a bunch of moodlets. Yoga, Clean clothes, foot massage, vampire focus, just as many focus buffs as I can possibly think to stack on myself. The hospital opens, and BOOM, right off the bat, a pregnant sim walks in. I escort her to the operating table, normal as can be. The operation is a complete success. The baby spawns and gets settled in its little crib thingy.

    ..

Then everything changed when the lady got up off the table and walked away without the baby. I was confused at first. I didn't know how it was supposed to happen. I waited a few moments, fully expecting her to come back. I scroll over to her, only to see her having a conversation with herself in the bathroom mirror. And she's also covered in grime now. Somehow *that* happened in the time it took her to walk down the hall.

At this point, I decide to go fetch the lady and see if we can't sort this out. That's when I realize... I can't move. This mad-lad handcuffed me to the operating table with the baby. I am locked in the animation. Can't cancel out of it, and I'm not getting any credit for delivering the baby. Mommy irresponsible is off mopping up puddles in the employees only area for some reason.

Not only that, but this surgery was the *first* thing I did that day, and am now unable to do any more work. So I get to fast forward through my entire work day, watching this mud-laden lady socialize with the other patients in the lobby while I'm glued to the operating table, listening to the game giving me messages that the baby is gonna get taken away by CPS because nobody is feeding it.

The day ends, I get sent home with a big phat 'F' and a frowny face on my report card, and I still have no idea what happened to the baby.

Your Doctor Sim didn’t have a very good workday :( I hope that the next time you play it turns out better! It sounds like there was a glitch in the game.

    Happy simming! :)

I suppose I'll also introduce myself,

I go by PixieWarrior115 and I joined The Sims forums literally a few minutes ago, primarily because I wanted to suggest something that I think would make the game a little more enjoyable, but since I'm just a new member, unfortunately, I'm unable to do so. While I'm here I've decided to get to know The Sims community a little better and take a look at all of the other things here.

I've only played one version of The Sims so far, which is The Sims 4. I'm pretty sure I started playing around 2016-2017. At the moment I'm playing a world where my boyfriend and I made our own characters, it's really fun and has definitely kept us occupied during quarantine haha. I feel like it's more fun to play The Sims when you create a little bit of a background for your sim(s).

Thanks for reading and as most of you say,

    Happy Simming!

It is very nice that you started simming by playing Sims 4 and that you and your boyfriend have made your own simself versions to play in your game :) They would be very special sims in your game! Many simmers are like you and have found that simming has helped through the quarantine time.
I hope you will enjoy reading and posting on the forum threads.

    I guess I'll introduce myself? Idon'tknowhowtodothis.

Hello, and greetings from Finland! I'm Jade, and I've been playing Sims since I was a kid. 🙂 (of course, I only actually got interested in properly playing few years ago) I joined just now because I kinda just want to meet fellow simmers, get to know the community and chat here from time to time. The Sims 2 was my first game, but I've played The Sims 4 a lot for a few years. Also I installed the third game on my laptop, and it runs ok, so I can play that as well now, finally! 😆 (Hoping to play the second one as well some day again.) I enjoy making sims and playing with them (can be just a regular game or a challenge, I love playing them with my own vague rules). I also do like building. (But I don't think I'm that good at it.) Simply put, I love The Sims.

A bit awkward text, but thanks for reading, bye! ❤

Hello. I'm a bit of a newbie Simmer, only started playing the game back in February of this year. I live in Melbourne, and we've been in a pretty hard lockdown recently, so the Sims has been an absolute lifeline of boredom busting for me. I play Grim as a character in my game, with an increasingly large Reaper family (hence the user name, plus it's a reference to a song from one of my all time favourite bands). Game packs I own so far are Seasons, Cats and Dogs, Get Together, Realm of Magic & Get To Work; not sure I'll be able to add any new ones until I upgrade my computer though. Nice to meet everyone. Happy Simming! Or in my case Happy Grimming!
Occult Simmer (All Occult All The Time)

    Female Simmer from Australia (she/her)

I had one of my Sims marry the Grim Reaper & now they have a lot of kids.

It is lovely that you received Sims 4 for Christmas last year and that it led you to becoming a simmer. It was a very special gift to receive and is a gift that you can enjoy using all through the year!

    Hi Simmers!
I'm Emily, and I first started playing Sims over 14 years ago! This started when a school friend of mine introduced me to the world with the original Sims game at a sleepover. Every weekend we'd spend hours creating ourselves and childhood crushes in-game, and plan out super elaborate storylines to live vicariously through. And it seems nothing has changed since then because here I am now still doing as much...(well save from the whole crush thing...) and now I've also started to share some of my efforts over on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCm3iY0GiaPd-e4NdMXSo1-w?

I specialise in speedbuilds and machinimas but I'm still very much a newbie so any constructive criticism, feedback, and support would be greatly appreciated! I live in England and we've just entered another national lockdown so anticipating getting some new videos up in the coming weeks! 😊 I've also started adding my builds and families to my EA gallery which can be found here: shorturl.at/cjDHZ or by searching for the EA id: SeeEmilyPlaySims (and unticking the maxis curated box under advanced) so feel free to have a nose and check out my style. At the moment I'm in a autumny/halloweeny mood so that's the vibe I've got going 😅

    Great to meet you all!

hello! i'm valkyrie and i've been playing since the sims first came out. i recently got really into the sims 4 in the last year, and have been lurking in the community a little! (mostly on tumblr under the username valkyrieplays.) i'm a CAS addict, and can easily spend 4+ hours on a single sim. i probably spend more time in CAS than i do actually playing the game! but it feels worth it, since i enjoy it, and it feels really worth the effort. once i have the ability to post pictures or get an icon on here, i'm excited to share some of my sims!

lately i've been really curious about challenges, and that got me to start looking at the forums here more often! i also ended up making a challenges tumblr (https://simschallenges.tumblr.com/) because i found there wasn't really a good directory of challenges on that site. plus i let people submit their gameplay so they can find other people interested in challenges. it's been fun!

Hello @valkyrieplays :) It is nice to meet you . Welcome to the forums!
It is very nice that you have simming since the original Sims 1 and have been enjoying Sims 4 simming this last year. Simming is enjoyable and fun! Creating sims in CAS is a great part of simming! It is enjoyable working out background details for sims, then choosing outfits that suit them, and seeing how their sims lives then develop in our games!
It is very thoughtful of you to create a challenges tumblr :) It would help simmers to find challenges that they would like to do.
    Happy simming! :)
