    If all adult sims in a household die, should visiting adults have the option to adopt?

    For example, an icon can show up saying something like, "All adults in the Anderson household have died, and Jane Thompson is on the lot. Does the Thompson family want to adopt any children or pets from the Anderson household?" If yes, they can show all children and pets in the household, so that they can choose who to adopt. They may choose one or more children or pets to adopt.

      It's a nice idea, but maybe it could be done via some sort of inheritance system, as randomly going to a house of someone you don't know and stealing the kids there is kinda creepy.

      I tend to edit them and give them a grandmother & grandfather to take over with the same name, then it's a continuing storyline. It's a good idea though if it could be implemented. I'm sometimes surprised in game by this happening as I play with full worlds of Sims on rotation.
