Here's a new little kitchen. I've been seeing the trend of a kitchen island sharing the same surface as a bar height table. I couldn't quite make a counter and a table match but I think I came up with a decent workaround.
Modern Galley kitchen is lovely! @wendyology Very nice design and furnishing of the room! The kitchen island and stools table area looks great! Very nice wood textured furnishings. The patterned rug adds a nice look to the room.
Wooden Zen Garden is a very lovely garden! @luckyheather : It looks very peaceful and restful! The bamboo plants are calming and the waterfountain and blossoms are pretty in between them. The natural wood flooring is very nice. The tiles are a nice touch. The planter boxes are very nice along the back.
Relaxing Water's is a calming and peaceful garden! The desgn is lovely! The blossoms, flowers, pink string lights are very pretty and the greenery is restful for sims to see as they enjoy relaxfully sitting or reading books in the very nice pergola sitting nook. The hanging lantern light is pretty! The waterfall is beautiful coming over the rocks and into the lilypads pond .
Congratulations on it being favourited by Maxis! That is great!
Thank you @rosemow I had a lot of fun today looking at Tiny Japanese garden images via Google then trying to do something similar the Maxis Fave was a huge and wonderful surprise thanks for the Congrats as I am thrilled!
Make that change you are stronger or Grim Reaper may not give you a second chance he thrives on your soul which makes him stronger
Its a 2br and 2ba house
Point of No Return is a very great home for the challenge! @chips46 The exterior design, roofing, statues on roofing , flying bats, old wall texture, and skull fencing with skulls on posts are great! You have designed the outside areas very well! The fogginess gives a great look to the build! The tombstones, sunken skeleton, skulls and ghost gnome area is very scary! The red pool and pigs water fountains area is great! The interior has been very creatively furnished to reflect the challenge theme!
17k Japanese Starter is a lovely starter home for Mt. Komorebi! @luckyheather The Asian style exterior design and roofing looks great! Very nice landscaping! The square floor tiles and the pretty water fountain feature is very nice! The flowers are pretty around the base of the tree. The layout of the build with the patio area between the two sides of the home is very nice! The separate bedroom and bathroom area is great! Sims will enjoy playing card games on the front porch. The flowers and plants through the outside areas are very nice and great gardening nook. Very nice furnishing and open plan layout of the interior! The shoes rack in entrance area is great to use to choose whether sims will have the rule to remove shoes when indoors. The brown and white colour scheme is very nice. The touches of yellow in the bedroom looks nice. The Asian fish print looks great on the bathroom wall!
It is a very nice Asian starter
Thank you @rosemow I am enjoying the Japanese theme now I am getting in the swing of it so to speak :) I have been watching the game changers on YouTube and also collecting lots of images from google for inspiration. The 17k starter was inspired by a wooden model actually, I just changed it for sims 4 and only had problems with roofing Lol its my weak point Thanks for the great review.
Your sims who will live in Mt. Komorebi are very nice! @Hearts4u Nasir and Bradley are handsome,Liana is lovely and Harry and Josh are a very nice Dad and son duo. Josh is sweet!
Riku is handsome @luckyheather It is great that he is planning to go to Mt Komorebi. I hope he will achieve his dream, and reach the top of the mountain! The hairstyle that you have chosen for him is very nice. His colourful clothing is great for him to wear as he goes on his vacation to the new world
So with the advent of EP10 Snowy Escape upon us, even I, a part-time builder, am preparing a build.
Disembodied Voice: Stop slacking and give us Unloved 7!
Me: You shut your mouth!
Anyways, I build semi-accurately and since I have trouble memorizing the technical terms and rules for proper placement of things like the engawa, tokonoma, and the tatami, I never bothered making a Japanese build Geez orenjiAi is such a wet blanket!. So I built another chateau where the only rule to follow is to look pretty and proportioned. LOL
This is actually based on the former Château de Saint-Cloud [sɛ̃ klu] and it will serve as the HQ of the Commission Historique Nationale in my story. Yay for continuity! As of this writing, split-leveling is not yet a thing so since the chateau is built on a hill, the interiors are impossible to build without using the platform tool. The exterior, however, you can sort of make out already.
And the gardens too—which I haven't figured out what it should look like—I was gonna sink into the ground from the prostyle in the right also using the platform tool. Arguably, I think I could make the gardens not sunken by elevating the entire thing. But I already MOO'd a lot of stuff and it'd be pain to fix it at this point.
This would be my largest build so far but it's an office/library/cafe/conference space so I'm not too daunted.
It's still a WIP but I was proud of it and I wanted to share! That's all from me right now. Thanks and happy Simming!
Not new builds as most of my stuff on gallery was made before i joined the gallery and forums back in August. The 3 smallish residential homes are the last 3 homes from my gallery to go on my showcase. Now i'm up to date so can get back to building new stuff yay
Point of No Return is awesome @chips45! I love how erie it looks great job hun.
Love your 17k Japanese Starter home @luckyheather and great that it's affordable straight away too!
Lovely new additions @Hearts4u, love the father and son best.
Your WIP coming along nicely @orenjiAi! Even without using the platform tool you done a great job and trust you to pick such a hard build to do!
Great to see everyone's new additions thanks for sharing for us all to see
Each of your three homes are lovely! @Shaymantha Very nice design of the exterior of the homes, very great outside areas and lovely interior furnishing!
I have posted about them on your showcase thread.
Thanks @rosemow and @Shaymantha for commenting at my WIP. As an update, I did elevate the entire thing by about 4 steps so the garden is kinda sunken already, But I would still be making use of the reverse platforms since it didn’t end up looking like how I imagined it would lol. The build itself is not hard it’s using the terrain tools to sculpt a realistic hill that would be the death of me lol. Also I kinda regret having made it so large since none of the 64x64 lots are doing it for me. The perfect place to plop this would have been the chalet gardens in GT.

I kept the opposite side simple so that people can tear down the walls to suit their houses.
